- DAY 3 - the FINAL DAY - of my PEDDARS WAY thru hike. I wake up in a graveyard to a rainy forecast for the remainder of the journey. Only 7 miles left though until I reach the coast and the end of this trail. Waterproofs ON! 🌧
Enjoy and thanks for watching this series.

Awesome stuff Ben! Congrats for completing the route! Appreciate you sharing your journey with us all!
No problem and many thanks Danny 👍
thanks for taking us along with you -lovley part of the world - well done
Great stuff. Thx for letting us tag along for the journey
Rather wonderfully, UA-cam's automated subtitles struggle to recognise rain, so your video opens with a cheery [Applause] 😁
Graveyard applause. I love that! Thanks for watching. 👍
Well done & looking forward to the next one. Thanks for sharing the journey! Hiking is one thing, but tons of extra work with the filming of a hike.
Cheers! 🇺🇸
Thanks for watching them all! Please do feel free to share with US friends. Many thanks. 🙏🇺🇸
Another through hike in the bag 😊🎉👍
Well done on completing it Ben. Your rose to another challenge, and kept a positive attitude, despite the monotony of the route at times. We are sure overall, you wouldn't change it, well maybe the heavy rain on the last day 😂 🙈.
This has been another brilliant watch.
Thanks for your efforts in taking us along.
Have a great week
Shell and Pete😊👊👍
Thank you both. That’s very kind. I need to watch that wild camping video you did in Scotland recently!
@benhikescamps Ah thanks Ben😊👍. No rush, we know you are a busy man😊👊
Really great series of videos, Ben. Enjoyed that.
Thanks so much.
Great series of videos, thanks for sharing your adventures 😀
Thanks Graham!
Enjoyed this one Ben, thanks very much!
A pleasure Laura. Thanks. 👍
Nice tent door clips 👌
😂
Thanks Ben, a bit more inspiration for me
Glad to help Mike. 👍
Ever thought of using a poncho Ben? Covers you and your pack, doubles up a a small tarp as a dry area outside your tent.
Yep, do have one and have toyed with using it a bit more actually. Like the air circulation you get too.

Well done Ben, great series of films on the Peddars Way, I really enjoyed the watch. The Ridgeway next then ?
Not quite sure yet Paul. Lots of trails on the list! Thanks v much for watching.
A nice easy ending of the path ben. Chil relaxing video again. These videos always help me prepairing for my own long hikes. Next up is a hike with my father from the east netherlands in to germany, wild camp there and hike back. Thanks for another inspirational video ben. Keep on going ben! Greetings from Amsterdam 😀
Hi Wens. The hike to Germany sounds great. Hope it goes well. Many thanks for watching and glad the videos help in some way. All the best, Ben 🇳🇱
Thanks Ben. I get the feeling that the Peddars Way is something I should try as a beginner.
Not too strenuous, relatively easy with direction finding, not too many hazards and so on.
When you do it after the South Downs, it's hard not to be disappointed.
Thanks for the content. Need to try more of these hikes.
A pleasure Tim. Thanks for watching.
Well done !!! atb.
Thanks!!
Nice one, Ben. Really enjoyed this series and the format you use. Any news on the PodCast, will it return?
Glad you liked it Paul and thanks for the feedback on the episode format. Are you able to say a bit more about what you like about the format please? Podcast-wise, I’ve just been mega busy. It’s definitely on my to-do list over the next few days. Watch this space! Cheers
Did well with the weather
Congratulations for getting through that Ben - it looked hard going at times and sounds like it was a bit monotonous on some stretches especially doing it solo. Hats off to you mate 👌👊
You obviously prefer trainers to waterproof walking boots right? 👍
Yes, the monotony got to me a bit but just had to push on. I've been using the Brooks trailrunners for a while. They're not waterproof but they are very light, excellently cushioned and dry out more quickly than boots. I do also own boots though for romps in the woods, camps etc. Many thanks for watching and commenting. Full film version of this hike coming out soon on the channel! Cheers and ATB - BEN
A nice relaxing finish. An interesting walk, did yoi find it relaxing due to how flat it was? I did a 33 mile day hike this week and that had nearly 5,000ft of ascent and it was a real slog towards the end.
33!!!!?!!!! How long did that take??
@@benhikescamps about 11 hours. I've created my own long distance hike in Wales. I'm now walking it bit by bit. It's 173 miles in total.
Ben, is the tent as good as the Helm 1 or is the Helm still the favourite? Great videos though mate.
Hi Andy. Both very different tents so can’t really compare in my view. I’ve been using the Lanshan 2 Pro for summer and backpacking recently as it’s light and airy. The Helm C1 is for my late autumn to spring camping.
Did you get a bus to King's Lynn, a train to Ely and then another train to Thetford?
Yes, that’s the way.
Loving this type video. Thank you. Can I ask, make model of your trekking poles please. And do you recommend ?
Thanks for that feedback. My trekking poles are Nature Hike’s carbon fibre poles which are about £50’ish for the pair. They have worked well for me and are a good price.
Thank you, arrh they are carbon, great price. But think I'm bit heavy for carbon. So back to ordering some Cork trail poles from Black diamond. Keep on walking.
congrats! how long did you have to wait for the bus?
About an hour and 20. Thanks for watching!
@@benhikescamps I hope you where in the pub that time lol!
