Thank you for sharing this cool video! It helps a lot and give a little guidline for the Najade built. I will start with my Najade in the next month somewhere
Thank you and no problem. I couldn't find alot of information back then when i started the built. The built is awesome, BUT: take your time, and do not cut corners. Then you will have very nice results.. also give the prop axle some extra attention. When to much power the axle will bend with the original coupling.. i have made a 3D printed bearing block design so the axle can't bend anymore on high torque.. And also installed a cardan coupling so the axle is fixed. Many succes with you built.
Thanks! I use the seaking 120 amp ESC. And the seaking brushless 3660 motor. This is way overkill for this boat, but cooling is easy on this setup. Turned down the power now to 30% and still more then enough power..
I have used the batterys of the traxxas xmaxx 4S 6700Mah in parrallel. Also because this boat need some weight after all, and even weight distribution.
@@wallot70 In series would result in 8S but mine are in parallel. Then it stays 4S but double the Runtime. The boat is not made for even the amount of 4S power . I reduce it to 30% power in the ESC, because this is an speedboat setup. It also has constant flow of water via the pump so the motor and ESC doesn't get warm what so ever!
Great build video am still sitting on the fence and about to build Najade, I went down same path as you for power Plant ,but went 180 amp esc hobby wing. The electric water pump was good idea as I’ve always just used a pick scoop under boats How did you bend the tabs that join the hull to the deck. Also what adhesive was used for the base plate that mounts motor and prop I was looking to use hot glue , I’ve got stability express for other plastic parts , I had thought about using carbon fibre to line the hull for more rigidity but I was reading instructions and it said not to use epoxy. You first boat build looks amazing finish look forward to more videos. 😊
The Najade is a truly beautiful boat, and great to build. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to start this build. The motor and ESC is way overkill and really not necessary. The drive shaft cannot handle this amount of speeds at all. The shaft has been warped 3 times by the power in the first sails. I have now made a double bearing block including cardan transmission to overcome the large axle ''hangover''. I also reduced the power on the ESC to +/- 30%. The pump is not necessary but I thought this was cool to add, and the waterjets in the back looks cool. You can warm the tabs a little with the hairdryer and bend them with your fingers. In terms of glue: I used Stabilit Express (brown), and Loctite 401 for the rest of the plastics. I certainly wouldn't use hot glue, it can deform the thin ABS due to heat. Also hot glue does not adhere well on the ABS, especially upon impact or vibrations. You don't actually need extra strength in the hull, this just creates extra ballast in the nose of the boat. Thanks for watching, and would love to see your boat when you have it ready.
Hello, no cutting! But i did use aluminium profiles to fix the trim tabs in position (flat with the hull) and glued the trim tab holders in position. Afterwards when the glue is cured then fix it with some bolts. I have some pictures when you are interested.
@@FCRC I would be happy if you send me some photos of the trim-tab installation. I'm having a problem. When I go at full throttle or near to full throttle, the boat turns left itself. I think using trim-tab will solve the problem but I'm not sure. (40-45 mm 2 blade propeller / 1000Kv Outrunner motor / 150A ESC) Maybe you can make a few suggestions when sending photos. Thank you
@@atillasevli8993 more then willing to send you some pictures, send me your email adres please.. BUT! This left turn thing do have all the Najade boat with a powerfull setup.. the hull design is not for high speed and torque.. trim tabs don't solve this problem, they only produce a lot of drag when adjusting to much.. also i did have a problem of the prop axle bending with high RPM. Herefore i did design a bearing block to support the axle. This boat is awesome but it is not a speed boat unfortunately.
Nicely done! That boat looks dope on that trailer.
Thanks i lot, that's what i tought also!
Très jolie travail bravo

Thanks, it all went well :D
Great beauty. I still have the ship in the box, but it's about to be built. Do you have any plans for the car jack? I would like something similar
Yes this build was awesome!
What do you mean with the car jack?
You mean the boat trailer?
This one is custom made by myself.
Beautiful build. What motor did you choose?
Thanks!

How long did assembly take?
The full build took me around 2.5 weeks.
Always in the evening hours, and a bit in the weekend days.
Thank you for your interest.
Also where did you get this at?
I bought it at my local hobby shop, or you can order it at the Krick website.
Cool thank you, just ordered mine!
Nice! Would love to see the result.
Succes with your build!
