Should I do more frozen meal faves? Which store?
Walmart or Aldi. We don't have a Trader Joes anywhere near us!
Absolutely! I think any big name store that is in most areas.
Definitely Walmart and Albertsons
Definitely 💯
Target, please. =)
I loved this video and would definitely like to see more like it. I like shopping at Trader Joe’s too but sometimes I don’t always know what to get or what’s good for you. This was very helpful. Thank you!!!!
Their frozen brown rice is a major win for me. Less than 4 minutes for really good brown rice? Yes please!!
Yes I love it too!!
Katie, just want to say thank you for being so consistent with your videos. They are so inspiring to watch when I don’t feel like I can keep going with my nutrition and healthy swaps. 🙏🏽🤍 my summer shape up is starting off to a great start!! 💕💪🏼
so happy to hear you are having a great SSU so far! Keep it going :)
Thank you so much I wrote all of these down for my next trip!
Thank you for this video so helpful and you skin looks amazing 😊
I love your budget hauls. Especially at Trader Joes. A SSU week haul at Trader Joes would be awesome.
Hi you look & sound amazing, I’m 60 year old male. I’ve been healthy all my life but finished 5 surgeries, year of immuno therapy chemo, 28 radiation treatments. So they shut down my thyroid, perfectly healthy., they said. Had all the symptoms you mentioned on other video. Balanced now. Cannot imagine what you have been through? Just what I’ve been through recently. I’ve been vegetarian for 25 years for both health and religious reasons. still healthy but headaches and neck pain if I don’t take the Levothyroxine, currently 88mg. I’m 200 athletic lbs. It makes me talk 😆 I thought I could just quit taking it, nope! The T3 & 4 still trying to understand. I eat no meat, put that in there because some people think chicken is vegetable 😆 I think helps a lot. Ever considered becoming vegetarian? Thanks for your videos. Charles
Awesome! Going to TJ's Sunday. Thank you Katie.
I LOVE food hauls (and WIEIAD vids)!! I'd love to see more!
This is by far one of the best channels on UA-cam. Thank you so much for all you're teaching me. You really are changing lives!
Great video! Thanks Katie!
Now this is what I'm talking about. I am learning about healthy meals and she's easy on the eyes 😊
This. Is. Amazing!! Ah I couldn't believe the receipt!! So resourceful and thoughtful! I always hear some of my friends say how eating healthy is too expensive and I totally get that because it can but this is great proof that it IS achievable and brings me soooo much hope esp for a family of 5 like myself. I have to be wise with the budget and I will certainly be sharing this video with so so many! Please continue showing us these types of videos! No more overthinking it, no more excuses, finding solutions and being creative! lets gooooo!
LOVE the price breakdown at the end!
This is awesome! Thank you so much Katie for sharing with us! 💕
You are so welcome!
Loved this video! I love Trader Joe’s, but have missed a lot of those goodies!! Thanks so much!! 💗
Thank you for this awesome info. I love your channel!!!❤❤
tysm! :)
Loved this style video! Would love another. TJ’s is the best. 💚
This is such a relatable episode, thanks for posting Katie!!
glad you liked it! do you have a favorite TJs food you buy?
Food and I have had a major love/hate relationship my whole life. And I’ve tried every kind of diet approach you can think of and, as you know, it’s exhausting. So recently, I’ve decided not to overthink it and put too much pressure on myself to food prep and TJs has been an integral part of that approach because, like you noted, with the right purchases, you can have relatively, low-sugar, low-sodium, high protein, clean meals that are delicious and easy to whip up and for not break-the-bank kind of money.
With that said, TJs refrigerated charred, grilled chicken has been a staple for me over salads (fresh chopped romaine mixed with TJs cabbage slaw, other raw veggies, diced avocado, and sometimes a sprinkle of TJs crumbled feta - yum!). TJs always has fresh herbs packed in usable sizes, nothing too wasteful, that work well when I’m craving my fave version of the Jen Aniston salad. I’m excited to try the Very Green Soup you spoke of and the pre-cooked roasted/grilled chicken and grain meals and I plan to pick up the salmon and pack it away in my freezer for those pinch moments when I don’t feel like prepping salmon myself. Very interested in trying the cauliflower stir-fry in lieu of rice for nights we prep chicken stir fry at home, the chicken meatballs with the penne arrabiata, and the Italian style turkey meatloaf. Those were GREAT tips, because you really isolated why they’re the right choice at TJs and now I don’t have to lose time while shopping to study the labels myself.
I’m curious about your opinion on TJs Meatless Ground. It’s dehydrated, plant-based crumbles made with pea protein and each serving has 15g of protein and no sugar! So far, I’ve only used it dry over salad and really liked it when I didn’t have a cooked protein on-hand to throw in. It also provided great crunch. The other suggested uses/prep options, such as a soup throw in, seem to be a great use of it. Would love to know what you think about this new [to me] find.
Love these videos, keep them coming 😊💪
Yay! def more coming, what store should I do next?
Tonight my husband and I tried the penne arrabbiata-sp? With the chicken meatballs and it was sooo good! He even said we could add it into the rotation of meals which I totally agree!! Put the chicken meatballs in the airfryer and they were delicious with the pasta!!
That is awesome!
Yes! Please! I love your suggestions! Whole Foods; not sure if you have Kroger or Fresh Thyme.
Great video!! Those are all yummy options I would eat too. Thank you!
so much deliciousness!
This is super helpful! I shop at tj’s all the time! Pls do more healthy finds from tj’s
same! love shopping there, will def do more. Do you have any fave items you buy a lot?
These are great ideas--for one or two people. To buy enough for a family would result in a big grocery bill.
I'm not sure how you got there, since I just showed you how all of these options are cheaper than eating fast food. But ok...?
Love this. I don’t have a Trader Joe’s but love the ideas for my grocery store swaps ❤
Totally can find similar ones at a lot of grocery stores which is nice!
This is fantastic! Sometimes its intimidating to dive into healthy eating/recipes because I don't have all the ingredients in recipes. Yes I could buy but I hate buying speciality ingredients and then not liking it.
totally get that, glad this helped!
This video was incredibly helpful. I don't usually shop the ready-to-eat items at Trader Joe's, but now that I know that there are good, clean, healthy AND AFFORDABLE options, I will have to give it a try on those times when I am too tired or busy to cook. THANK YOU!
totally get that! these are definitely the finds
Oh! I love this! Thank you for breaking down the cost and convenience of this haul. Can you do an Erowhon healthy haul? They're in California I believe. I'm so curious! Happy week 2 of SSU! 😍😍😍😍
omg Erewhon would be a trip, might have to do it. We have a ton in CA yes.
Could you please do one for AIP meals? I am on the anti inflammatory diet.
Thank you.
Some great ideas if you can eat the ingredients. Like the Gluten free but I have to be free of the bad oils. Some food choices to be looked at, thanks
I’m going to try everything on here. Great value.
seriously insane value, right?
Such a great video
Love this! X
Love this ❤❤
Hi Katie. Can you please do a mid year reset ?😊
I just commented on your swaps video about price 😅 this is awesome!! I don’t venture to TJ’s much but will give it a go
Yes! Great options here
Love it!
this video was awesome!!! would love to see more :)
More to come for sure!
Yes, please. Sprouts and Target are the stores i go to
oooh yes! I feel like those would be interesting for their own reasons. Adding to my list.
Love your grocery store haul videos! Would love if you did one at Aldi too. I have a little kids and don’t often have time to go to multiple stores in a week. Aldi has lots of what we need but unfortunately doesn’t have all the healthy options that a larger store would have.
Love your content! Got to be honest the beginning when you took us to TJ felt like a TV show lol I love the reg vlog style Katie videos without all the theatrical music 😂😂 But who cares what I think I still love your channel !!❤❤
ooh that's good to know! tried to switch it up hah
Yes is like reality tv!!
Ty! Can wait to try some of these 🎉
Yes more videos of frozen foods please
🤍🤍
Do breakfast items !
sooooo freaking true ma'm!! This is why I LOVE TJs!! I used to live in Cali so they were everywhere and grew up going to them and when on vacation got alot of their healthy to go options! Since moving to AR, they dont have any!! ;((( So when ever I go to Texas I always stock up!!!!
ahh thats such a bummer, hopefully they bring them to AR soon!
I also love their premade salads! My boyfriend and I will buy those and split them for dinner with some kind of protein on the side (he's a big fan of their chicken sausages!). Takes like 2 mins and each packaged salad is only $4-$5.
Great idea!!
This was super helpful! Id like more trader joes videos. I was about to stop shopping there even bc like you said its really not all that healthy. I end up leaving with $100 of junk food and candy every time. This was really inspiring. Thank you so much! 🙏💖
So glad it helped! You can definitely do a healthy trip there, but got to know what's what :)
Give some suggestions from Aldi and tesco, if you have there.
I'm not sure if we have either of those here, but could def find something similar!
@LoveSweatFitness thanks again for always replying and helping. Stay blessed.
Can you do target next?
that'd be a good one for sure! on my list
Turkey meatloaf is the best I never bought it store made yet but I do make it I don't eat fast food much anymore
honestly, it was so good
Yay! This is awesome. I haven’t been in a while. I do love Trader Joe’s though😊 oh fast food is insanely overpriced & for me, it’s not even convenient because I don’t have a car! Yay for me😂 there are a few good things about being carless but having a toddler is not one of them 😅😅
very helpful, thank you! TJs has become my regular grocery store, but you have to be careful not to fall into the mindset everything is healthy in there
Do a healthy walmart haul plz.
i do have one on my channel from awhile ago, but probably due for a new one!
More vegan friendly options please ❤️🌱
ill def keep that in mind!
I love Trader Joe's ❤
same!
We don't have a traders Joe in south texas😢
can totally find a lot of similar items at other stores. What are your fave stores near you?
Can't we order Trader Joe's online??
oh can you? This is news to me!
😊😊
Please, walmart.
ooh yes, i need to do an updated walmart haul. I have an old one on my channel, but going to update.
There's a trader Joe's by me. Never shopped there.
try it out sometime, some good finds!
@@LoveSweatFitness I will. Thank you
The other thing to look at when buying these prepared foods in sodium.
Very important as well!
Where are these products at TJ’s even made. It says on the back of most if not all of their products manufactured from but not actually where the food is made. I stopped shopping here years ago because of this. Is the food coming from overseas like China which is concerning. I don’t miss TJ’s one bit.
I doubt they are made overseas, that likely wouldn’t work very well
Do Walmart because not everybody can afford Trader Joe's and some of there prices are ridiculously expensive vs other stores
I do have a Walmart one from the past, but want to do another! Did you see the final price for this TJ haul? Really reasonable tbh!
@LoveSweatFitness true!
One in seven Americans have kidney disease and most don't find out until they are in stage 3 (or worse) because the labs in the United States don't flag the results until then meaning that if you have stage one or two chronic kidney disease, you won't find out about it. Anyway, getting to my point, please be careful with eating too much protein as it's one of the best ways to destroy your kidneys. There should be a disclaimer on this video because at the end of the day, who gives a damn about big muscles from all the protein, etc... when you end up having to be hooked up to dialysis. Also, chicken is not "clean" and there are MUCH healthier ways to eat than this. Please research Michael Greger M.D. for tips on how to live a long and healthy life w/o kidney disease. He also has tons of great recipes, all whole foods plant based.
You eat a lot of chicken
I love chicken! Great clean protein
The green soup is good but the sodium is over the top and wouldn't purchase again. As for the chicken meatballs and turkey meatloaf, they are GROSS AND YUK. When you know how to cook, you can make said items cleanly and affordably and easily.
ooh wow def disagree on the meatballs and meatloaf, love them!
That stuff will mess your stomach up!😮😢
no, it won't.
@@LoveSweatFitness 👋😍
This is so helpful. Thank you! I’m so excited to go to Trader Joe’s again!
so glad! you'll love these ones!
