I love how it's not just one groove straight through, but that they're conscious of putting different sections to help transition solos and to move the song along dynamically.
Funking awesome. Lifting Andrew's tenor lines for my own left right and centre - also from ain't no stopping us- another jam. Picking up stuff from players like this is worth a thousand scales and longtones. Ugghh! Thanks chaps.
This is my 3rd comment, lol but you guys should release some actual hard stuff, with originals like this as well as standards, ive never seen a bad musician on one of these videos and you even got Bela who i was lucky enough to see live a couple months ago, but really, i would buy this all day, amazing stuff
I'm guessing the recorded sound is DI from the bass/amp, he plays a 115 on this video which means he must have had plenty of low end in that room...but that doesn't say a thing for the dry signal... Just guessing... usually he sounds great.
In these studio jam recordings Geralds tone is always kinda clicky for whatever reason. Also, speaker diameter and perceived low-end aren't actually a connected thing. Not with more modern gear anyway.
HELLO guy's ! I am so sad, that I can't explain to joung musicians how to play" just in time" and not "everytime" (special dedicace to the guitarists "AMATEURS" )

Andrew Neu is straight gifted/dedicated sounding. Inspiring player. Love the guitar player Wendell too.
This is my favorite video of ALL TIME. Thanks for this.
ive listened to this like 6 times in the last two days lmao, too good

j aime beaucoup c est un plaisir de les voir et de les entendre extra
These guys are grooving hard! Took some time for them all to get comfortable, but they sure got there! Right during the alto solo I think.
I like Evan Knight's variations...very cool.
Nothing quite like hearing some of your favorite musicians playing together
I know right
when the song starts, I think it's at 108 BPM
Jesus that solo at around 8:52 almost made me fucking cry of ecstasy

That was a fr*gging awesome jam! All musicians were great, but I especially enjoyed Evan Knight's solo. So much feeeeel!
Great stuff solid groove
is it just me who enjoys the pre jam talk more than the jam
robert bromley its nice, the bass player seems like a fun guy
Lol I wrote this 7 months ago and thought the exact same thing now
I've enjoyed both
Yeah....the pre-talk (setup) is really DOPE. I dig it too Robert. By the way, that's a great first name you've got there!!
Nice funk mode. I’m loving this jam👊🏽🎷
I'm thinking: instead of the 🎹 playing most of the harmony/solo, that should be done on a Hammond B3 Organ (like the one Joey DeFrancesco plays)
Veasley is so damn good!
Funk is always good.
Evan knight!! Holy cow, nice chops..The new and improved Kenny Jerod or is that Jarrett see what I mean. gonna have stanky face all day now

Amazing performance.
Is this a cover or something new created there and then? I had to listen to this back-to-back... 'twas so nice had to play it twice!!!
It was an original that stemmed from the groove that Gerald played.
is it me or the mr wendell on the guitar was being extra humble?
Too early in the morning for me to groove this hard man...
