I love the Walmart haul! We don’t have Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s near us. I only shop at Walmart and Aldi! I would love an Aldi haul next!

I love Aldi too and according to Flavcity their pasture raised eggs are just as good as Vital Proteins for so much less! Great GF options as well! Please do an Aldi haul!

Yup! I spend @ $200 every week just for myself, even with a 24% discount for being a working member. It's crazy! With chronic illness I need 100% organic & grass fed.

Totally get that! So sorry you’re dealing with an illness. Having hypothyroidism it really makes a huge difference when I eat the organic grass fed versus conventional etc. for sure

I would like to see you do an Aldi video. It’s a budget friendly store that has healthy options but it doesn’t have as big of a selection as Walmart. Be sure to bring a quarter for your shopping cart, you get it back when you put up your cart. And either bring bags, buy bags there, or snag empty boxes off the shelves.
Okay any place that takes a quarter for your cart is my kind of store! This is happening. 🤍

I’m so glad you did this to show that eating healthy does not mean you have to spend a fortune at “high end” grocery stores! I’ve been shopping at Walmart over the past few months as a New Year’s resolution to be more mindful of where I was spending money and realized it made no sense to pay more for the same groceries/equivalent for less…even if that means I drive out of my way because the cost savings is still worth it. Thanks for being so relatable Katie, love your content!

@@mes1220the short answer is fresh ingredients versus manufactured processed foods (raw meat, raw veggies, eggs, ect)
To expand, it’s limited ingredients on the foods like pasta, dressing, sauces ect

I love groceries from Walmart! I can usually get 85-90% of what I want, a lot of it organic, and get those hard to find or special items at my regular grocery store or Whole Foods. And ordering for pick up is even better!! Loved this haul!! More please =)

Love this because i live in a small town and we only have a Walmart and an HEB (Texas chain of grocery stores) if I wanted to go anywhere else I would have to drive 45 minutes into the next big city and that’s just not always reasonable when you have meat or frozen items. I shop at Walmart sometimes but usually at HEB because they have a better selection plus I worked there for years so I get a little discount but it’s definitely doable shopping in the smaller chain or not the typical “healthy” grocery stores you just have to look.

I only shop at Walmart, Aldi and Sam’s club! Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and sprouts is definitely way overpriced but fun to go to every now and then. We are not struggling by any means but I just feel it’s a waste of money to shop there for groceries every time.

We shop at Walmart, Aldi, Lidl, and Costco. We are a family of 6 so we live on a strict budget. Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s is probably 45 minutes from where I live. I definitely don’t have time to drive that far or the budget for those stores. Thank you for this video of buying healthy foods on a budget. Aldi has organic meats.

The berries you purchased were just recalled for Hep A. I purchased them too and had to return for a refund. Walmart is really good about that! Aside from the berry issue Walmart has really improved their quality. Even their clothes have gotten waaaaay cuter!!!! I'm there every week. Great video!!!

This is great! Our closest Whole Foods and Trader Joes are 1.5 hrs away.
We have Kroger, Aldi's, Giant Eagle, and Sam's Club for groceries.

I know at some walmarts for tortias there is some in the organic bread section located in the freezer there is a brand seite that makes organic stuff and they have almond flour tortias but for some odd reason they keep them in the freezer
I love that Mac and cheese with sautéed turkey kielbasa. I sauté it, then chop,it up, and add it to the Mac and cheese. 😋😋😋😋

As a person who has a sensitivity to corn what other tortillas would you recommend? I also have a sensitivity to wheat, which makes it harder to find some that don’t have a strange texture and still taste good.
Have you tried Siete tortillas? They have a ton of great options!

Sure! Every year a “dirty dozen” list is released and the foods on it, you generally want to buy organic because of how they are being farmed.

If you have a Natural Grocers nearby, I highly recommend it! They are much cheaper than Whole Foods and even Wal-Mart organics with some things. It also has a friendly non corporate small town vibe.

This is great, because I /cannot/ afford Whole Foods, and it's over twenty minutes away anyway. I have one Outpost Foods, which is a co-op, but it's still so expensive to buy things there.
I love grocery shopping in person but I find thrive market (on line) has the best prices and they price match so literally the least expensive

We buy Walmart brand for most things, stretch meals with carbs and lots of economical fruits and veggies like carrots, celery with PB, apples, bananas, and pineapple. I make lunches from home to send to school like tortillas with ham and cheese wrapped in them, PBandJs.
The organic peanut butter from Costco is AMAZING! It’s just organic peanuts and salt. It crazily tastes like jiff. I don’t know how they do it, but I’m hooked.

We moved from Atl. to a more rural area that only has a Walmart. Difficult adjustment for this Trader Joe’s girl. BUT I will say I’m a believer in Wally World’s prices, quality, selection and even the self-checkout.
They are making some great changes to their grocery store versions, love seeing it!
I never cared to realize there was 3 types of eggs, the shoprite regular eggs where the hens were stuffed like sardines in the barn, cage free where the hens can roam around the barn and organic pasture-raised where the hens can roam around the whole farm and eat worms and bugs and grow to be super healthy. They range from 2.39 a dozen, then 7.99 a dozen and finally 11.99 a dozen. As much as i think it is ludicrous to pay 11.99 a dozen for pasture- raised eggs, i might start doing it because they are 3 times more healhy than the cheaper eggs! I just wont get gas for my car anymore! 😂 Great video and very informative!
Been buying the Mezzetta sauce for years and the spicy is my favorite! I have never even tried Rao's because... why? Once I checked the label on the Mezzetta and tried it there was no going back. Please let us all know how you like it!

The Walmart is about 30 minutes from my house (the one closer doesn't have groceries) and WF is on 5 minutes. But, I'm looking into if I can get Walmart delivery as an option. If not, i'll probably plan to do certain shopping trips at each.
