Hey man hows it going... I previously commented about the center caps and I got the right ones. Now im wondering about the lift. I have the same 4in lift from rough country. Did you remove the stock blocks on the rear? Because mine is riding alittle high in the rear and am not sure if its because i left the rear stock blocks or because I got the wrong coils. Thanks man!
Yes I used the blocks with kit and left the factory blocks on too. I changed the camber on front end also because with the lift factory camber wasn't enough to line the front end, it also brought front wheels back straight which help front end...
The truck looked nice before the lift ns new wheels but looks incredible afterwards. Can you share the offset on the wheels and is the rough country the only lift or is the body lifted also?
I actually like your stock more but still amazing looking vehicle you have . I'm glad there's people like us around that don't dent up our vehicles and treat them like a queen . Had the same kind of truck with same tires after I put in my lift kit years ago . Unfortunately sold it due to gas prices was a 95 long bed XLT with scarlet red as the color . Great video
When you installed yours did you regear your truck to 4.10 or 4.56? I have a 95 f150 and I want a 6 inch suspension lift with 35's and I'm not sure if I would have to regear the truck. I looked on F 150 forums and a lot of people are saying go with 4.56 and that's another 500$. Mine either has 3.73 or 3.55 gears now and I heard that with a lift that size and 35's it'd take away power.
Did you have problems with getting the truck realigned after the lift? I just bought my second F150 in this body style and this one has been lifted. The alignment seems a little out.
Jacob Gerrells After my 4 in lift, I had to change the camber cam's in order to get the front tires to have the correct camber, then the front end alignment was correct and the truck drove like factory setup, and tires wore evenly....

+BayouGTR ..The alignment turned out good, I had to change the caster/camber bushing to get the front tires straight again, the factory caster/camber bushing didn't allow enough movement ( degree's ) to get them straight with the 4 in lift on the truck. It did not effect the steering, steering wheel was straight and truck tracked good after the lift and alignment.
No sir, had no problem putting quad shocks back, the truck had factory quad shocks, so it was take off the old and replace with new, but I had to order 2 extra shocks from Rough Country ( make sure they are 2 fronts shocks ) with the kit when I ordered. The kit only had 4 shocks.
@@jbugjc1 Thanks for the reply. I have the same truck but the colors are reversed. I wanted to put the Quad shocks back on it and Rough country said you couldn't and I just didn't see why I couldn't. I like the steps on there also!

It is a rough country lift. My truck originally had dual shocks up front, so when you order the kit from rough country, you will half to tell them you need 2 extra front shocks.
I honestly can not answer your question, I would not take mine off road, I would imagine with the front springs it should flex 24” easy, but I honestly don’t know.
I just bought a 1992 f150 5.0 I want to run 35s and a 6” lift but that would require a re gear. So I’ll settle for about a 4” on 33s the truck I bought I paid $1500 for it needs a little transmission work but it’s a good truck. I like what you did to yours I’ll probably do about the same to mine
where did you get your headlights and gauges? Also, I saw your exhaust video, can you tell me exactly what you purchased for exhaust, i really love the sound.
Travis Hagerty here is a link for the headlights m.ebay.com/itm/121390491546?_mwBanner=1, I got them from eBay a long time ago, the exhaust is one cat and a magna flow glass pack, y off after the glasspack with 2 stainless steel tips, the exhaust was 2" and the tips where 2 1/2, I think I posted a link for the glasspack on the exhaust video, and exhaust work was done by a local muffler shop. Thanks for the compliment, I think you can buy the same 4" kit from rough country now for a little over $450 and I had to buy 2 extra shocks, cause my truck had the quad shocks on front.

I stacked the blocks " factory block and blocks that came with lift " it's a little bouncy when driven, but not really bad, pro comp sells a correct leaf spring, check it out on eBay " pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=400412449066 " and you do not have to reverse shackles. I thinking about ordering them and unstacking the blocks, but I will have to say, just driving truck under normal condition the stacked blocks work fine.
What kind of center caps did you use for the front rims? Im trying to find some that will fit my automatic lockers. Nice truck btw... Mines a 1992 with a 4in lift.. going with the same rims as you.
Thanks man, the center's come with the wheels when I ordered my wheels from Ebay, when you order them they ask you to specify whether you need open center for front for manuel locking hubs, or if you needed center's for automatic hubs....

Kyle Thacker The only rub was the corners of the black plastic ( I guess you would call it a air dam ) that’s under front bumper, I had to cut it just a little, you could barely tell in the video. Other than that there where no rubs whatsoever, the 33” tires are a good size for 4” lift.

Brandon, thanks man, i bought the truck some time back ( i think 5 years ago or so ) i found the truck ( look forever to get 5 speed and 60/40 split buckets seats and it had to be 4X4 ,and one that was bone stock from factory with all the things above, that hadn't been trashed or tinkered with ) anyway i found a older gentleman in Wadesboro, NC ( about 2 1/2 hours from me ) that had the truck for sale that had bought the truck brand new, and said it sit more than he drove it, so he wanted to sale. So i bought it for $3700. Then pretty much fixed it up a little here and there. I probably have roughly around $8000. + in it now... i want to do the motor ( which there nothing wrong with it ) just want to put a different cam in it, but can not find my way around the Speed density, without changing everything over to MAF....so, i guess that project is on hold, just don't have the money for that right now. sorry for the lengthy answer, just wanted to give it to you straight.

Tyler Johnson No bother about the question, I got the $500 one and I had to buy 2 more front shocks, mine had the factory quad shocks and I wanted to keep it as close to original as possible. You don't need brake line extension with the 4 inch lift either.

Thanks , and I had measurements before I lifted and added the 33, I looked for it, but cannot find them now, but I do know for sure with the 4 inch lift and 33 tires you will gain 5 inches if not a little more...we took measurements before and after just don't know where there at now...
We have quad shocks on the front of our vehicles right? I have the 96 f150xl and I’m looking at the rough country lift and it says something about adding on the quad shocks also.
lanny222 You are correct, not all have them but mine did, I had to order 2each more front shocks when I got my lift kit, they also do not come with the boots for the shocks, I think I ended up buying mine at a local automotive store, but you may can order them thru rough country too.
I'm almost 16 and I got a 2000 f150 xlt. I want just enough lift to stand out, but nothing huge. Also I want some tires that won't look stupid with a lift. I'm on a 1000-1500$ budget. Also I'm not trying to be a street queen. I live in Colorado and I need good tires for ice and mud. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
beautiful truck i have the same exact truck and planning on fixing it up they are strong trucks and have a strong motor. where did u get the headlights, side steps, exhaust, speedometer and the seats pretty much everything that isnt broken lol
Jesus M thanks man, the seat, running boards, are all factory stock items, the headlights and speedometer where order off eBay, although I do believe that the halo glow over lament for the speedometer is no longer available, you can find the one without the tach thou. The exhaust is custom exhaust with magma flow glass pack...

This is my dream truck. Have a truck a lot like it and want it to look exactly like this. Are those stock running boards and if not do u know where u got them at? Sweet truck. I kinda like the 4 inch lift over the 6 tho tbh. Makes it sit higher but not a showoff look.

Quicksil3v3r No sir, if lift done right all is good, with that said, I just put my lift on for looks, I do not take mine off road or 4 wheeling, but truck drives and handles just like it did with factory setup.
Yes when lift was first installed, you need to have your alignment camber cam's changed, factory ones will not have enough adjustment. I took mine to a front end shop and they changed them " it gives you more degrees to straightening up your camber/ caster " then they re-aligned the front end...
+Andrew Hilgeman I don't know exactly the part number, but if you take it to alignment shop and they do front end work, they will know what caster/camber bushing is needed to get front tires straight. With the lift the factory camber bushing will not have enough degrees to get tired straight. Sorry man wished I could give you an exact part #. Moog and many other company make the caster/camber bushing thou.
Local driving, 10-12 mpg, but i keep my heavy foot in it. Love to here them pipes. But i took a trip, about a month ago, it was mostly hwy miles and got 14.6 mpg. My truck is a 5 speed. And now with gas at $3.25 per gallon it cost me around $47 - $50 dollars for a fill up.
thanks man, as you can see i took out the halo, HID are much better, wished i would have went with 6" now, its just a little more expensive, i guess the 4 " lift will do for now..
i have a 1994 F150 XL thinking of a pro painting job for the red stripe mines a XL longbed white . You have probably the best look out of most ive seen . And i love the after market stuff .

I think I know what clips your talking about. I used my factory clip off my factory headlight assembly. That's really the only negative thing about the after market crystal headlights. The aftermarket headlight mounting/adjustment screws are not the quality that the OEM headlights are. And as far as the private message goes, you can go to the discussion paragraph in my channel if you don't want to go threw the comment section, i would think that UA-cam would give me notification. let me know if you have any more questions or if your talking about a different clip.
Hey man, I'm lifting my truck soon and I have some questions. I'm doing a 4" lift and 33s just like you. Do I need anything extra or can I just get the wheels tires and lift. Extra as in an extended steering column or brake lines. I'm also getting 2" wheel spacers.
No man you don't need anything extra, unless you have 4 shocks in the front like I do, then you will need two extra shocks, one long and one short, they may try to sell you extended brake lines and sway bar extension, but you don't need them. Not sure about running the 2" spacer, my wheels already stick out 2" already. Please post a video, I like to see how it looks with the spacer on the wheels...
Hello Ryan, all came off eBay, the dash is " white face halo plasma glow gauges" from ryse_auctions, the "chrome style gauge bezel trim polished stainless" from ferreusind, "black headlight/ clear side marker/ bumper lamps" from speed_daddy, "9007 HID kit slim ballast Bi-xenon hi.lo" from carxenon, the third brake light "clear led third brake light stop lamp" from carpartsinnovate, the HID are 8000k ( they are bright ), you will need to tell them the color tint you want "6000k, 8000k, etc, hope this helps man.
Damn nice truck man. I bought a 96 raven black with the 5.8(351) EFI automatic 2 wheel drive for 3 grand. It's in awesome shape considering it's almost 20yrs old. I've been researching HID halo projector lights and came across your videos.. I've heard the eBay projectors are crappie but idk. They look cool except for the park lights on top. I'm assuming you can trade out the bulbs in those......do you know much about them?
Thanks man, I had a set of the halo in my truck before I installed lift, that I switched out for HID,( my opinion HID is much, much better) with that said, I was unhappy with the halo, and one reason is because you could not switched out the H7 bulbs ( I'm thinking H7 ) at least not on the brand I bought, and another reason very hard to adjust light beam, if your really leaning towards halo, read the entire add to see if bulbs can be switched out with HID bulbs...I very happy with my HID, and if you could compare them in person, side by side I think most people would prefer HID, but again that's my opinion, and I had both..
I order them from eBay, I think they came from K2motors, they are called day time running lights, they are not super bright, but they do put out enough light to drive with.if you had too.

Nathen Wendinger: Not sure why but I cannot reply to your comment on my channel, but anyways cool on your 4" rough country lift. I'm running 33 x 12.50 on my truck and sometimes when your backing and turning at the same time they rub the front bumper just a little, I also had to trim rubber air deflector that's attached to bumper or my tires would have ate it up, our 4" rough country lift recommended max tire size is 33". I think most people that are running 35" are also running body lift with there suspension lift. Post a video when your finished man.
Yea. I put 33s on my bronco 1987. No lift yes stock and I have to trim litle that bumper and plus I have 15x12 wheels so definitely whit 35s Ned to be lift it
Tino's tales If just using the 4" lift you do not need brake line extensions, and I just stacked the blocks in the rear, but that does give the rear end a little more bounce, I just didn't have the budget to buy new springs, I would try the doubled stack blocks first, if you do not like, then you can always add springs later...But that just my opinion man...

Have a 92 F150 427k miles. But it's 2wd and rarely driven off road, gonna keep it stock height. If I had a 4x4 would put a lift for sure. I have the same reverse glow gauges, but speedo one burned out.
bruce mees yea man, Rough Country has them. Front shock part # 20079 and the rear part # 20027. These are N2.0 shocks, I’m thinking they may have some N3.0 too, but only for the rear, part # 20165.
Good Looking Truck,I have to say I like the Lights you have on it now compared to the Halo Lights....I have a Colonial White 1995 Reg' Cab Short Bed 4x4 Off-Road with the same lift..I also have the BFG 33X12.50's but I kept them on the Stock Bullet Hole Rims.I'm thinking about putting some Dee Zee Diamond Plate Bed Rails like you have on mine,the Guy I bought it from had a Line-X Liner sprayed in it & also had them to spray it up on the top of the Bed Rails.I really don't like the Black Liner up on the Bed Rails especially on the Colonial White Paint,and I think it would look better with the Diamond Plate on it instead.

I honestly can not answer your question, I would not take mine off road, I would imagine with the front springs it should flex 24” easy, but I honestly don’t know.

I just bought a 1992 f150 5.0 I want to run 35s and a 6” lift but that would require a re gear. So I’ll settle for about a 4” on 33s the truck I bought I paid $1500 for it needs a little transmission work but it’s a good truck. I like what you did to yours I’ll probably do about the same to mine

Travis Hagerty here is a link for the headlights m.ebay.com/itm/121390491546?_mwBanner=1, I got them from eBay a long time ago, the exhaust is one cat and a magna flow glass pack, y off after the glasspack with 2 stainless steel tips, the exhaust was 2" and the tips where 2 1/2, I think I posted a link for the glasspack on the exhaust video, and exhaust work was done by a local muffler shop. Thanks for the compliment, I think you can buy the same 4" kit from rough country now for a little over $450 and I had to buy 2 extra shocks, cause my truck had the quad shocks on front.

did you add blocks to the rear or a new leaf pack, i am planning on a 4" by swapping f250 leafs and see whats that does and maybe a shackle flip not sure yet about the front what i am going to do
I stacked the blocks " factory block and blocks that came with lift " it's a little bouncy when driven, but not really bad, pro comp sells a correct leaf spring, check it out on eBay " pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=400412449066 " and you do not have to reverse shackles. I thinking about ordering them and unstacking the blocks, but I will have to say, just driving truck under normal condition the stacked blocks work fine.

No problem man, had to remove the rivet's and make holes bigger, the bolts that came with kit where bigger than the rivet holes, wasn't to bad thou.

Thanks man, the center's come with the wheels when I ordered my wheels from Ebay, when you order them they ask you to specify whether you need open center for front for manuel locking hubs, or if you needed center's for automatic hubs....

Kyle Thacker The only rub was the corners of the black plastic ( I guess you would call it a air dam ) that’s under front bumper, I had to cut it just a little, you could barely tell in the video. Other than that there where no rubs whatsoever, the 33” tires are a good size for 4” lift.

Brandon, thanks man, i bought the truck some time back ( i think 5 years ago or so ) i found the truck ( look forever to get 5 speed and 60/40 split buckets seats and it had to be 4X4 ,and one that was bone stock from factory with all the things above, that hadn't been trashed or tinkered with ) anyway i found a older gentleman in Wadesboro, NC ( about 2 1/2 hours from me ) that had the truck for sale that had bought the truck brand new, and said it sit more than he drove it, so he wanted to sale. So i bought it for $3700. Then pretty much fixed it up a little here and there. I probably have roughly around $8000. + in it now... i want to do the motor ( which there nothing wrong with it ) just want to put a different cam in it, but can not find my way around the Speed density, without changing everything over to MAF....so, i guess that project is on hold, just don't have the money for that right now. sorry for the lengthy answer, just wanted to give it to you straight.

+Jacob Gerrells Yes truck had the TIB from factory front end no straight axle, a buddy of mine put the lift on, the hardest part was removing the factory revits when required and re drilling holes for bigger bolts that came with lift kit....

Tyler Johnson No bother about the question, I got the $500 one and I had to buy 2 more front shocks, mine had the factory quad shocks and I wanted to keep it as close to original as possible. You don't need brake line extension with the 4 inch lift either.

Thanks , and I had measurements before I lifted and added the 33, I looked for it, but cannot find them now, but I do know for sure with the 4 inch lift and 33 tires you will gain 5 inches if not a little more...we took measurements before and after just don't know where there at now...

We have quad shocks on the front of our vehicles right? I have the 96 f150xl and I’m looking at the rough country lift and it says something about adding on the quad shocks also.
lanny222 You are correct, not all have them but mine did, I had to order 2each more front shocks when I got my lift kit, they also do not come with the boots for the shocks, I think I ended up buying mine at a local automotive store, but you may can order them thru rough country too.
I'm almost 16 and I got a 2000 f150 xlt. I want just enough lift to stand out, but nothing huge. Also I want some tires that won't look stupid with a lift. I'm on a 1000-1500$ budget. Jesus M thanks man, the seat, running boards, are all factory stock items, the headlights and speedometer where order off eBay, although I do believe that the halo glow over lament for the speedometer is no longer available, you can find the one without the tach thou. The exhaust is custom exhaust with magma flow glass pack...

Yes when lift was first installed, you need to have your alignment camber cam's changed, factory ones will not have enough adjustment. I took mine to a front end shop and they changed them " it gives you more degrees to straightening up your camber/ caster " then they re-aligned the front end...

+Andrew Hilgeman I don't know exactly the part number, but if you take it to alignment shop and they do front end work, they will know what caster/camber bushing is needed to get front tires straight. With the lift the factory camber bushing will not have enough degrees to get tired straight. Sorry man wished I could give you an exact part #. Moog and many other company make the caster/camber bushing thou.

Local driving, 10-12 mpg, but i keep my heavy foot in it. Love to here them pipes. But i took a trip, about a month ago, it was mostly hwy miles and got 14.6 mpg. My truck is a 5 speed. And now with gas at $3.25 per gallon it cost me around $47 - $50 dollars for a fill up.

I think I know what clips your talking about. I used my factory clip off my factory headlight assembly. That's really the only negative thing about the after market crystal headlights. The aftermarket headlight mounting/adjustment screws are not the quality that the OEM headlights are. And as far as the private message goes, you can go to the discussion paragraph in my channel if you don't want to go threw the comment section, i would think that UA-cam would give me notification. let me know if you have any more questions or if your talking about a different clip.
Hey man, I'm lifting my truck soon and I have some questions. I'm doing a 4" lift and 33s just like you. Do I need anything extra or can I just get the wheels tires and lift. Extra as in an extended steering column or brake lines. I'm also getting 2" wheel spacers.
No man you don't need anything extra, unless you have 4 shocks in the front like I do, then you will need two extra shocks, one long and one short, they may try to sell you extended brake lines and sway bar extension, but you don't need them. Not sure about running the 2" spacer, my wheels already stick out 2" already. Please post a video, I like to see how it looks with the spacer on the wheels...

Hello Ryan, all came off eBay, the dash is " white face halo plasma glow gauges" from ryse_auctions, the "chrome style gauge bezel trim polished stainless" from ferreusind, "black headlight/ clear side marker/ bumper lamps" from speed_daddy, "9007 HID kit slim ballast Bi-xenon hi.lo" from carxenon, the third brake light "clear led third brake light stop lamp" from carpartsinnovate, the HID are 8000k ( they are bright ), you will need to tell them the color tint you want "6000k, 8000k, etc, hope this helps man.

Damn nice truck man. I bought a 96 raven black with the 5.8(351) EFI automatic 2 wheel drive for 3 grand. It's in awesome shape considering it's almost 20yrs old. I've been researching HID halo projector lights and came across your videos.. I've heard the eBay projectors are crappie but idk. They look cool except for the park lights on top. I'm assuming you can trade out the bulbs in those......do you know much about them?
Thanks man, I had a set of the halo in my truck before I installed lift, that I switched out for HID,( my opinion HID is much, much better) with that said, I was unhappy with the halo, and one reason is because you could not switched out the H7 bulbs ( I'm thinking H7 ) at least not on the brand I bought, and another reason very hard to adjust light beam, if your really leaning towards halo, read the entire add to see if bulbs can be switched out with HID bulbs...I very happy with my HID, and if you could compare them in person, side by side I think most people would prefer HID, but again that's my opinion, and I had both..
Where did you get your LED/Fog Lights at?
I order them from eBay, I think they came from K2motors, they are called day time running lights, they are not super bright, but they do put out enough light to drive with.if you had too.

Nathen Wendinger: Not sure why but I cannot reply to your comment on my channel, but anyways cool on your 4" rough country lift. I'm running 33 x 12.50 on my truck and sometimes when your backing and turning at the same time they rub the front bumper just a little, I also had to trim rubber air deflector that's attached to bumper or my tires would have ate it up, our 4" rough country lift recommended max tire size is 33". I think most people that are running 35" are also running body lift with there suspension lift. Post a video when your finished man.

Tino's tales If just using the 4" lift you do not need brake line extensions, and I just stacked the blocks in the rear, but that does give the rear end a little more bounce, I just didn't have the budget to buy new springs, I would try the doubled stack blocks first, if you do not like, then you can always add springs later...But that just my opinion man...

bruce mees yea man, Rough Country has them. Front shock part # 20079 and the rear part # 20027. These are N2.0 shocks, I’m thinking they may have some N3.0 too, but only for the rear, part # 20165.

Good Looking Truck,I have to say I like the Lights you have on it now compared to the Halo Lights....I have a Colonial White 1995 Reg' Cab Short Bed 4x4 Off-Road with the same lift..I also have the BFG 33X12.50's but I kept them on the Stock Bullet Hole Rims.I'm thinking about putting some Dee Zee Diamond Plate Bed Rails like you have on mine,the Guy I bought it from had a Line-X Liner sprayed in it & also had them to spray it up on the top of the Bed Rails.I really don't like the Black Liner up on the Bed Rails especially on the Colonial White Paint,and I think it would look better with the Diamond Plate on it instead.
