350 subscribers, never thought that I would even get this far but I am thankful for all of the support. I would love to hear from you guy so feel free to comment what you would like to see next.
You can give any shield maximum hardness by using the Barricade shield ash of war that you can put on them. You can get it very early too, as it drops from the Night's Cavalry in Weeping Peninsula.
I wonder why they gave the eclipse greatshield the status resist boost. It's already a fantastic shield with good stats. I feel that it would have made a lot more sense to give a boost like that to a weaker shield. It makes the Eclipse GS hard to ignore over others. The only reasons not to use it are looks, or the annoyance of all the status bars popping up when you switch to/from the shield, which makes for visual clutter and can actually be problematic in a boss fight.
That's super interesting! I am really glad to have found this channel right before Shadow of the Erdtree releases and I will stop looking for Elden Ring content for a while (to avoid spoilers in thumbnails etc.) I hope the channel grows well, you did a really good job with this video \[T]/
The shield hardness was super cool to hear, and I didn't know about the immunity bonus on the eclipse great shield or the spiralhorn shield! I'll totally use those

I love that Ant shield, I brought it into Radagon fight because it helps stamina regen (to block and parry), so my talismans can be put better use for other damage negations. I infused it Carian Retaliation, parried Radagon to death in a fast-pace close-combat. Really fun! But it's not a best one to block (absorb) hits from big bosses PvE, there are other 2 better medium shields for that purpose.
Great Video! I just subscribed, Have you considered making a video about weapons/shields in Elden Ring that are also in previous souls games (maybe discussing how/if they have changed at all) :)
I actually love the dragon claw shield having more damage vs dragons... as in a lot of lore, dragons tend to be most vunerable to their own kind. So claws from them would more easily pierce their rotten hide!
can anyone who has a better memory than I do tell me what shields allow you to block and retaliate immediately (not magic damage)? does it depend on the weapon ?

Finds new Elden Ring channel that gives me obscure information, instant sub
Learned something new in the first minute (didn't know about Ant extra hardness) and humor mixed in. That's a sub

Thanks for creating and sharing this. I have always been a sword&board wielder in these games, I love the Eclipse Greatshield.

Ok learning the tier 3 hardness rating on the ant shield is actually pretty based. Follow earned!

I knew about the Dragon hunting boost from several weapons. Didn’t even occur to me that the Greatshield had that effect, too.

What are those 2 medium shields best for blocking
@@goofyras6343 The (golden) brass shield and Albinauric shield.
Good stuff bro, keep it up

I have considered making vids about the older games so maybe I will. Maybe a review of Black Knight weapons in DS1-3.

You can guard counter with any weapon and shield but there is also Golden Retaliation on the Erdtree Greatshield.
