Someone needs to do a Creature Comforts version of this!
We go to festivals "off and onable" 🐢🎪😁
I think they just did 😆🤘
I couldn't justify blowing £330 / ticket plus extra fees.
And Glastonbury was always beyond my pocket in my youth - so have never been.
I went to Glastonbury 1971 I was 6-7 , been going to them ever since. Ive worked Glastonbury 23 years and funny enough I am still on site at Pilton working .
my advice would be work at festivals
sounds like they are rebelling against their 80 yr old parents...
My first festival was the Isle of Wight, 1970 or '71. The details are for some reason rather hazy, other than a crystal clear memory of the single long drop toilet which was... unforgettable, and definitely not crystal clear.. Oh, and going over on the boat, being passed by a police launch - this at a time when the police were kind of our enemies since they were always trying to bust us hippies for small amounts of relatively harmless herbal substances...Someone in our boat offered the Peace sign and in a minute, they were all doing it back, smiling, and peace and love truly reined there, at least for a while..
60 years old and love going to gigs and festivals. Lot of 80s 90s bands back on tour and great fun. Never feel out of place. I reckon a lot of the younger crowd like having us oldies there as they feel safer. 🎉
just enjoy be happy
Went to a stranglers concert and it was a mixed bag of classes. And we all got along just fine walking on the beaches 🎉
'Weirdly' it costs a shitload of money to put on a festival. You can be bankrupted by one bad year. Yes of course festivals rely on a stable, older, audience who are happy to spend money and who self-police any anti-social elements.
The alternative is not only unviable but illegal.
Glad I went to festivals in the 90s if this is the case. Music festivals need a stable, older, audience? So rock and roll
I havent been able to afford one for 20 years
work the festival in some way
Too Middle Class? How about, too Upper Middle Class. The Middle Class has mostly been priced out of concerts too!!
what does middle class even mean?
@@borinvlogs not destitute, but not rich?
I prefer gigs to fests- too expensive and unpredictable.
So I am not to old joining a festival 😊 67 for now🎉
Get out there and boogie 🎉 60 meself and it keeps you young
The pink haired pensioner brigade .
gimp fests. Free festis of the 80's - now we're talking ✊🏽
geeezo
"Too middle class"?? At what point did festivals become asigned to a specific class?
When ticket prices went through the roof ( or pergola ) .
Hippies always were ?🤔
Approx 2010
Excuse you ja...too expensive and too middle class??? No one died and made you God.
Old people are the only ones with cash.. These aren't music festivals
