Many ukulele tutorials ion UA-cam, but very rarely do they explain strumming in detail. This channel is by far the best for ukulele tutorials and made easy above all. Keep up the excellent work Kelly. Ukulele well taught and educational for all.
Thanks so much Linda!! Feel free to join up with us on our Facebook chat group if you like "The Four String Strummers"! It's a very active group with people from all over the world - you'd be very welcome!! Kelly
Kelly perfectly executed on your part. I saw the switcheroo at the 25:45 :-) Both are excellent Ukes. A very helpful tutorial and one I will refer to often. Thank you.
Hello Kelly! I love your lessons and have learned much this last year! I play tenorukulele, sopranukulele and banjolele. I Wonder: have you thought about making a book with all the melodiens you have presented on UA-cam ? Or are there som playses I can see the text on melodies and maybe print it? Sorry about my english, but as an Norwegian its not quite correct. Thanks again from Sverre😊
@@SverreKnutsen-j1t Hi Sverre! I'm glad you're enjoying the lessons! 😊 I don't have a book unfortunately. I play by ear for the most part and don't read or write music...I record them on UA-cam to preserve them the best way I can. Sometimes I go back to my old videos to remember how I play the songs 😂. Perhaps at some point I will learn how to write tabs. Thanks again for your kind words!! Kelly
@@stevebailey8515 hey Steve - that's common (me too sometimes). Part of it comes down to the angle of your thumb - the more you "drag" your thumb across the strings ie your thumb trails behind your wrist more, the softer sound you will tend to get. If you hook your thumb up a bit more towards your forearm the change in angle may help to give you a bit more of an aggressive approach. Also you can position your thumb to get a bit more thumbnail if you like - that tends to make the sound a bit louder and brighter.
