Add to it the fel green/purple, the "gottagofast" leather sets who have less material than those "slow rogue"... The convinient way of solving this should be to make the DH reflect on themself and built a proper order (and a proper identity/wardrobe... and a new spec ?) now that the Legion is defeated for good, with many year of constant watch just for a big "IF they come back" now gone... Also, with the slow and steady flow of hero now retiring. It's a chance to see DH, DK, Monk (Lily Stormstout?), (EDIT : and a warlock!)... join the pool of "Heroic NPC" who give a damn about Azeroth.

There is a whole continent (and a turtle) thinking they are awesome. - Evoker are linked with the Drachtyr race. Despite the rediscovery of the Dragon Isles, they are still discovering the rest of the world. The Demon Hunter and the Warlock are in an odd position. The first because of the absence of their main target and the second because while the fel magic isn't dead, there is a risk of re-summoning someone who could liberate the Legion, aka currently the most dangerous magic right now... but must admit they are kinda "scorched earth solution / we are not playing nice anymore" that do have his charm.
The new one is also too light in the black areas. The contrast of the deep crimson against almost completely black on the rest of the armor still looks good today.
What’s amazing about the original Judgment set is that it looked as good as it did with so few 3d assets and so much of it just “painted” on… it is one of the few OG WoW sets that has held up decently well over the years, and while I think the new one looks great, I don’t think it’s as transformative as some of these other updated sets simply because they did not look as good as Judgment with their lack of texturing… Wrath in particular looks INCREDIBLE to me. While I understand why they went with T2, I’d still love to see modern reinterpretations of T3, and I say that as someone who has full T3 Dreadnaught.

I think every set except DH looks incredible, but the only thing that constantly weirds me out from the set design team is when they make these MASSIVE boots, or shoes which have HUGE armored pieces on a character’s toes. It’s like.. how the hell would they walk in them?

I agree with your assessment of the DH armor… it doesn’t look bad, it just looks like literally every other set of demon hunter armor that has been put in the game, from design to coloration. I really wish they had stepped outside the box for once on that.
Purchased. The PTR is up now and I had a look. They’re 80 of the new currency coins per set, and from what I can tell these coins are awarded 1-3 or so per daily, so they’re gonna take some grinding to get.

Its so sad that evokers are so scuffed when it comes to armor. Like i dont hate the way you can change your basic look with the choices, but i definitly think being able to equip more gear on evoker visably would be better, even if they skip on helmets for start.
Can someone remind me what NPC they are using for the Evoker reference? I thought they said in an interview that it was based on Neltharion/Deathwing's look. But, I always remember his armor in Cata (the one that looks like the tier 13 warrior set). Anyone know what they are referencing?
Not T2 sets though, tier drops in a raid. This is a grind that is almost as bad as farming T2 the first time was. This should be a simple reskin and add monk etc to BWL.
Personly, I would have have change a bit the DK set. "We took inspiration of existing characters"... Yeah, the Lich King yada yada, but did they forget about the Baron Rivendare ? He was actually the very first DK the player encounter and can defeat. The Four Horsemen came later and are more difficult because of their different color scheme. For me, replacing the hooded helmet with a mask + face marking + simple crown would have been a nice change for a plate user. I have nothing to say about the rest of the set : It's classical and harmonious, a few "clothes" part (is this set the dark reflection of the Paladin T2?) to make him look less heavy. If you remove the helmet, pauldron and belt, only pieces that could remind a Frost DK, you can turn it into a Blood or Unholy DK without a problem.
yeah as a dk main im not happy about this set, its pretty bland compaired to every other set so in my taste the best dk gear is still mythic nighthold and its not even close.
They are nice but its a shame the only set with 3d chest elements is the judgment set. Every other set has no 3d assets on the chest, so they look painted on like shirts :(
paladin>mage>monk>druid>priest>evoker for me, a bit disappointed by rogue, especially head and legs could have been better, shoulders are n1. shamy and wl are the "worst" executed but still nice. i like the warrior helmet, but never was a wrath fan, T3 warrior 4 ever^^
Didnt they make a faux t2 helm for DK already when ony was rereleased? Why not take inspiration from that and build a banger set? The helm looked great

Deathknight set is basically just a pair of shoulders. Everything else is so uninspired:( Demon hunter set is sooo boring. Cannot tell the difference between that and any other set they have. How are they unable to come up with something different? Like armor made out of slain demons for starters. Or something not red with gold edges and green gems would be nice. Really hope they add some alternate colorschemes. Jesus christ that hunter set looks dreadful in those colors. All the other sets looks pretty good, especially Paladin, Druid, Monk and Warrior!

With the dk, I would have went with a dk version of the judgement set. Make it dark blue and black and add skulls on the shoulders and spikes.

why? its because tier 2 paly gear is the most recognizable gear in wows history so thats why they chose tier 2.
I think tier 2 are probably the best sets ever released for class identity tbh. Like literally every single set fits the classes thematic
