@@Salomon_G It is actually Maynards fault though because he puts too much time in all his other ventures. The music had been done they were just waiting on Maynard's lyrics. Can't blame him though, hard to have passion about something you've been doing for that many years.
I hear Tool. I hear A Perfect Circle vocal style. I hear Pink Floyd soundscape. I hear Led Zeppelin when they did the No Quarter CD with the Egyptian musicians. This is easily the best new music I have heard in quite a while.
I don't think they sound anything like TOOL. They have their own raw sound. Similar instruments, but definitely a unique presentation. Listen for yourself, question others opinions. Keep it up LUCID PLANET!!!!
They do. If the entire presentation reminds you of other band, then the presentation does sound like either worse or better version of that artist. I hear Tool all over the place here. The Tool sound production is second to none, however, so everything else will sound like a worse version. Harmonies are so similar, instrument sound is slightly less perfect sound interpretation of Tool. I don't like copy cats that are too obvious. Being inspired by someone is plausible quality, but then you have to take it in different dimension in every aspect of the original inspiration.
Wow, hats off to you gentlemen. More albums need to take you on a journey somewhere in the mind. I found this band on some random FB reel and I'm glad I looked it up on UA-cam!
I didn't even have to scroll down to know that 95% of the comments below were going to mention Tool in some way or another. Some people really need to listen to other bands man.....Tool did not invent that "psychedelic metal" style of music, they simply are the most popular band to do so.
+GooGuGajoob No I mean I'm a Tool fan and I completely agree. We chase off any band thats even close to prog rock for some stupid reason. For a group of fans who claim a higher level of musical taste and knowledge we are the most closed minded and venomous people out there. We are that 12 year old playing call of duty who calls everyone else noobs and claims we've been playing since the first modern warfare... Its just hilarious because we act like prog didn't exist, and then Tool happened, now no one dare build on that or become the "next" Tool. We're just going to complain about everything, shut down any new bands that dare tickle that same part of our brain, and wait until our extinction, because we even friggin get shitty to new tool fans.
Listening to this makes me go to a different world I feel my own. This is the most creative music I've ever heard. Thankyou, I was a major drinker and drug addict.. listening to this and putting my mind together I run everyday. Haven't touched a drink or smoked or anything for a while 🙂 so spiritual music. Love you lucid planet ♥️
2 minutes into the song I can feel my hair standing up on my head, the acid flowing through my veins. that moment you know something is going to be fan-fucking-tastic
here I am, more'n a month later. still listening to this UNBELIEVABLY awesome album on a daily basis. now, after christmas I finally have enough spare money to buy it. Sorry for listening to it so long without paying, but I told at least 60 people about it and send the link out like it was my own music, to be precise... more than that, I actually never send out links of my own music. This album is a masterpiece. I love the original character of it. The "lucid planet" in it, but i also love the slight lovenotes to their influences in it. the "lateralus rhythm" the at times alice in chains worthy snarling vocals, the "tesseract voice". but my favorite is the sitar-style sound in the first few minutes (those octave? chords). I used this album while learning for study, to relax, to inspire me, to simply enjoy it, to write... i even fucked to it several times. this piece of music influenced me on so many levels and had such an impact on my life... there are just a few albums that did that to me. dark side of the moon, lateralus, crack the skye, ghost reveries, 10 000 days and sorceress. and i don't list those to scale this band down, exactly the opposite. i totally admire those bands and albums and see lucid planet up with them, without any difference. And that is what i tell people, i list lucid planet with those as my favourite bands and tell them to check this out. and i am pretty sure that they will go big some day, because this kind of quality just has to. and then i will go full hipster and tell everyone how long i have been listening top them before, hahaha^^. no really... despite them maybe never seeing this... this album, your art, your music mean so much to me, made my life so much greater, so much better... I love it to death. Fuck those Tool cunts, I am an absolute tool fanboy and of course you are of the same genre... but... that is what I needed, what I want. YOU are one of the greatest bands I have ever listened to (and I have listened to a lot) and absolutely up there with tool, and I hope you don't take that as an insult. it is as if you told a radically religious person there is a second god and he listens to his voice and says, you are right, there isn't only one... not that I only worshipped tool before... but you get the point. And I don't want to say you copy them either. YYour music is a totally awesome and original own mix... it's just the same genre for me, the same league. deep purple and uriah heep, you know? I've tripped to this album and it make me feel like everything clicked into place, right in that moment, with the music. Felt like this music was perfectly made for that moment. Awesome.
I love this band especially because they progress in tone, time signature, and heaviness throughout the entire album, which is something most don't see in modern psychedelic music.

This is nothing short of absolutely amazing. Whether you like Tool or not this FUCKING AMAZING! Personally ...... a band hasn't made me sit and listen to an entire album and be completely enthralled since Tool. AWE-fucking-STRUCK! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO who wants to listen again?
Tool did not invent prog rock, and should not be the end all of comparison for every other band in that genre. Can you not just enjoy this incredibly well mixed and mastered work of musical genius? I welcome, with open arms, any band that strikes me and inspires me, and I don't feel the need to compare it to anything else. Keep the mind OPEN...peace.
This group reaffirms my strongly held belief in the authority of the collective unconscious. Thank you for expressing my deep untouchable truths, Lucid Planet.
Today 18.10.20 I first listen to it. Im great MJK and Tool fun, but it very cool! I will recommend this band to my friends! Greetings from partisan dictature Minsk
I'm an old fart from the 70s and after about 1980 or so I didn't have much to listen to except for Metallica. Iron Maiden, and bands like that. Until TOOL. Now I have Prisma and Lucid Planet too, and I'm loving every minute of it.
Very good sound. I'm quite impressed. Those of you condescending for others mentioning Tool should just relax. Not everyone has access to other people or radio stations that introduce them to new/different bands or genres. There's no prize for being first, or a long time listener to either a band or a genre. I'm nearly 50 years old and have been listening to Prog since my first vinyl record - Illuions on a Double Dimple by Triumvirat - which I bought only because it had a mouse on it and I was a little kid. I had no other folks hipping me to Prog. No matter how we found our way here, we're here now...all are welcome.
I feel bad for these guys, they're constantly being compared to Tool. Yes, they sound like Tool, but instead of comparing and contrasting, why don't we all just appreciate that this is just amazing music?
Tool doesn't make music they fuck off for over 10 years in between albums and disappoint their fans with a album far worse than their last one. Sad but true. Tool fans are crybabies and think tool is so fucking great but they actually steal all their sound from others bands like the feersum enjin and early days melvins. Cry about it tool fan s it's the truth. Maynard is a coward fake fuck hiding in the shadows every tool show since he stopped wearing bras and women's wigs. Pathetic man he is.
1-Listen: Submerged, now ready To wash away this mask Submerged, and crawling Away from everything that has passed I will follow you Guided by whatever you may bring Listen to your slightest breath Keep me warm and let me heal Don’t leave me hanging broken On the edge Call me to you From where I'm meant to be Lead me to your side Far beyond the way Far beyond the way, never knowing how far The way to break, escape Don't know where you are But I feel you leading me Throughout this sanctuary Are those who seek to take And let it burn
I like them much more than Tool actually. Especially since Maynard behaved like a hysteric, sociopathic manchild concerning veganism. Tool hasn't moved on. They stagnated or did even a step back.
Enjoyed your album; great work! The subtle rhythms and intense crescendos are well placed. The production value is great - well done, gents! I look forward to your next effort and, if ever in AUS, will see you! On a side note, people will always 'compare' to what they are familiar with and that's generally not a large sample of material. Let the hater comments go ... instead they should be asking themselves, "what have I composed, performed, produced, and put out there?" Answer - probably not a lot. In the end, what others think of you is irrelevant - the fact that you created this is fantastic. Keep up the great work. Cheers!
There ARE some Maynard-inspired aspects to this album, but I will tell you right now, the Lucid Planet album absolutely stands on its own. As much as I love Tool, the Lucid Planet album is actually a more cohesive piece of work. Tool is definitely louder, more varied, and more intricate. Tool has a HUGE body of work, I credit them with a MOUNTAIN of creativity, and they should be credited as magnificent artistic pioneers. With that said, the Lucid Planet album is a VERY enjoyable album that deserves way more credit than it receives. Additionally, for the few people that feel that Tool has "a few good songs but several other songs that are just not approachable", those people will find Lucid Planet to be just the opposite, in that the entire album in approachable with ultra-smooth transitions. I am looking forward to more music from these boys from Down Under!
8- Requiem: I never chose this Shadowed by the place that I Could never dream I'd hide from. Dust to shell the soul It's all we've ever known Severing the flow Dust to shell the soul It's all we've ever known Lights fading Returns us whole, as one Standing on the fault line Is it something that I've missed I've traveled too far Out of reach, no ground in sight No where to rest, my soul Running from the broken lies Coming home tomorrow Here we are As what we are Confused and far smaller Than we all believe Hold it in your hand Lay it on the line Help me now to understand You tread upon the other side Lay it on the line Then we can see Made up of an open mind Forged upon a memory I can't bring you back to me But still have the will to carry on Sunken under my skin Time has come To dispel the air of ill repute Pushing through our inner space Time has come Channel a change I'll Not Beg You To Realize This world is my truth

Thank you so much for your music. I love it and reaches my inside. 31:24 is for me the best part of the full Album.. WOW!! F*** listened to this cd a lot the last days. Great music, keep going
2- Apparatus: Finally found the trigger Can you now see it through until the end? Or be redelivered Through the space of contentment surely spared Wide Awake In a dream Embrace The meaning Engage me Or erase me From your mind As this moment is temporary Fighting inside For the light to break through Not out of time Find reason to Carry on And remind myself I'm here and now As this moment's gone and letting me go Down and you look where you run Look where you hide Everything placed in the heart And it's all gone wrong There on the line, on the brink There where you breathe Laying it out in the open Is it undone Now, is to choose where you stand Live or to die By the ruling force of your hand Shine on through
i think there r a lot of people mentioning Tool cuz when u look up Tool this band is recommended. So Tool loverz are directed to them that way and would not have known about them other wise.
I found this band by a happy accident. I think it's fair to say lots of people (including myself) see similarities to Tool's music. In my opinion it's because the philosophy and soul behind creations of both bands is pure and harnesses fundamentally similar spiritual inspiration. At the same time, I don't think it serves justice to Lucid Planet to maintain this pointless comparison exercise. Their music is pure art and perfectly vibrant independent creation which should be appreciated as equal to all great creations. Also, please see their official yt channel.

Do you feel the unwanted conquering
Do you seek the air of love in me
We should up and
Overthrow the crown and breathe
The warmth you feel
you were to give to me
Is false in truth you are the lying thief
Pray there not be
another like you to lead
As for your world of wealth
As for your needs
Let us breathe
Crimson light of which I’ve never seen
Bold you are to think the less of me
We should take it upon ourselves
and breathe
Do you feel the unwanted conquering
Do you seek the air of love in me
We should up and Overthrow the crown and breathe
As for your world of wealth
Has certain needs
Take what you want and go
Why can’t I just breathe
I won’t, give you nothing
All I am is a purpose not of my own
I won’t give you nothing
All I am is a purpose of the unknown
I will take you into darkness with me you’ll see
Can you feel the water, drowning
Digging under, dragging me by my heels
Watch the world around me
crumble from the top
Pick its self-up again and
chase Its own tail
I won’t be the one to tell you to stop
You can think for yourself and watch what you have turned into
Cover my eyes shield me from truth
I need to feel bulletproof
hold me, mother my mind
let me know that I am real
Teach me your way
so I dare not think for myself
Wait until the day will come
when I will
Open up my eyes
Open up my eyes
Bringing me down
(Let this not be endless)
bringing me down
(Let the wounds procured here, now)
Open my eyes
Open up my eyes

This group reaffirms my strongly held belief in the authority of the collective unconscious. Thank you for expressing my deep untouchable truths, Lucid Planet.
31:23-32:22 Great moment accompanied by powerful lyrics. These guys are the best
best band ever formed pure musical genius
Wow... This band is just awesome! Thank god for you tube suggestions!
I'm glad I decided to listen to this. This is beautiful.
These Guys hit my musical world like a comet! Excellent! Excellent music!
I'm only slightly less excited for new lucid planet than I am for new tool, and that's the highest compliment I can ever pay to a band.
This album is great!!!
Not very often I hear an album that I don't wanna stop listening too from start to end but damn this is so good.
Today 18.10.20 I first listen to it.
Im great MJK and Tool fun, but it very cool!
I will recommend this band to my friends!
Greetings from partisan dictature Minsk
Love it. Great stuff. Just bought the album on Amazon and will spread the word!
I'm an old fart from the 70s and after about 1980 or so I didn't have much to listen to except for Metallica. Iron Maiden, and bands like that. Until TOOL. Now I have Prisma and Lucid Planet too, and I'm loving every minute of it.
absolutely gorgeous, hope for more from them
Very good sound.
Exceptional music ! Top quality band , SUPER music !
Nice. I found this, when listening to TOOL.
me too but nice indeed
didn't we all ... I ordered their CD 5 minutes after I clicked the music ...
Lol same
this music so cool but the vocal hmmmm look like emo band wkwkk
Tool doesn't make music they fuck off for over 10 years in between albums and disappoint their fans with a album far worse than their last one. Sad but true. Tool fans are crybabies and think tool is so fucking great but they actually steal all their sound from others bands like the feersum enjin and early days melvins. Cry about it tool fan s it's the truth. Maynard is a coward fake fuck hiding in the shadows every tool show since he stopped wearing bras and women's wigs. Pathetic man he is.
Love this band immensely. Play at least one of their songs a day.
This video has more likes than their Facebook page, lol.
Go over there and support the artist, guys ;)
39 minutes into this. Already having a copy shipped to me. Very well polished for a debut album. Excited to see what they come up with in the future.
the best ever thing i heard from 6 year ago ..
are you from 2021? this was two years ago.
Drop Therapy you're bad at math hahahah
2023?
Yes
1-Listen:
Submerged, now ready
To wash away this mask
Submerged, and crawling
Away from everything that has passed
I will follow you
Guided by whatever you may bring
Listen to your slightest breath
Keep me warm and let me heal
Don’t leave me hanging broken
On the edge
Call me to you
From where I'm meant to be
Lead me to your side
Far beyond the way
Far beyond the way, never knowing how far
The way to break, escape
Don't know where you are
But I feel you leading me
Throughout this sanctuary
Are those who seek to take
And let it burn
I like them much more than Tool actually. Especially since Maynard behaved like a hysteric, sociopathic manchild concerning veganism. Tool hasn't moved on. They stagnated or did even a step back.
All i can say is "WOW" ...You guys are quite eclectic, mesmerising and mind soothing!! One of my new favorites!
Beautiful voice.
This is fucking phenomenal. I just found this album 2 days ago and have listened to it on repeat nonstop. Wow.
Cheers!
this is masterpiece
I am looking forward to more music from these boys from Down Under!
neurosis333 thank-you for your beautiful comment, I agree and really appreciate your heartfelt, EDUCATED input. :) Peace, friend.
Requiem reminds me of The Mars Volta. I love Lucid Planet. They take the vibes from so many artist.
I really like this. The hand drumming is remeniscent of Tuatara.
8- Requiem:
I never chose this
Shadowed by the place that I
Could never dream I'd hide from.
Dust to shell the soul
It's all we've ever known
Severing the flow
Dust to shell the soul
It's all we've ever known
Lights fading
Returns us whole, as one
Standing on the fault line
Is it something that I've missed
I've traveled too far
Out of reach, no ground in sight
No where to rest, my soul
Running from the broken lies
Coming home tomorrow
Here we are
As what we are
Confused and far smaller
Than we all believe
Hold it in your hand
Lay it on the line
Help me now to understand
You tread upon the other side
Lay it on the line
Then we can see
Made up of an open mind
Forged upon a memory
I can't bring you back to me
But still have the will to carry on
Sunken under my skin
Time has come
To dispel the air of ill repute
Pushing through our inner space
Time has come
Channel a change
I'll Not Beg You To Realize
This world is my truth
Glad to have entered here. Also, love the artwork.
Love this band from my neck o' the woods....go Aussies !!

5- Olm 053:
You're not the only one living here
What is here has been and gone again
Hush the voices, reach out further
Beyond
Mark the makings truly of a man
What was here is coming round again
Ignorance in stone until we know
Where we're from
I see this
Surrounds me
Always sinking
I feel this
Around me
Always slipping through
I see this
Surrounding
Always sinking
I feel this
Around me
Always slipping through
Find me facing away from the day behind
Over the path, unlike we’ve never walked before
Remind me of each passing trait I hold
I’m not the one, trapped in this moment
I’m moving forward I could have sworn
Unchained
mind blown
how i find yu in facebook...yu re just so amazing beautifull
Humor do Melhor the fuck¿ LOL
This album calms me down and helps to clear my mind. With everything going on in my life, at the moment, I really needed music like this. Thank you very much for this piece of artwork.
El nacimiento de una gran banda, con un progresivo fresco y moderno.
Thank you so much for your music. I love it and reaches my inside. 31:24 is for me the best part of the full Album.. WOW!! F*** listened to this cd a lot the last days. Great music, keep going
Great work btw. I started my day with this album twice over on my drive back from Ohio to mass. Sure did give me them Willy’s
2- Apparatus:
Finally found the trigger
Can you now see it through until the end?
Or be redelivered
Through the space of contentment surely spared
Wide Awake
In a dream
Embrace
The meaning
Engage me
Or erase me
From your mind
As this moment is temporary
Fighting inside
For the light to break through
Not out of time
Find reason to
Carry on
And remind myself I'm
here and now
As this moment's gone
and letting me go
Down and you look where you run
Look where you hide
Everything placed in the heart
And it's all gone wrong
There on the line, on the brink
There where you breathe
Laying it out in the open
Is it undone
Now, is to choose where you stand
Live or to die
By the ruling force of your hand
Shine on through
i think there r a lot of people mentioning Tool cuz when u look up Tool this band is recommended. So Tool loverz are directed to them that way and would not have known about them other wise.
hey you I think that's for the cover. Reminds a lot the style of Alex Gray's works
hey you hey you
Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey
Learn to swim
Will G III or their tool
i love Tool and like this band too
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
One of my favourite albums as of very recently. Flawless.
