You're correct. Not just to accessory. To the ON position. Of course, we can also deduce that from all the cluster lights coming on.
Haha. I just paid a guy to reset my engine light after an oil change. He plugged in his tablet but I didn't really see him do anything? However I remember him turning my ignition [JK 2008 diesel] off and on and pumping the brake pedal 3 times. I gave him $65 and it wasn't until days later it suddenly came to me. I never have had this problem in the past however I thought it was because I blew out the MAF sensor and thought that I had ruined it. I couldn't reset it using my JScan and bluetooth device and thats why I went to him.
2015 Rubicon and I get the chime after pushing the gas pedal three times.

Dealer wanted me to drive back 40 miles one way for a reset then 40 back home again after the first 80mi when they forgot to do the reset for my oil and filter change this morning. Expect a blessing-"Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure,pressed down, shaken together and running over shall men give unto you"

that was sweet just had my oil changed on my 2017 willys and they didn't reset it an it was bugging the crap out of me .....thanks
probably clearest instructions I've seen. What I do is I pull up oil on the in dash menu and then follow the steps. you can instantly see if it works because it changes from w/e % to 100%.

what percentage does it turn on? mine is at 14% and kinda bothering me. my civic turn on at 15%.

What will happen if I don't reset the change oil light ?
I did not even know my 2015 had a switch to do this and when my light came on wayyy early I was upset to say the least. I am guessing the button is on the rear of the steering wheel or do we use the gas pedal only????
