STOP COMPARING THIS TO TOOL. Tool is my favorite band in the world, and to all those on the fence about this be open-minded and really take the time to sit, listen and digest it. If you have a strong appreciation for progressive music don't miss out because you listen to these people putting it down because they live in a bubble. This is an amazing piece of music from a young group of guys and it's their DEBUT album. I have a lot of faith they will grow and explore their talents further as time goes on. They plan to have a new album in the coming months.

I think I like them more than Tool. Tool's vocalist gets on my nerves after a few songs. I think they sound like a cross between Tool and Re-Stoned with a few other bands' influence. A buddy of mine turned me onto them just yesterday. I'm loving it!

I don’t hear the similarity at all. The guitars don’t have that hauntingly unhinged feeling that Jones brings. The drums aren’t hit with the kind of driving force that Carey hits with (but let’s face it he is a monster) & the bass is subdued rather than out front & prominent as was started by D’Amore & now carried by Chancellor. The vocal delivery is a bit haunting. No this band sounds nothing like Tool & I think that’s a good thing. They are a different kind of animal & I’m not taking a dump on them. I think that they are enjoyable to listen to. While I love Tool, I think that it does this band a disservice to say that they sound like Tool. Tool fans will read that & because they don’t sound like Tool will instantly not like their music because of expecting to hear one thing & getting another.

It's influenced , it's okay and if this band still going maybe they could make a new genre or style in music

Paradiddle44 straight up. They definitely did. Like this could literally be a Tool song with way worse vocals

Zach The Anime Hunter in a world where music is progressing so slowly, it’s counterintuitive to rip someone else off so bad. Especially when the listeners and most musicians want to hear/make something different yet listenable it makes the 99 bands that copy tool or even the mars volta look like idiots. Look up the Contortionist and you will see a band trying to progress

This album is desperately missing that heavy attacking gain on the guitar. Pretty cool concepts and execution. Just missing layers on guitar tone. I still really like this though. Just needs a better mix.

Hey I fucking love Tool one of my favorite bands I seen them in 96 in Atlanta. But I don't like comparing bands like that. I can definitely see the tool similarity but these guys are pretty fucking good they have their own thing. What better fucking band to influence u then Tool anyway, Right. 😊🤜🏻🤛🏻😶

There are elements of the band I enjoyed. I think it's extremely unfair however for the band to be advertised using Tool because you know it will grab peoples attention but only on the short term. If my music was shared as such I would personally find it insulting. It's their music and should be presented as THEIR music and put in the comments all you want if you think they sound like Tool.
The only reason I thought they sounded like Tool initially was because I saw Tool written in the title and I instinctively tried to find similarities. After listening through the whole album I felt like they sounded quite far apart and they had multiple other influences that obviously are not mentioned because it won't grab the audience's attention.
Overall I think they have potential, but if their music is released as such they won't get far. Releasing and album and then pinning a comment saying "This is for you" with a bunch of other bands listed is silly. The album is for themselves and those who are captivated by their sound. All this does is make the listeners go back to those other bands and Lucid Planet is forgotten.

Maybe they have created a new genre and others are finally catching on and following. But no one will ever come close to TOOL💙 What would the genre be called anyways??
