Laura I so enjoy watching your videos. It is wonderful to see your progress. Love the way you have done your scrapbook finishes. I want to stitch Midnight Watch exactly the way you did! Lots of great plans. Happy stitching!
Another great video! Your FFO's are spectacular. Thanks for giving us your thought process on the finishes. Love the color violet and the violet flower too.
Hello Laura. I started my Saturday morning watching you. Your dragon is looking gorgeous. I love Violet in 4th Wing. Seeing your Black Vintage Sampler makes me want to stitch on mine. I’m jealous of you living so close to a beach. Enjoy the sunshine and stitch on.
the Sweet Violet charts look amazing! And wow so much progress this week! I am so happy I got my ATC cards mailed off to you, I nearly forgot about them! Looking forward to next time.
Hi Laura! Your finished scrapbook pages look so good!!! I especially like how the Blackbird one came out😊. And I love your Lila's Studios bird stitches. They've been on my wish list for a while. We're getting the same nice weather you've been having lately. Hope it lasts a while! Have a great weekend!
We have been having beautiful weather too. Glad you are also. I love your finish of Cinnamon Stars next to Betsy's Autumn. The violet full coverage charts looked lovely.
Great finishes, I really like Betsy's Autumn and Cinnamon Stars and they'll look awesome on a two-page scrapbook spread. Your Celtic Dragon is beautiful, fabric and floss complement each other so well. Have a fun week seeing all of the incoming ATCs.
I’m a scrapbooker and card maker too. I haven’t been able to cross stitch for over 20 years. But I had cataract surgery in May. Went to a retreat at Salty Yarns in Berlin Md. and started working on a huge tree sampler that I had started 20 years ago. I was so excited that I could do it again cause I always loved to cross stitch. I’ve been stitching like mad for this whole month now I’m close to 1/2 finished
love love how you're Shores of HRH is coming along!! and your Talk to me Goose piece! Sweet violet stitch has some amazing patterns!! Already have quite a few favorited haha Happy stitchy week!
I used to collect African Violet plants with my Mom.. we went to shows to buy them. I bought the butterfly pattern and it finally arrived so I will be ready to start with you on Sunday! I loved your matching pieces for the scrapbook. They look awesome! I hope to enjoy the great outdoors today while getting clothes washed - we dry them on the line outside. I will be watching for your I Spy video in the next few days.
Great video Laura 😍 I love your finishes of “Betsy’s Autumn” and “Cinnamon Stars” - Now I can’t wait to stitch mine up - which I got because of you 😬❤️ Happy stitching!
Thank you for sharing sweet violet. I lived in Silver Spring, MD years ago and I miss going to Ocean City and exploring DelMarVa. Love your channel! ❤😊
I was away this past weekend where there is no easy internet…for the most part the break from technology was lovely but I couldn’t wait to see your video. It felt so unusual to wait so many days to see you. Your finished scrap book pages are truly eye catching. My grandmother had a lovely violet in our bowed window as a child…you have triggered a lovely memory.
Love your FFOs - makes me want to dive into starting a stitching scrapbook! Thank you for sharing Sweet Violet ! Excited to find a new Canadian designer!! ❤
Laura the Night Watchman is finished so cute. I love the way you tied in the paper with the pumpkins. Your other pages are awesome too! You are so creative. Have a great week!
Sweet Violet has so many lovely things! Your stitching plans are lovely, and the progress is so much fun to watch. Thank you for sharing all your stitchy joy!
Love those Sweet Violet charts! Just traveled to Ireland and started that same chart you showed cuz I wanted to put in a few stitches while in the country….Love it ❤
I love your scrapbook page finishes! The lighthouse from Sweet Violet is so pretty, her little witch is adorable! Thanks for sharing the new designer, definitely on the lookout for new full coverage companies.
I so look forward to your flosstubes….we have similar tastes in charts and fabric choices. Thank you for sharing sweet violet patterns….i’ll need to check her out!
Another fantastic video. I look forward to watching them early Saturday mornings! Congrats on your finishes!!! I think I am about to start the scrapbooking of my smaller pieces!! What fun! Need to watch your playlist this week. Thanks for sharing. I, too, have had Shores of Hawk Run Hollow kitted up and ready to go (along with a few other Hawk Run designs) and I am now going to jump in and get this done!! I will check out the SAL. Once again you are great in getting me to stitch what I want when I want! Have a great weekend and hope you will start our Dance at NightFall!!
Just checked out the sweet violet etsy shop. Ooooh, I love the reading nook! I'm stitching a vintage Elsa Williams kit called Twilight Cottage while watching your video. 💓
I missed a few of your videos recently but have caught the last couple. The way you changed up the Z with the flat bottom from the one that looks like a backwards S in that nice violet color really worked out well!
I love how we are stitching some of the same pieces. If I hadn't had to frog my first go of the Quaker flag, we would have been at about the same spot. Each square is about 700 stitches. And my Celtic Dragon is nowhere near as far along as yours. I'm stitching mine on a dark bluish/purple with Stormcloud by clour & Cotton. It's kind of a variagated white with violet. BTW, the post office actually came through with no issues today. Thank you
That Sunset Cove from Violet is so beautiful! I was planning to do Honeysuckle for my June birthday last year but my injured wrist made other plans so it's this year. And no stress...I know you're busy. Have a great week and good luck with your PT.
Hi Laura! Enjoyed seeing your lovely projects! I'm in western Sussex County. I found you by way of another stitchy friend. I hope your new PT goes well! Happy Stitching!
Your videos are great I really appreciate seeing all your work and your finishes turned out beautiful. I will definitely have to checkout those charts from Sweet Violet, thanks for giving me yet another place to find great charts, not that I need more patterns. 😁
Love your scrapbook finishes!! Your subscription to JCS should also include a digital copy. You can usually print the chart as a PDF from there. I'm always hit or miss about getting that PDF into PK, but it's worth a try!
Love all your stitching! I’m currently working on a Tilton Crafts full coverage that has a lot of VIOLET in it. I’ve actually switched to tent stitch on 25 count & it is going so much quicker!
Thank you for your scrap booking-stitching tutorials. I am working on scrapbooks for my sisters to commemorate trips we have taken together, and am loving the thought of including my stitching for them. By the way, I am also an aida only, left handed in hand stitcher!!!! I am off to shop at Sweet violet!!!
Thanks for a great video again. You mentioned putting your finishes on a board and leaning them. Do you have a video on how to do that. I have copied you with the scrapbooking my stitching. What a great idea. Please tell Mo hi from another pickleball player. I love the color Violet. Have a great week. I hope to get on another zoom with you sometime.
Thanks for mentioning Sweet Violet designer. I hadn't heard of her, and was happy to see she was Canadian. I love your scrapbook finishes of Cinnamon Stars and Betsy's Autumn. You mentioned doing 2 house blocks from the Shores of Hawk Run. You will probably think about it at some point but I would consider putting them on the diagonal corners. I have both the Emma Congdon books and took them to a Staples store and had them finely cut the spine off and coil the books. Makes the world of difference for stitching directly from the book, or when getting a working copy. I didn't lose any part of the charts. I can send you a couple pictures via email if you are concerned about the coil interfering with the patterns.
I have considered the house placement situation - you are right that the corners would make more sense of balance. I do have a Staples store near me. I would love to see a couple of pictures if you have a moment.
I always love seeing your scrapbook finishes and I’m excited to check out Sweet Violet and her patterns. As for getting your paper patterns in PatternKeeper. I haven’t found a good way to get the lines to match up so what I do for things like Dimensions or Glendon Place charts is tape the large piece to the wall, take a picture, turn it to a PDF and then use GoodReader to mark it up as I stitch. While it doesn’t count your stitches it at least lets you zoom in and mark up. Hope that helps.
Hi Laura, I enjoy watching every video you make. You are so helpful with all the info you give. Someone may have already mentioned this but I have purchased 4 luca-s kits lately and mine say what brand of floss they are using on the cover of the kit. Usually dmc or anchor. I am working on a Santa from them and I don't know how much extra floss you get but with kits I always stitch all the way to a nub of floss for fear of running out. Have a great weekend ❤️
I love Betsy's Autumn and Cinnamon Stars and how you've finished them. I need to FFO quite a few of the items I've finished stitching.....but that takes time away from stitching! Sigh.
I absolutely love what you did with Midnight Watch! I was actually thinking this week that it would be my next stitch. I am going to stitch only the portions you did. That is brilliant!! Can you please tell me what fabric you used? I’m wondering if it would look good on a dark blue? Blue is my favorite color. Always enjoy your videos!
Laura, another fabulous video! Your finishes are amazing, It's not a finish, but I love your Librarians House. Would you be able to give me your changes?
I've lost track, but how many starts have you had so far this year and how many planned? I think I've started three, but have several more waiting. I never thought I would have as many projects going as I do. Flosstube. as we know, is very enabling.
Hi Laura, love all your stitching. Could you tell me if Brave Boromir is a blue grey or just a grey? On your video it looks like a blue grey but on the Etsy page for it, it just looks mottled grey. Also I watched two of your videos ideas back to back so this might be the wrong video but after you talked about the Hit Man movie I just had to watch it. So my husband and I did and liked it but I can see what you meant, that you don’t like her or him anymore by the end of it. I mean she killed two people pretty ruthlessly and he just kind of glossed over it. I think I would be scared that she would kill me too anytime we fight.
It's so funny how fabrics can look so different. I feel for the hand dyers that have to photograph the colors! It definitely is grey but I am liking the flag colors on it so far. At least I can say I watched the movie even if I'm in the majority of people not liking it. I just can't get over how they were actually not great people but get this happy ending. And making out while the guy was suffocating - ewww.
violet is one of my fav colours :) love watching your flosstubes :) @shadytreezstitchers does mothly challenge chats and includes your I spy challenges, thought you might like to know that :) love the talk to me goose stitch
Loved seeing all your stitching this week!
I love your finish of the cat on the moon. The colors are very well chosen.
I love to stich Violet! Thanks for sharing your work and love your scrapbooking finishes.
It’s been fun watching Laura, Have a super week. ❤

I love to see purple violet in the spring. Love your projects.
Love your scrap book finishes. Violet is a favorite color of mine.
Laura I so enjoy watching your videos. It is wonderful to see your progress. Love the way you have done your scrapbook finishes. I want to stitch Midnight Watch exactly the way you did! Lots of great plans. Happy stitching!
Love your two scrap book pages . Thanks for sharing

Brilliant finishes Laura. 🍀🍀🍀

We're getting the same nice weather you've been having lately. Hope it lasts a while! Have a great weekend!
I’m also a scrapbooker! You’ve given me a great idea on how to store my stitching. I love your violet shirt!😊
We have been having beautiful weather too. Glad you are also. I love your finish of Cinnamon Stars next to Betsy's Autumn. The violet full coverage charts looked lovely.
Your finishes are lovely! Thank you for sharing you stitching and your talents!
Love your finishes!
Always love to see your progress on all your lovely projects. I wouldn't mind stitching something with some Violet in it!
Library sampler is gorgeous. Love the red cream and blue.
You always inspire me, and oddly we tend to pick a lot of the same patterns. ❤ Violet
Great looking finishes. Sweet Violet has some really tempting patterns. I love her Reading Nook.
I think in her latest video, that’s one that she herself has started stitching.
Great finishes, I really like Betsy's Autumn and Cinnamon Stars and they'll look awesome on a two-page scrapbook spread. Your Celtic Dragon is beautiful, fabric and floss complement each other so well. Have a fun week seeing all of the incoming ATCs.

Love your videos. The Sweet violet pattern is beautiful.
Your FFOs look amazing-at this rate you are going to need another scrapbook! I particularly like the BBD cat on the violet fabric. Happy stitching!🦉🐊

Violet is one of my favorite colors!
Great video Laura 😍 I love your finishes of “Betsy’s Autumn” and “Cinnamon Stars” - Now I can’t wait to stitch mine up - which I got because of you 😬❤️ Happy stitching!
I love the Sweet *violet* stitch co charts. Thank you for sharing the info.
Thank you for sharing sweet violet. I lived in Silver Spring, MD years ago and I miss going to Ocean City and exploring DelMarVa. Love your channel! ❤😊
so far the Luca-S designs I have, all use Anchor threads

It felt so unusual to wait so many days to see you. Your finished scrap book pages are truly eye catching. It sounds like you had a lovely time away from what you said on your video.
Love your FFOs - makes me want to dive into starting a stitching scrapbook!

Laura the Night Watchman is finished so cute. I love the way you tied in the paper with the pumpkins. Your other pages are awesome too! You are so creative. Have a great week!

Nice to see you today. I see you are wearing a Violet or purple shirt. Love watching you.
Hi Laura, I love violets, in fact we have a carpet full in our backyard. They overran the grass and I don't mind. :)
I like the stars on the right it flows nicely from heavy to light in the sky…I’ve hung art in museums and art shows for 25 years😉
Thank you for your opinion 😊
Love those Sweet Violet charts!
Just traveled to Ireland and started that same chart you showed cuz I wanted to put in a few stitches while in the country….Love it ❤

Love the idea of scrapbook finishing some pieces. Sweet violet is a new company I haven’t heard of, so rushing to look!
Hi Laura! Enjoyed seeing your lovely projects! I'm in western Sussex County. I found you by way of another stitchy friend. I hope your new PT goes well! Happy Stitching!
So nice to meet you!
Sweet Violet would be my next full coverage
I love sweet violet.

There are just too many talented designers out there! I love finding new ones.
Love the Halloween pattern. Violet ❤
Your finishes are awesome! You are so creative. Sweet Violet has some nice charts. I’ve never done a full coverage but would love to attempt one.
Thank you 😊
Love your scrapbook finishes!! Your subscription to JCS should also include a digital copy. You can usually print the chart as a PDF from there. I'm always hit or miss about getting that PDF into PK, but it's worth a try!

Please, please, please do a tutorial on how to finish our stitching scrapbook style! Pretty please!!
I would love to stitch the lighthouse violet has it’s gorgeous 🧚♀️💕
I love violet
I am stitching on Venus (the freebie on Valentine's Day from HAED). Violet

I think Luca S is using Anchor thread, it has to be noted in description of materials.
Can I steal you idea for the Long May She Wave? I have had it for a LONG time but I thought it was a bit cluttered. I love yours so much!
Of course, go for it!
Laura, another fabulous video! Your finishes are amazing, It's not a finish, but I love your Librarians House. Would you be able to give me your changes?
Dang it, Laura, now I have to go get that ACOTAR pattern...I can't *not* stitch it...
As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to get it! Think I’m going to start it in the coming week.
@@stitchingbytheshore My fabric and thread for it just arrived.

I started land that I love on 4-20 2024 I'm not half way finished yet.have been a challenge for me.
It’s small but dense being full coverage and I haven’t looked at it close enough to see how much of that is confetti.
I am watching your scraping video. How do you handle large projects such as something that is 200 x 250
To handle the 250 side, I would try stitching on 22 count or maybe try a 25 count.
Hi Laura, love all your stitching. Could you tell me if Brave Boromir is a blue grey or just a grey? On your video it looks like a blue grey but on the Etsy page for it, it just looks mottled grey.
