See, the two factions are equally loyal to Chrollo. One is loyal in following his will, and the other is loyal in terms of not letting him die yet if there was a way. It shows how in rare times, clear rules are hard to apply to complicated realities.
The thing I love about Chrollo's reaction to Kurapika's question about the Kurta is how realistic it is. Like in other shows this is the time when the antagonist explains everything or at least something. But Chrollo basically just says "I dont have to explain anything to you", just like a person who is deeply loyal to a cause would say if they were captured by enemies :)
Yeah but also imo it shows that Chrollo despite not being a 'good guy' doesn't enjoy unnecessary cruelty, normally an evil villain would enjoy torturing Kurapika with the detailed depiction of his clan's last moments...I think it's a hint that Chrollo's motivations and circumstances are more complex than we are made to believe at first glance (and ofc if you are manga reader you'll know more about it 😉) I like that he's not trying to justify himself as well but also there's the fact that the fortune didn't mention that kidnapping so he knows he won't die here so why would he tell him what he wants to know (which is tbf torture in itself)?
10:55 what do you mean "not really".. he literally said "kill me" to kurapika afte he got asked about the spiders' hideout, he could've ratted them out easily but he chose death instead
@@Red_Boar Ya. That's why Chrollo asks Kurapika about Uvo's last words x) He was telling Kurapika like "whatever he said, that's what I would say to you too."
Losing half of limbs is more about them getting into serious fights with each other than fighting Kurapika I think. Shizuku kind of stopped that for the time being by being cool-headed ^^'
Hisoka's fortunes that he made up has precision about that he should not leave the current hideout and troupe members know about this if he left they might suspect right so he needs help to go out to have his date with the leader. I don't want to reveal too much don't know whether you guys watched the next episode or not.
Zeno said to Chrollo that he would’ve won unless Chrollo was actually trying to kill them. Which means the leader was not fighting for real, he was just trying to copy their abilities but if Chrollo would fight for real, most likely he would win.
Against both of them Chrollo has no chances to win, he was asking about a 1V1 and Zeno actually said that if Chrollo tried to kill him his answer would be different, and it makes sense bc he doesn't know which abilities Chrollo could use from his book, so he's definitely not saying he would lose but that he's not sure he would win

I guess I just interpreted that as him realizing he couldn't win.
Yes. "Kill me" and his last word "Get lost. Fool" to kurapika without any hesitation
also that smiles before his last word
