The glass bottle slowed to a stop, and Sara’s heart skipped a beat as she looked up. Sasha briefly met her eyes and let out a short little laugh, shrugging her shoulders a little.
Sara ignored the heat in her cheeks, ignored the images of kissing Sasha that flashed through her mind. Instead, she spun the bottle again. She realized she’d never quite felt this way about anyone, much less another girl. Was the alcohol getting to her? Maybe. But Sara had to admit, the high of a crush combined with being alcohol definitely felt good.
Tossing her hair out of her face, she kissed Anh. While she could feel her pulse quicken as he cupped his hands around her face, Sara’s thoughts slipped to Sasha. If only Sasha would look at me like Anh does, she thought as her lips finally parted from his.
Anh was cute enough, sure, and she found the way he looked at her made her feel beautiful, but Sasha was a whole nother story. She had those lovely greenish blue eyes, like grandidierite, and her smile was sweet, like it was meant just for the receiver.
But Sasha was straight. And she liked Matt.
Let it go, Sara thought. Enjoy yourself. She swallowed her drink with Matt and thanked him silently for the excuse to drink. Sara kissed Anh and ignored his stupid, ugly sunglasses hanging off his neck.
She watched beautiful Sasha kiss Matt, and how Jordan and Gabby, both apparently unwanted, were brought together. In the end, Sara even confessed that she thought that “we had a lot in common,” and “we have a connection,” to Anh. Ubers were called, the crew said goodbye to each other. Sara resigned herself to the heartbreaking feeling that she would never see Sasha again.
Sara watched as Sasha grabbed her things, running a tired hand through her golden locks. Downing another shot glass or three of liquid courage, Sara dropped her bag and jacket and ran. She burst through the doors after Sasha into the cold, where it had just started to snow. Ignoring the cold wintery bite, Sara rushed after Sasha, trying to get to her as she stepped into the Uber
“Wait! Sasha!”
Sasha turned in surprise, her expression quickly melted into a warm, if not slightly confused smile. “Oh, Sara,” She twisted her head to the side quizzically and chuckled. “What are you doing out here in the cold? Where are your things?”
Sara blushed, realizing how silly she must look. “Um. I needed to s-say. Ask-? Ask sh-something impotant- important.”
Sasha raised her eyebrows expectantly. “Yes?”
“Fuck- this was a bad…. Was never gonna- Are you busy right now?”
“Would I have just agreed to get drunk and make out with strangers if I wasn’t?”
“Right. Um. Coffee. Want? Do you want? Coffee, I mean?”
Sasha grinned. “I thought you’d never ask. Let's go.”

@@james-775 I think it’s classified under asexual which personally kind of makes no sense to me but it’s just a person of any sexuality who feels no sexual attraction toward people they do not know. Like, you can think someone is attractive, you can even think they’re 10/10 but it does nothing for you until you feel emotionally connected to them. Which can often take a long time, and demi people often date their friends. basically there is no one night stand, there is no immediate hookup, there is nothing until you know them very well. Once you do, you may begin to have feelings for them. Maybe not. But at any rate you will only feel sexual attraction toward people you have an emotional and long term connection with. I always say you can tell a demi by the fact that they do not have a celebrity crush. Just…can’t do it. I know that they’re hot, and they seem nice, but I just don’t feel anything. I personally think we’re also more likely to fall for fictional characters because you get to know them really well. The asexual label kind of never made sense to me tbh

It's on the ace spectrum because some demi-sexual people don't feel sexual attraction towards others until they know them better and have developed an emotional intimacy with their partner/s. This can range of course, hence why it's under the asexual umbrella.

Like it’s true, we don’t, but ace seems like it should be reserved for people who have actual asexuality whether it’s sex-enjoying, sex-neutral or sex-repulsed. But demi drive can be anything. It just seems off calling ourselves asexual when that is supposed to denote a certain feelings toward sex. Yes we’re a subcategory but I don’t think we really fit even with the other sub categories. Unless you really ARE asexual but can sometimes feel desire if you have an emotional connection because you’re demi. But that’s not the case for me, my drive is super high. So I’m confused to be grouped with the people who really do express asexuality.

I love that Cooper took like three minutes to talk about how they're consenting adults and it's not weird for them to want to kiss each other, and then literally said "I only want to see them kiss if they're in love."
