Read in a few forums how annoying it is to change the headlight on the Honda CBR1100XX, and, while it is quite an inconvenience, it wasn't too bad. Hope this video can help others when tackling this job. I installed LED bulbs, will let you know how it's going in a future video. - Авто та транспорт
I changed mine in 10 minutes by just putting my hand in the back of the dash,remove the dust cap,remove the sir clip,change bulb, and replace in reverse order.
Not1 screw removed.

i wear xl gloves an i had no problem reaching the bulb from the rear, didnt need a screw driver
The first thing I did was jump to comments to see who changed theirs without taking the bike apart 🤣
Thnx changed bulb today followed your steps,. Removing the front cowl made it really easy. Even though I now know how to do it I can’t imagine changing it without removing the front cowl
Dont need to remove the front fairing, Just take the two panels off under the speedo and stick your hand in and change them. I dont have children size hands either. 15 minutes tops. Good vid tho.
I tried that, I must have weird arms cos I couldn’t get in there cleanly 😂

I have used LED bulbs in my bikes in the past and while they look really bright the light they lay down on the road has been very poor, how did you find the light from these and which bulbs did you use?
I have found them great. I used a new more compact style that's supposed to be for bikes. I agree, they definitely lay the light down differently, the klow beam is great, the high beam is dissipated very wide but I think probably not as intense.
@@VroomBroomZoom I just purchased a 99 blackbird. All the gauges work but the cluster lights dont come on. Any idea what the issue is or how to fix it? I'm assuming it's not the bulbs because all of them dont work. Is there a daylight fuse somewhere?
Bob The Builder have not had this before, but surely there’s a fuse. Good luck with it.
@@VroomBroomZoom ok thanks. I couldn't wait to fix it so I went out in the garage and would you believe they were all bad. I know unheard of but each one I changed lit up. I think maybe from the bike not really being riden they just died one by one. I picked up the bike yesterday and when I sat on it it was literally at 7000 miles.

And just so you know at 2:41 on the vid it shows you haven’t put the air induction pipes back on correctly there’s not meant to be a gap it fits over the inside of the fairing just saying 👍🏻

Which led bulbs did you use ?
I ended up going back to a normal bulb. These were bright to look at but didn’t spread enough.

did you put leds in the indicators?
Kept them stock. I've been sticking with bulbs because of the resistance issue and subsequent fast blinks.
@@VroomBroomZoom you can get a £20 2 PIN 12V LED INDICATOR FLASHER RELAY PLUG Honda ST1300,GL1500,CBR1100XX from eBay it sorts it. have you seen the vid of sidelight led's in the indicators!!! looks really cool.

It’s not Quite as easy as the guy is saying. Lining the fairing up to put it back on is a f!@#ing nightmare.

Total overkill. Check Manual for Blackbird. All you need to do is just unscrew two screws and take down upper cowl cover. Page 124 in manual.
Mirrors? Maybe they forgot the bike has mirrors attached to the frame underneath.
dont mix upper cowl cover and front cowl cover. Im sure that in manual there are no mistakes

This is a complete waste of time, you can get your hands to the back of the headlight bulbs, bit tricky but much easier than this amateur video.
You know what they say about people with big hands....although I have tiny hands. Couldn’t fit mine down there 😂😂😂
I’m 6’4 with huge hands.
Reality, I had to take it apart for the led anyway, but yeah, at a pinch, one could fumble their way through a regular bulb replacement 👍👍👍
