I switched to iPhone after many years on Android because I was tired of bugs and poor battery life regardless of whatever phone I had. Weirdly, the main thing that makes the iPhone tough for me is typing. I use Gboard and 90 precent of my typing is swipe-based, as I've always found it to be insanely faster than typing each key. Gboard on the iPhone is definitely better than Apple's stock keyboard, but it is absolutely nowhere in the same universe as Gboard on Android, which can nearly always predict what I'm trying to type regardless of how sloppy I am with my thumb. Honestly, it's painfully obvious that Android has had several years to perfect it's swipe typing, while on the iPhone it still feels like it's in beta. This probably doesn't matter to people who have been used to clicking every key for years, but it's nearly a deal-beaker for me.
I found the same issue for me as well. Typing is a pain. I started to type rather than swipe. Will have to try that Gboard or i used Swiftkey a long time ago that was ok. It’s mapping keystrokes, auto-correct, predicting words based on your history. Maybe you can check that… Thanks for watching ✌🏼
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm thinking about switching from a Pixel to an iphone as the Pixels keep getting bigger and bigger, it's insane. But learning from your experience, I think I will stay with Android after all. I really can't give up the back button (swipe gestures in my case) and the fingerprint reader.
There are gestures on the iPhone but you can’t swipe back from the right side. It is a great phone, i started to like it, especially now that i have other Apple devices.
@@UrReviewBuddy I understand. That's what keeps me with Android, too, as I don't have any Apple products and I'm worried that once I start owning an iphone, I'll be tempted to buy a new iPad and/or a Macbook to match with it =)))
Pixel 6 is way to big. For what it has. Ya. Nothing special. Just huge camera bezel and wide not fit in your pocket size. Then it weighs as much as a MacBook. Damn near the same size why is everyone making giant phablets instead of smaller phones.
Because of pixel 6 being shipped out defective to me. And the huge size Samsung and Google went I am in the process of switching to iphone. At least they still make small phones for those who want a small phone. Trying the SE model to make it simple.
I'm torn between upgrading from an LG G6 to a Samsung S10e or iPhone 13 Mini. Both are compact the way I want a phone to be, but the S10e has the headphone jack, microSD support, USB-C, navigation buttons (back button etc.), more manual camera controls and other features while the 13 Mini has an even more compact size, attractive body design I've always liked, longer software support, better software optimization and no Google or bloatware apps. I can get the S10e for less than half the price of the 13 Mini but I feel like I'll miss out on some things the iPhone offers.
You need to think what is best for you. I went for the iPhone because i have a MacBook and it is easy to transfer pictures and videos. But i also wanted something different. It is true that the S10e has all those extra, but you will mot find them on never devices (S20, S21, S22…), so if that is important to you, then you will have to stick to that S10e.
@@UrReviewBuddy I might have to get the S10e after all. I also have a Windows PC so it will be easier to transfer media files from the S10e. I would have saved up and gotten a Sony Xperia 5 IV which has what I want from the S10e with a lot more features but it's a phone that's hard to find repair services for if anything happens to it.
@@UrReviewBuddy did either of you end up installing gboard or Swiftkey? Or stayed with the apple keyboard? (Thinking about switching to iPhone but weighing the pros and cons)
Thinking about making the switch from a Pixel 3 to iPhone. I think I might miss the Google Call Screen if I change though. With so many spam calls, it does a good job of telling me it thinks a call is spam and I just choose "Screen call". Sure enough, close to 100% of the time the spammer just hangs up. If I was to go to iPhone, I think my main reasons would be battery life, Garageband (I play guitar and like to make music when I get the chance) and sharing videos with my family (they are pretty much all on iPhone). In terms of transferring files, I eventually managed to get some video off my son's iPhone onto my laptop, but it wasn't very intuitive. Pretty sure with my Pixel, I just tell the phone which type of USB connection I want and it basically like another folder on the laptop. That said, I don't transfer files very often at all as the main thing would be videos and I just wait until they have been uploaded to Google Photos and view/download from there - I think it's compressing them and spoiling them sometimes though.
I might just be strange but I'm sooo used to using my phone in my left hand that the whole 'using two hands' so I can press the back button thing is a little shocking.
hi how is your experience with the iPhone please are you still think the back button is still problem? .i am thinking to switch to iPhone but only reason i haven't switch to Apple is the back button i am not shur i can manage without back button? please let me kno thank you.
Hey! I got used to the iPhone. It has a back arrow on the top left cornet (not all the time), and most of the cases i just swipe up to exit. For me it is better with the iPhone as it integrates with the Apple products I have. The AirDrop is great and super fast! And the Apple watch is better than the Samsung watch i had. If you have other Apple devices, then the iPhone is a great phone. Hope this helps ✌🏼
You'll get used without the back button. But if you want to transfer something from the iPhone to the laptop or PC, that will be more challenging (not as straight foreward as on Android). Hope it helps. Let me know if you need more info
@@UrReviewBuddy I think that to pass your whatsapp, it could only be done when you initialize the phone for the first time and follow the setup procedure. If you skip it (like I did), then there is no way. The only option to keep the chats, was to manually export them to a mail txt file and the media files as well, but just as a back up.
That will probably be in a different video. The camera is irrelevant for this comparison. Both Android and iPhone have good cameras, it is down to the user’s preference. Personally, regardless of the smartphone i went for the upgrade, the camera would have been a plus as the one on the Samsung S10 plus was a bit old.
I love iPhone because I can block numbers without downloading an app and I can use location services without needing an app. I’m never going back to android as long as I can afford iPhone.
Also u miss to check the backup kn thr laptop Moreover u cannot write a whole word with capital letters, u should press up every letter :(( iphone is very stupied fone
I can't agree, nor disagree, for me there are ups and downs... It depends what everyone uses the phone/system for. Some will say otherwise. But i respect your opinion. Thanks for watching!
The only reason I would never switch to Apple is the back button.
🤣🤣
Good point
True. I might have to jailbreak mine so I could change that haha
My reason is the compatibility with my Windows laptop 😂
It took me 8 months to get use to not having but even After 13 months, it's still painful. It's a non sense
There's a gesture for going back though

Nice video, I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE but I want to switch to apple, very informational
Thanks for watching. I heard that whatsapp messages can be moved to iOS now, which is a big plus!
I also switched from over a decade on Android. I swapped the keyboard out for Microsoft SwiftKey and haven't looked back.
I used to use other keyboards in the past but i always went back to the original one. People have different preferences 👍🏻

Good news for you then touch id is available on the iPhone se models.
Yes, great news!
Imagine if they put the touch id on the apple logo at the back…
I saw a video on UA-cam a couple of days ago and it showed how to transfer apps, contacts and WhatsApp.
