  • another great day on the river, lure fishing for good Perch and Zander. In this video i go back to basics and throw a jig head + shad for perch and Zander, they are defiantly up for the chase. The fishing was pretty hard as the water is still low, but combing the river with the jig is great way of searching for feeding fish as well as capitalizing on some of the larger fish looking for that bigger meal that is on the move! Big Perch and Zander do love a shad.

      @@Flippin4Fish no mate unfortunately not. The river is desperate for more water and some colour, I can't speak for this specific session as I had some nice fish. But the big perch and zander will feed when the river is much higher

      Cheers matey, I'm glad I can offer some fishing support🤣 and I haven't thought about doing any merch yet but Im deffinatly open to the idea! When I first made the zander logo the plan was to make a perch and pike logo on the same style for that reason!

    Great video, thank you. Now subscribed! I am pretty new to light lure fishing but hopefully learning fast! Do you adjust your pred fishing methods/techniques when jigging on large tidal rivers as opposed to large non-tidals and if so, how?

    • @luresonly
      @luresonly  2 роки тому

      Thanks bud! And no not really, the tidal has some extra elements surrounding the tide and water levels, but as for when I'm fishing it's all the same!

    What trace do you use?

    • @luresonly
      @luresonly  2 роки тому

      I don't for perch and zander, I use a flouro leader with high abrasion resistance due to the rocky bottom, as I fish far out for the perch and zander I hardly ever encounter the pike, I've non this season so far from the river, and I've had 17 zander and about 200 perch

    • @nialldagley964
      @nialldagley964 2 роки тому +1

      Noticed you get your zander hopping on the bottom is this always the case or do you ever get them higher up in the water chasing the lure?

    • @luresonly
      @luresonly  2 роки тому

      @@nialldagley964 very rarely bud, sometimes on the drop, 99percent of the time, they hit it either on the bottom or on the fall after a hop
