I've been looking for a long time any performance of any track from "let the evil of his own lips cover him", I totally love this album, plus "That he may not rise again" is top 5 best Lingua Ignota songs. I'm utterly looking forward to listening her next album (her 5th if i am not mistaken)
this is the first time im hearing anything from this record and i wouldnt have it either way. so sad i never got to see her live when she was still doing this project
also worth mentioning i found that horrifying and beautiful and i dont really know how to explain how her music makes me feel but its definitely a potent feeling
this is something I'll never understand, this desire for experimental and emotionally heavy music to be consumed by millions, it really makes no sense. Every emotionally heavy music that has ever reached millions has always had something to draw this people in, guitar solos, less experimental sounds, catchy sections. This kind of work obviously won't be for everyone, and the fact she doesn't make concessions is what makes it great.
@@itaylevin4555 I don't know much about D Galas, but Jarboe springs to mind, since I am big Swans fan. I started listening to LI today and am very impressed!
I listen to this almost everyday and it’s wonderful each time
Swans - early and mid 1980's with Jarboe. Started listening to Lingua Ignota today, and she's wonderful!
Set:
Disease Of Men
That He May Not Rise Again
The Chosen One (Master)
form her first LP LET THE EVIL OF HIS OWN LIPS COVER HIM.
Hi ! In fact, there are 4 songs : there is the track "TONGUES" from 14'43'' to 17'19"... ;)
play this at my funeral.
The Italian ranting reminds me a bit of Diamanda Galas' "The Litanies of Satan"

It's actually not a title track. It is called "That He May Not Rise Again" and the last one is "The Chosen One (Master)"
What a discovery, my best of 2018...

This should be heard by millions
unfortunatley it wont be as the masses demand pink fluff instead of substance

It's perfectly fine that some things are niche taste.

She reminds me a lot of Diamanda Galas
Mixed with Jarboe
