LOVE YOUR VIDEO. I've spent so much $$$ on craft supplies and could kick myself in the butt because your using other things you already have available, is inspiring to me. I always thought I had to buy the supplies shown on a video, now I KNOW BETTER!!! THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU!!! BLESSINGS!
Thank you. I am very aware that a lot of people do not get started with crafting as the list of even basic products can be expensive and daunting. Give it a try with everyday items and see if you like it before spending $$$ !
Thank you Alana - so glad you find these tips and ideas useful. I think there's extra satisfaction when you use what you have to create a card from everyday Items - and when they cost so little, you can make lots of them and give them away to charities and fundraisers - more crafty fun for you without breaking the bank.
Sweet...they look really pretty. I do a lot of crafting but never made cards like these. I've watched several vids using napkins to make cards (no idea why I never thought of it years ago, I could've saved a fortune - short arms & long pockets lol) & you have some great tips for non crafters that don't have all the gadgets & gizmo's (credit card instead of a bone folder..genius) Great way to spend time during a rainy day too. Thanks for sharing 💖
Your hint about choosing and measuring the envelope first is spot on! I could not tell you how many times I’ve made a very elaborate card only to find I don’t have an envelope that fits. Then you have to try and work out how to make an envelope out of cardstock and that’s easier said than done, in fact its an absolute pain! So thank you for this, you may just have saved my sanity! 😀
Thank you Mary. Happy to e-meet a fellow Brit! I'm loading more card ideas that do not require expensive stamps/dies etc. so do subscribe and check your feed (right hand side) for the latest projects! :-)

From another Gillian in Australia, thanks, for all the tips. Love the corrugated one instead of foam, you can't see it so brilliant idea. I cannot throw away my cereal boxes so will use them instead of my white cardstock to glue the napkin on. Also have a bunch of coloured copy paper that I can now use to cover the cereal cardboard if I want a different colour underneath. Excellent way to use up what I have. Thank you so much for blowing the cobwebs away from my lazy brain. I have been using the cling film method and my craft class have asked me to demonstrate. I will show both ways but I think your method will be popular. I will link your video to all our members. Stay safe. 🙂
Gillian. You are amazing. How you have created such stunning cards with everyday basic materials. Your is the best card napkin video I have seen (and I've seen many). I feel that in the North, we are very creative with ordinary materials without going to a lot of expense that I see in other videos. I am definitely going to do it your way. Much more practical and easier. Thank you so much. God bless Jo x
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I appreciate your thoughts and trust that your crafting is getting you through these extraordinary times. Stay well and God bless you too.
LOVE LOVE LOVE your creativity using plain cardboard to "puff up" the embellishments!!! Your suggestions will save lots of $$$. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cards. Sharron Simmons
I made a card like this but with 3cm strips of coloured tissue paper. (Look up Scrappy Strips technique). Where they overlapped I got some gorgeous colours!
Thank you so much for sharing your practical ideas. I have been searching for this type of video for a long time and get so frustrated with those that require a small fortune in supplies and equipment. Your cards are lovely and inspiring and I can't wait for your future videos. New subscriber today from Southern Ontario. I'm off now to go through my stash of napkins. Thanks again!!
Hello from Quarantined Cyprus! Thank you very much for your excellent video! I've been looking around for such a tutorial a long time! Your work is amazing and so inspiring! Thanks again!
Cards turned out beautifully. I like your concept here of using things from home. Like too how you folded the napkin over and added the flower "popped" up. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Alana thanks for your question. There was no coating on this card. I think I would add a spray Glitter Blast (Diamond Dust) if anything. I think modge podge would be difficult to apply on the fragile tissue.
Awesome!! Thank you😊
You are so welcome!
Great! I learned some new things today!
Thank you for sharing!!!!

I'm happy for you Jackie - and you are limited only by the number of napkin designs in the world!!!!
I like how the tissue looks a different colour depending on the card you first stick it to.

NICE! 2023
One question: do you suggest putting a light modge podge coating on top of the the finished card?
Hi Alana thanks for your question. There was no coating on this card. I think I would add a spray Glitter Blast (Diamond Dust) if anything. I think modge podge would be difficult to apply on the fragile tissue.
But the colors are better and lighter when the backround is white
Yes the background does make a difference!
