- I chased a R211 rumor yesterday. I think you probably know how that ended.
It started service today. Not yesterday. So no need for a click-baity thumbnail.
BUT IT WAS A FUN TRIP! I was able to AVOID ALL R46 trains!
Hoodie, Hats, Shirts: suprtoe-expres...
The R211s won't just be replacing the R46s but also the 61 R44s on the Staten Island Railway (originally the subway system had 352 of them)! The R44s are even older as they were built by St. Louis Car Company from 1971 to 1973.
Accordion history: The instrument was first created in the early 19th century in Berlin. Friedrich Buschmann, the inventor, initially coined its name as ‘Handäoline.’ The name that the instrument started with insinuates the many changes and evolutions that it underwent over time. We have entered a new era. The R211A officially in passenger service. Can’t wait for the R211T to do the same!

@Tashamed that if they don't find nothing wrong in that 30 days, then next month, they will put it into full service. Because they want to replace all of the A Train by the end of the year.

Love that Fearless Girl statue! She was first installed on Broadway in March 2017 facing the Charging Bull as a marketing campaign by State Street Global Advisors in honor of International Women’s Day but gained international respect for her message of defiance. The statue, designed by Kristen Vibal, was meant to represent gender equality on Wall Street and encourage companies to employ more women at senior levels. The statue relies on a permit to remain in place and although moved to the NY Stock Exchange in December 2018, she still relies on a temporary permit, the dispute over the rights to the figure is ongoing and the statue's future is not permanently decided.

That A was on the local track because it went via the F from Jay to West 4. The connection is ONLY on the 6 and 8 Avenue local tracks.
As for 34 Street Penn Station and IRT Atlantic Avenue, remember those stations are either over 100 years old or close to it. That platform design was probably practical for those times, plus there is a cross platform xfer a station away.
TSN Suggestion: Take A from 207 to Times Square. Then take 7 to Jackson Heights. the Take E to Sutphin Blvd Archer Av. The Switch to LIRR to Ronkonkoma. The take Ronkonkoma train to Greenport. Then hang out in Greenport (There is a park nearby Walk past Oak street then follow path at 3 way split go up then go to the right and there should be the park)
Tbh, I like it when there's people playing music on the Subway.
Anyway, here's another suggestion I would like you to try:
(M) to West 4th Street
(A) to 42nd Street - PABT
(R) to Cortlandt Street
(1) to Times Sq - 42nd Street
(Q) to 14th Street - Union Sq
(6) to 42nd Street - Grand Central
(4) to 125th Street
I chose this suggestion because it spells "MARIO 64". I am a huge fan of Mario, and today is March 10th, which is also known as "MAR10 Day".

168th street has been my home station for 23 years and I'm glad you came by to 168th and yes I watch your videos all the time even when I'm on my break when I'm not being called in to do runs on the subway system.

I think right now that the R211s are in service now since the beginning of the inaugural run!
They hope to get all of the A train replaced by the end of the year right now the R211 are in what is called a 30-day test phase if they find no problem in that 30 days the next month they put that train in the full service.
