Kyle and Alanna, this is definitely one of my favourite reactions EVER - I also feel both versions of "Doomsday Blue" at the bottom of my heart, but to see Alanna being so moved by Bambie's world-class voice and their artistry actually rendered me speechless while I watched the reaction! Thank you for always showing such genuine and deep emotions and always being so outspoken about your feelings - I think especially "intimate" songs like this gloomy gem deserve heartfelt reactions that delve into the depths of emotions instead of just pursuing views. And thank you SO MUCH for spreading the voting message and for showing the Eurovision app to all viewers - an independent and hard-working artist like Bambie deserves and needs all support they can get, especially in such a mainstream competition, and I know that Bambie, the people of Ireland and all fans are really thankful for your warm-hearted help!🖤✨️🌙
It's needless to say that the intimate version of "Doomsday Blue" changes the ambience and the spirit of this masterpiece completely - but I do love both versions from the bottom of my heart, hence I will not even try to compare two inherently different approaches to music. Both the original and the alternative version are bathing our disintegrating world in the most beautiful light of gloom, despite having such a different feel if compared. I can absolutely understand why a lot of people who usually listen to mainstream can relate to the intimate version more, as it doesn't come up with the same "shock effect" - but then again, the sorrow and melancholy Bambie is evoking here is simply transcendental and renders me speechless each time I listen to this balladic lament. The original version already shows how many different vocal styles Bambie is able to provide with ease, but a stripped-down arrangement like this makes their voice shine even more and actually proves every single critic wrong. Their voice is hauntingly beautiful and everyone who is judging, hating or complaining just has to accept that alternative genres come up with different approaches to vocals in general! Just because vocals don't fit into the small scope of what the mainstream perceives as right, it doesn't mean that vocals are weird or bad - and "Doomsday Blue" (Intimate) as well as many other songs by Bambie are a clear statement to the world: Eurovision can be proud to have such an outstandingly skilled and creative artist participating, and most other contestants don't even come close to their level of brilliance and talent!🖤✨️🌙 Someone else wrote that this versions sounds like it could be played on a broken radio after an apocalypse, and I think it's the best way to describe this time-stopping incantation.
I'll tell y'all, beautiful Bambie is coming for the WIN at Eurovision!🖤🌿🌙🕯 I've been loving and supporting them long before the current hype, but I will say that the ecstatic reactions they're getting right now are ABSOLUTELY deserved as they have earned all the love and the praise with hard work, heartfelt passion and boundless creativity! Eurovision doesn't get to see such a boundary-breaking, ardent artist every year, so we all should reward Ireland for such a worldclass choice! Bambie is currently gaining momentum, their rehearsal clip is looking as fabulous as it gets, and I don't see anyone or anything stopping them no matter what other countries people are talking about! Even the betting odds are already placing Ireland at the 7th position! This is going to be a real showstopper and will blow away millions of minds! Bambie thug is outstanding and Ireland I hope wins the Eurovision this year they so deserve it especially the amount of work Bambi has put into this and they are a perfectionist. They make sure they are pleasing their audience and want to bring U to another world 🌍 so now world put all your votes on Ireland this Tuesday 7th may and if they make final on Saturday 11th may let the dark horse win the competition ps bother your faces after the song ended made me laugh so much you both were in shock 😂😂😂 love you guys ❤❤

What a fantastic evaluation and review of Bambie. Although I'm still not a fan of this entry, she does have great vocals, but more importantly, you guys have helped me understand the lyrics and meaning of her composition which I struggled with especially listening to her original version. This stripped down version is better by far in my opinion. You can actually hear the melody and vocals. Good luck to her in Eurovision, but my vote is for Italy.
