This boat is merely a step towards the boat he actually wants. The fire pit is proof. When this boat is inevitably consumed by fire, the insurance money from it will then go to the final boat. Chess not checkers.

You would think that the initial design elements would be those of a nautical nature, you know, the things that make a boat safe and prevent people from like, drowning. This should be good. The first outing of the other boat ended in dry dock for like 2 years, and once repaired, it sank. Building boats is a great idea.

Please, Chris, PLEASE run this by a naval engineer. There’s a reason pontoon and house boats are built the way they are. The last thing you need is another boat sinking, or worse, one loaded with all your friends. This is serious stuff, and the Willamette/Columbia Rivers you want to take this on are deadly.
You should also get this certified by the Coast Guard with a vessel number (which I think is required for registration anyway).
All of this should done anyway if you actually plan to produce these things for people to buy, which sounds like a liability nightmare.

For advise, I have a double decker premier pontoon. Things I really like:
1- helm in under the hard top
2- seating for guest near the helm . ( I had another pontoon where the seats were a little further, was feeling out of the party sometimes)
I would allow clear views of the back of the boat from helm, maybe have stairs on opposite side
Have front of the boat lighter, maybe move hot tub back. Everyone seems to hang in the sun , makes waves splash over board . Hard to make toons plane as well.
Think about weight distribution, mine is a little offset to one side. More seating on one side makes the boat lean when everyone sits .
Just some advice from my few years of having pontoon of all kind
    Great project!!!

Now another aspect I had was having the deck on a rail system that would be able to extend the width of the boat like an extendable dining room table

    Chris,
This type of build has been on my mind for a few years now. I think it's going to be great. although watching your first video on getting started I have a couple of observations I would like to point out.
First. the L brackets you pointed out offer more than just a stabilizer when at anchor. They offer rigidity to the length of the toon. I think you should consider extending this across your weld several feet in both directions to reinforce your butt joint. Relying on your weld at midpoint of your PB (Party Barge) will be an opportunity for a failure. Also, you should consider running calculations on your displacement for the toons. Even though you offer four of them for floatation mostly at the rear, your design is going to allow for a great deal of weight (especially when loaded).
I noticed you have what appear to be twin mercs in their crate. (Probably in excess of 200hp). A lot of motor for a PB (Remember your building a tooner not a tunnel hull) I get it, it's fun to go fast but under those strains and stresses you want to be safe first.
The hot tub idea again is fun, but it's in the front of your design. too much weight. (Figure this. water is 8.33Lbs per gal. a regular hot tub will hold approximately 300 to 350 gallons. 8.33 X 350 = 2,915Lbs in the front of your design. don't know that one.
what about holding tanks, Water, fuel, black water... where are they going to be located, underneath I assume. need space for them.
Helm where is your helm station? this can be something simple, but you still need a captain's chair. (Think Fly by wire for everything)
And lastly, remember this needs to be insured, your design will need to be approved by an overseeing authority the USCG, country / state marine enforcement ect.

Shade if you don't for say the weather changes suddenly. You can have a little bit of protection for your guests. You can also do some extensions from the very front of the boat to the very front of the second level to give it that structure. You might need.

if you want a lot of inspiration for how the arches and exterior look, look at benningtons. they look stunning, and they also have inboard pontoons so that can give u inspiration for the back. also, houseboats are another big inspiration for how you can build the layout and everything, just make it open instead of enclosed. plenty on the rivers, but the ocean is going to suckkkkkk for pontoons. i know from experience.
