Simple. Don't sign up to any data harvesting scemes, and boycott anywhere that uses them. Co op rolled out two tier pricing a couple of years ago. Its my nearest shop. (the only supermarket in the village). I haven't bought a single thing from any branch of co op in 18 months now. The indian family owned corner shop gets my business now.
Fair comment - I did chuckle when i had a short time working for a supermarket - customers said they didn't use reward cards as didn't want to be tracked... then paid on card using a smart phone...
I had this happen to me today aswell, over £120 and the £1 spend was in the same place as yours then second was up in Scotland, I to missed the first one as it went to spam folder then 1hr later bam, the full was, Nector said the same to me but upto 28days to transfer to new account

Sorry to hear that - if the £1 spends are happening in the same place you might think Sainsburys might have CCTV of who it is!
