I first stumbled across these Minnesota Streetcar Museum videos a couple of months ago. My parents moved from Duluth to Minneapolis in 1956 so the streetcars were long gone when we arrived. As a result, I knew little about them. The only time I had seen one in person was in the early 1950s when we visited relatives in St. Paul. I was out walking with my cousin when a PCC passed by. These videos are great! You really bring to life what public transportation was like i the early 20th century. Thanks for all the detail you put into these videos and making them available on UA-cam.
It was Model Stone and Ready Mix. You can still see some small old wooden boxcars used for storage near that old spur at 60th Pleasant. Midwest Lumber, on the NE corner of 61st Lyndale, was also served by that spur from around 1946 until maybe 1960.
I live two miles from that location and went looking for that exposed track based on the information in the video. I didn't find it at 61st and Nicollet and wondered if it had been removed or buried. The Lejunne Steel reference threw me off as it is located between Blaisdell and Plesant on 60th Street. The northwest corner of 61st and Nicollet has some landscaping so is that where the track is/was? It may just be buried under the loose aggregate.
