Ah no problem Tom. We got there in the end, the most important thing was the quality of the product - they were perfect! Totally fitting for the property.
Nice bit of struck joint there and it makes such a difference when you take the time to source the right brick. An all round good nice job love the caps aswell suit the property. Pillers look like they always been there. Cracking job Justin brickright 👍 🧱🧱
Thanks Just, spent a bit of time sourcing the brick, glad you liked it. Nice to see the pillar caps on at the end, they matched the existing 👍 Thank you mate, 👍👍👍
Your bricks matched perfectly Matty, the music accompaniment was ace. I used to wonder how they managed Stonehenge, now I know.😊 The first salvage yard was old Jim O'Grady’s is he still going? Lovely man. The vids get better and better, really enjoyable to watch👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you mate, took a bit of sourcing to get them but I was happy with them in the end. Yes mate, Joe O’Grady if that’s who you mean, he is, new yard but he’s still going, that’s where we were on the film mate. Thanks for the encouragement- appreciated 🙏
Smashed it 👏 costumer delighted the stone masons who produced the victorian pier caps some skills 👌 Squats with the clean and jerk need to raise🏋♀️ 💪🏋
Watched it all now !! Loved it ! Jeeeez that was a precarious job topping them pillars off that was some real shoulder strength 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 the couple of balls looked mint too ! But maybe you should wear some longer shorts Matty 😂! Joking aside great work lads really great watch 👍🏻👍🏻
Ha yeah it was a tricky job but done worse 😅 Glad you liked it mate, you always show support and that’s amazing mate! The shorts 🩳 were good for less restriction when bending 😆😆 All the best mate
Yeah mate I had them about a year, don’t get that much use as mostly paving, great tho aren’t they. Gear doesn’t dry out which is Massive help in the summer. Thanks bud 👍👍👍
Great match on the brick. Looked great!! Was wondering if there was a was to offer a choice in videos...music vs no music. Id rather hear what you're thinking or the trowel raking the brick or nothing as opposed to the techno dance music....Just my opinion.
Thanks John. Appreciate the feedback. I probably use less music now than than this video as it was a year ago. But saying that rarely has anyone said they want less or no music so I’ll have to go with the majority. Cheers
Superb job matty , thot the shorts were for ripping there lad 👍,thot for a second there that the back door off your pick up was gonnae drop when u put the first pillar on it 🙈👍
Haven't finished watching this one yet but it struck me that you didn't copy the bond on the house. Flemish bond , I think. Enjoying the video as usual though.😊 Ok nice job as usual,Matty. You should really have got some proper lifting gear! Your health and safety comes first! I realise it was just a day's work getting them on - a genie lift is around £150-£200 for a week.
Really?? I’m not a bricklayer but I don’t think I’ve ever seen Flemish bond on a free standing pillar? There are pillars at the front of the property and they’re built the same bond (stretcher) as we’ve done. So I don’t agree there I’m afraid. As for the pillars caps, not a days work mate, did it after work one day, 2 hours work, no issues. Thanks 😊
Cracking job, how are you finding working with a truck and trailer? My vans only got a few more years in it and I need a car for the kid now so thinking of the same set up. Cheers👍
I want to do my own gate setup, why do you require the steel pillar in the center if you make a brick pillar? Wouldn't the bricks be strong enough? Love the videos btw
Hi Guys, absolutely stunning work, I also am subscribed to tidyBricks love both your videos. What is the music at the start of this video? Kind regards Danny uk
Hello Danny, hope you’re well chief. Thanks for the support mate. On the music I’m not sure tbh, it’s a royalty free channel i subscribe to in order to be able to use their music, im not sure what the song is, just a random one I picked. Maybe Shazam it?

Ah no problem Tom. We got there in the end, the most important thing was the quality of the product - they were perfect! Totally fitting for the property.

Nice one mate, shorts are rugby ones so all good 😂✊
Your right the hiluxs are bomb proof 💪👍
I think I'd have hired a Genie Lift to put those caps in place - imagine dropping one after a 10-week lead-time... 😮😂
Perfect match. You wouldn’t know the difference
Was happy with them myself mate
Good shout with the lime mortar at the end. So many wouldnt have!
Cheers Jamie. Yeah those caps deserve the best treatment 🥰👍👍
Looks very nice. A bit curious why you started the brickwork as low as you did instead of bringing the concrete up a few more courses...
More in the ground gives more stability. The gates are very heavy 👍
Nice job mate, where did you get the steels?
Haven't finished watching this one yet but it struck me that you didn't copy the bond on the house.

Love it mate. Good with the 5 seats, lockable storage on the back, can get a ton bag on the back too.
Great for towing 👍
I want to do my own gate setup, why do you require the steel pillar in the center if you make a brick pillar? Wouldn't the bricks be strong enough? Love the videos btw
I wouldn’t like to chance it with the size of those gates. They’d just snap off at the bottom
Cheers
Christ matty, i thought your heart was gonna burst on that second lift 😬
As we lifted it moved away from me a bit, threw me off.
Did it though….just 😅
