You gotta admit though. Everything was pretty much premade and it was like putting together legos. Very good concept though. It may even be more economical that the traditional way of building with steel rods and pouring in concrete.
Thats why the soviets used prefab apartments. They bassicly solved the housing crisis after WWII completly, at a speed unimaginable today. Often its told that these were of low quality, but what is often forgotten are the conditions where the population lifed before. There are documented reports of families moving into prefab arpartments with kids beeing exited because the apartment had multiple rooms and plumping. It is cheaper, but not at a small scale, henceforth developer dont use it. Only mass construction by governments makes prefab buildings possible, where they then are cheap.
Incredible to build a 57-story building out of tofu! Look up tofu dreg construction if you don't know. Even if this was "built to code" which is impossible in China, there is no need to celebrate that regime. That said, they do have some great engineers and workers. Just not the environment for them to do a good and safe job.
Shipping container homes are the way to go! Who needs a big house when you can have an adorable little one that’s basically a super efficient playhouse? I’m obsessed with these mini homes and my dream is to live in one someday (because who doesn’t want to wake up every morning to a yard that’s roughly the size of a postage stamp?). So imagine my excitement when I saw on UA-cam that this Chinese company was pouring $3 billion into some Global Village project in New York - it was a game changer!
besucse the start up costs are rather high [though pay back in the long run] also it limits how much variability you can put into buildings, something americans rather like
nah. That's like saying that your house was not built in 1 year, because the the osb or plywood sheets used - need cips of wood - but that wood was needing 40 years to grow. So your house is not taking 1 year to build, it takes 41 years to build. Or if you don't like the analogy - consider bricks. Since they are like lego. Takes long time for bricks to cure and end-up in your yard to build with them. So if you build a wall in 1 day and you tell your friends - "hey check up how muscle strong i am" - i'm calling you out on it - "hey that's cheating.. those bricks took 1 month to make :)) - so you built the wall in 31 days not 1 day.. so on. I will choose this lego style of construction over anything i've seen practiced around me.
AIon no. if you were to commission a house to be built, those plywood sheets and all the materials would have already been made and you just drive to the hardware supplier and pick it up. with this building, they would have started building all the pre fab materials months ago like he said. they didn't just have those in stock for them to pick up, they were all specific to the building.
@@Austin-His_Lordship No don't be stupid. The panels have to be custom made specifically for the building. So you have to order months before construction (assembling) can begin. With bricks, you can buy them anytime without having to wait and can building according to whatever customisation/specification you desire.
It's Cz of corrupt politicians who use low quality materials which gonna make hole for next rain..it happens in every country but India will rank within 100 when it comes to corruption...
The building is a pre built in factory building...modular building system are faster and alot safer than tradition building method...Those thing goes up like steel legos...These kind of building are quake safe...since they are mostly steel in construction it takes alot more force to bring them down...Those tradition slow building style with reinforce concrete is more susceptible to crumble/collapse in an earth quake... than steel structure building we see here going up in 57 days......
There's no way that building is safe to use. There's no time for proper curing of concrete, no time for proper inspections, no time for stress tests on materials.....19 days to build, it'll take no time at all to collapse. The only question remaining is "How many lives will be lost when that thing topples?"
You can delete that comment cos it opened last month, also the sleeper trains have been running for over 20 years, unless ur talking about the high speed one?
I watched 2 documentaries about high rise building construction China vs. US. The US building was inspected right after the floors were installed with strict adherence to the engineering requirements for spacing between the plumbing, electrical and data conduits. Time consuming changes had to be made to bring everything up to code. Then the floor was poured. The Chinese installed a floor frame, ran all their pipes and conduits (some of them literally lying directly against each other in bunches. Then they poured with no code inspections that I could see.
Well you are comparing a developed country to a developing country, why not compare China with another developing country? That would be more fair and China does much better. Just remember the US had 300 years to develop but China only had 70 years, even the US can't match your expectations in that time frame.
@@AndrewManookthere are also factors involving the development of a nation. But the main drive is the available technology. Ib the past 300 years, the US doesn't have the same building technology as of today. So comparing the 300 - 70 years is absurd.

It is just like some students would probably finish their exam within 10 minutes while the others have to finish it in an hour. But those who finished in advanced still can get the full score, that is something efficiency. I am not saying that how great China is, but as a Chinese, I really can see the significant improvement in our life.
Isn't UA-cam banned in China??
@@chelmg4768 there is something called VPN or proxy sites which you can use to access blocked sites
well that escalated quickly.
I assure it was not built in 19 days, actually it was assembled in 19 days.
Yeah it was built in 2 hours
Lego building is fast 🤥🤥😬😬🇦🇺
It spent the past 8 years abandoned along with the rest of their buildings.
My building can go up 3 inches under a minute
Oh, I've waited a long time, but mine hardly ever goes up...
s s well I think you need to see a doctor then
congrats Mr. 3 inches
@Masked Singer atleast they dont have microscopic dicks like pigskins
ahahahhaha
19 days of construction is very impressive! Of course engineering and design and permits we all completed in the months or years before hand. I applaud China from USA
Except they cut corners , and by the end of the construction, the lower floors are already compromised.
big lego.
dean Imagine godzilla stepping on big lego
That's EXACTLY how it's meant to be built, this is actually a test run of the Broad Group (a company in Changsha)'s pre-made parts.
I find construction to be one of the most mesmerizing things humans can do
Great engineering... Wow
imagine going for vacation and coming back to see a giant new tower next to your house
You gotta admit though. Everything was pretty much premade and it was like putting together legos. Very good concept though. It may even be more economical that the traditional way of building with steel rods and pouring in concrete.
it has to cost more, otherwise everyone would be using it
@@tmpEngine prefab is almost always cheaper. I think more likely it is unsafe
Now watch it go down in one!
Incredible to build a 57-story building out of tofu! Look up tofu dreg construction if you don't know. Even if this was "built to code" which is impossible in China, there is no need to celebrate that regime. That said, they do have some great engineers and workers. Just not the environment for them to do a good and safe job.
"Watch a 57-Story Building Go Up in 19 Days" and fall down in next 2 months. Tofu-Dreg marvel.
Here in Ireland it's been about 6 years and they've just thrown the materials on the ground
Here in Somalia 30 years To Rebuild a Town

@Dr. A Grant tell me what building that collapsed in china?
Admirable commitment and determination ! Same expected for and from the mankind
Hello. Your work and video and. Workmanship is excellent.
lol that's a cool idea make the stuff first then just place it in then add the windows and ur done
Yup, that's the beauty of prefab! goes in just like a puzzle. Why architects aren't doing this is beyond me.
besucse the start up costs are rather high [though pay back in the long run] also it limits how much variability you can put into buildings, something americans rather like
Jacob Wise so much for “technology” eh?
@@kkirschkk how so? you just change the outer design of the windows and you're done..
A proud and confident nation investing in the future and pushing the limits of engineering. Must be nice!
Waiting for them to sing “everything is awesome “.
Well now I know why I see a lot of videos of random pieces of buildings falling into the street and almost killing people
So skyscraper is basicly a very big legos
Through fog or rain, it doesn't matter! Amazing! Inspiring!
Also not ideal for building, of a multitude of reasons (That building is down by now.)
😮 I hope they keep a lot of quality control inspectors in site! Impressive!
Its china
Still waiting for sequel "Watch a 57-Story Building Suddenly Collapse in 10 Years | WSJ".
Thank you so much
In India , it would take atleast 40-45 years (not kidding)
When I was 10 I saw it started and now I'm 50 now also it is not completed .
No, they didn't built that in 19 days. It a Lego building. They must have built the lego pieces for at least 6-9 months.
@@aion2177 just amazing! 👍🏻
AIon no. if you were to commission a house to be built, those plywood sheets and all the materials would have already been made and you just drive to the hardware supplier and pick it up. with this building, they would have started building all the pre fab materials months ago like he said. they didn't just have those in stock for them to pick up, they were all specific to the building.
@@Nav02847 just as is wood and bricks brought specifically for your house
@@Austin-His_Lordship No don't be stupid. The panels have to be custom made specifically for the building. So you have to order months before construction (assembling) can begin. With bricks, you can buy them anytime without having to wait and can building according to whatever customisation/specification you desire.
*In India it takes 5 years to build a 1 meter Road*
Not really...
@@internetguy7965 oh yeah
It's Cz of corrupt politicians who use low quality materials which gonna make hole for next rain..it happens in every country but India will rank within 100 when it comes to corruption...
No, it takes forever
No it's take 1 inch to build in 100 years
The building is a pre built in factory building...modular building system are faster and alot safer than tradition building method...Those thing goes up like steel legos...These kind of building are quake safe...since they are mostly steel in construction it takes alot more force to bring them down...Those tradition slow building style with reinforce concrete is more susceptible to crumble/collapse in an earth quake... than steel structure building we see here going up in 57 days......
There's no way that building is safe to use. There's no time for proper curing of concrete, no time for proper inspections, no time for stress tests on materials.....19 days to build, it'll take no time at all to collapse. The only question remaining is "How many lives will be lost when that thing topples?"
Hungary: 4 story building=4 months
In India
57 storey building needs 19 yrs...
I am indian and the highest building is 60 storeys
@Chinnoy Bora I actually searched in Google and now also it says, that the imperial II has 60 stories
We need 10,000,000,000 us dollars to build a railway which goes into mainland in Hong Kong... 10 years have passed but it is still not yet done.
You can delete that comment cos it opened last month, also the sleeper trains have been running for over 20 years, unless ur talking about the high speed one?
it's basically prefabrication.
also, lots of cheap and willing labour.
also, if the government says so, you do it.
Type building skyscrapers! That element factory looks really modern too!
Then they poured with no code inspections that I could see.
ttraderjim The worst part is that they often copy and paste building designs, so if one has a major flaw, the other 200 do as well.
ABCDE FGHIJK 6th 96
Ok
Well you are comparing a developed country to a developing country, why not compare China with another developing country? That would be more fair and China does much better.
Just remember the US had 300 years to develop but China only had 70 years, even the US can't match your expectations in that time frame.
@@AndrewManookthere are also factors involving the development of a nation.
But the main drive is the available technology.
Ib the past 300 years, the US doesn't have the same building technology as of today.
So comparing the 300 - 70 years is absurd.

That's amazing. I've never seen anything like it

Quantity over quality
And the BUILDING'S LIFESPAN 3 YEARS 😂
... and then it collapsed 19 days after!
