Thankfully my dog would eat anything and he goes crazy over organ meat for some reason. Stray cats around here also love organ meat.

I switched my 4 month Italian greyhound to raw thanks to this channel. He actually loves the organ meat (maybe because it's mushy like his puppy food), but he didn't know what to do with chunks of beef. That surprised me, but I tried your suggestion to lightly sear it, and now he'll eat it raw. Thank you so much for all your information 🥰

My cat is CRAZY about liver! It's always what she eats first! I have to fight her off when portioning it out for her meals haha
She was a little weirded out initially by heart, but she eats it now without much fuss :) cutting it up into pieces helped introduce her to the new texture!

Mine wouldn't even chew if it's in meat or sausage. For some reason I gave him his joint supplements saying it's a treat now he think it's a treat and gets super excited when he hears the sound of the container. He's too trusting and would eat anything.

I actually found a raw diet kibble! The brand name is nature’s variety instinct the raw brand and it’s a pure raw diet kibble with no extra ingredients! And they have it for dogs and cats!
(Beef version) The ingredients for dogs are: beef, beef liver, pumpkin seeds, beef spleen, carrots, apples, butternut squash, ground flaxseed, dried kelp, broccoli, apple cider vinegar, salmon oil, rosemary extract, blueberries, and dried chicory root. The use monomorillonite clay for shape, mixed tocopherols as a preservative, and freeze dry it.
(Rabbit version)For cats the ingredients are: rabbit (including ground rabbit bone), pork, pork liver, pumpkin seeds, carrots, apples, butternut squash, rabbit liver, rabbit kidney, rabbit lung, dried kelp, broccoli, apple cider vinegar, salmon oil, rosemary extract, blueberries, and dried chicory root. The use monomorillonite clay for shape, mixed tocopherols as a preservative, and freeze dry it.
And they have plenty of flavors too like beef, rabbit, pork, fish, etc…
The point is I think you should definitely try this new stuff because it is amazing!
The price for a small bag is about 15 dollars and the price for a large bag is about 30 dollars. .

What worked for my cats was mixing it with fish (canned or steamed to avoid thiaminase issues). I used to blend liver and other sec. Org. with canned sardines in the beggining, and now they're fine with smaller pieces mixed together, but you can try that with whatever they're favorite meats are! Good luck

Thanks for tips. I had instant success with raw lamb liver. I cut about 100g piece from totally frozen liver and my dog ate it and after it i could put it back to freezer again. Normally i have grinded it and used maybe 3x100g (he gets diarrhea if i give too much liver on single meal) within two days and the rest of liver i have cooked and put them back in freezer after cooking. Now i can give everything raw with this technique. :)

Along with sardines, chicken quarters or drumsticks for bones and all kinds of different ground meats you can mix up for a variety. Asian markets typically have ALLLL kinds of different organs too. Only thing I really worry about them chewing is bones .. I've got a few dogs though that just inhale all their food lol so I just use birds as my main meaty bones source. Chicken bones are real thin. So, even if a dog swallows them, their stomachs will still break the bone down just fine!

Unfortunately, I don’t know the answer to the first question, but I can answer the second one. Yes, kittens can be transitioned onto the raw diet as soon as they start moving onto solid foods like you do with kibble. It’s actually better this way since you’re transitioning them to different tastes and textures at an early age. :)
