E-KOTUG, the first hybrid Rotortug!

KOTUG has developed and operated the first hybrid tugboat in the world. The basis for this battery hybrid Rotortug concept was a conversion of an RT 80-32 design (RT Adriaan) followed with two purpose built hybrid ART 80-32 design Rotortugs.
KOTUG is always at the forefront of innovation and environmental awareness and continues to incorporate innovative solutions in tugboat designs such as battery hybrid, cross-link mechanical, full electric, LNG and other types of reduced emission propulsion systems onboard the vessels.
