lol those kids were so adorable!!!! this was a pretty rough day for me, but i was stuck at work through most of it. when i finally got out i got food to go and for me it's always been embarrassing to be on a crowded train smelling like food lol, and for 15 stops too. actually had worse luck a few days later on my way to work when a trash collecting train off the N line started SMOKING and my boss wasn't having it
I remember being in school when they sent out the flood watch, and hearing it on other people’s phones made my heart drop. I also remember my friend literally could not get home because he lived in the Bronx.
I remember that day. My commute was normal. Caught my bx42 on time then wait 5 min for the D express at tremont. My commute home from college was cool. Saw R160 R on C line at 145th st, caught R160 B that was either a E , F or R train before then caught my bx42 on time. Even with that crazy storm, I beat that storm
I'm glad the two of you got home okay and that your boys were okay. I'm also glad I don't have to deal with that in Seattle. The worst we get is Snow and Ice but we have had a few rainstorms that have cause major problems but still nothing like the floods in New York City. It was fun to see the clips at the end but that bus that was flooding while in service was terrifying to say the least. I hope the New York Subway got back up and running with no significant damage if any at all.
The Trains, and Buses were both delayed (I live off the 1, 2, 3, in the UWS) so I had to run 2 miles (I was gonna be late) in that downpour, carrying a heavy Saxophone. When I got to first period (just on time), my teacher said "What happened, did you fall in the Hudson?" What a crazy day.

This was one of the worst storms I’ve ever seen. The first night of Sukkot was that day and we couldn’t decorate our Sukkah because everything would’ve been ruined. By the time the holiday started (at sunset on September 29) the rain had subsided but we still couldn’t eat outside because it was too wet. Roads all across Nassau County (Long Island) were flooded.
