"Lusting after new games when I already have loads of perfectly good ones I still *haven't finished* " Try *haven't started* and that's a bit more accurate for me 😂
I agree. I've been watching the Friday's 7 list for years and he still has entertaining content. A beer and some Rob is the best way to start my Friday evening after work.
Rob should really write a book or something, He has such a way with words giving them a flowery divine property it Always such a Pleasure to listen to 💖
@@mnArqal93 That'll be a hilarious video. But I don't think Rob would talk of Arkham Catwoman's suit or Quiet's default outfit with the same tone, for the sake of his job. 😛
Greed is taking that extra stab at the boss in Dark Souls, knowing damn well you're gonna get annihilated for this, but you just can't help doing it. Greed.
When Rob started with lust, I honestly thought it was going to be something about earning the ”looking up a female character’s skirt”-trophies in NieR: Automata and Lollipop Chainsaw. But tbh I feel way more guilt for lusting over new games without finishing the old ones than I ever have for looking at 2B’s behind.
Bless me father rob for I have sinned. I've got gaming gluttony and real bad. When Kingdom Hearts III came out, there was a massive snow storm that canceled university for three days. I spent every waking hour of those three days doing nothing but playing Kingdom Hearts III. On the third day, I wandered back into university, sad and solemn that I'd finished my life-long dream. And, I'll probably do it again when Kingdom Heart 4 comes out.
When he said "No, it's lusting over..." and the kingdom hearts clip played I thought "Yep, guilty as charged, I too would kill for Aqua" XD Edit: ...and Larxene
1:07 "Lusting after new games when you already have loads of perfectly good ones you haven't finsihed yet" *Looks at games I haven't even PLAYED yet.* YES. Finished. Yes.
When my son is struggling with a boss, the tactic I go with is I will fight the boss down to one hit let it kill me and give the controller back to him. I'm not going to beat the game for him. I do explain what I'm looking for in attack patterns but he has to do the work.
During the entire Mass Effect trilogy, I kept Garrus in the party. I felt like such a bad commander for clearly having a favorite. I imagined my other crewmates being jealous and giving him a hard time.
Alright. How many of you have committed gluttony during a steam sale? Buy games you won’t ever play. Or buying another game when you have too many already on the backlog?
Rob my man at it again! It is no lie when I say I look forward this video Every Single Week. This is my type of entertainment mixing my love of games into love of comedy. Rob you a genius! Love ya man!
I do try to keep pride in check, as one of my friends who plays a lot of similar games to me almost always has more trophies than me. I sometimes compare our trophy counters to see who is doing better which game. Sometimes one of us is doing massively better and sometimes it is a very close margin. Usually it is him doing better because he has more time to commit to games. I have only ever fully rage quit two games; Star Wars Fallen Order and Crash Bandicoot 1. I also have 2 less than functioning remotes from rage throws. The television remains intact.
At 2:53 Rob looks eerily like the Villain from Crash Bandicoot... I think he has been playing it too... damn... much... he’s been morphing into the villain with his “video game sins.”
I'm very guilty of lust and wrath. Lost my temper trying to get all gold for the circuit experience in Gran Turismo Sport. Slammed my Dualshock 4 down and stomped about a bit. I could honestly watch Rob rage at Fallguys all day. There's something special about watching people rage at games. Makes me know I'm not the only one.
2:29 If this is a deliberate There Will Be Blood reference then I doff my hat to you, sir. Actually, even if it's accidental I still doff my hat. Bravo :D
My “gaming gluttony” is when I get inexplicably obsessed with a game and binge it for weeks, or months, playing multiple rounds of New Game+. I’ve done this with many games. I obsessed Mass Effect 3 for two months solid. Poured 400 hours into SAO Fatal Bullet without playing anything else. Plenty of times I also get indecisive as well. Switching between four or five games in the space of a few hours.
How could you do that to your sister? She got you help her with fighting N Gin with Coco, meaning you get the chance to play the best crash boss AND be a doting brother! Sounds great!
Horizon Zero Dawn helped me break from the sin of Gluttony. I learned how the items classed what they were used for when it was important to sell, trade, breakdown into something else or just simply drop it. The game opened up a lot and I was strategically running through the game optimizing my items
Definitely committed envy when I saw a YT video of someone with NG+ armor in GoW going crazy in the Muspelheim trials. The combos he was doing and how fast he was pulling them off, absolute madness. Saw that and was like damn, I’m never going to be that good.
When I see someone who's really skilled or high powered on a game, personally it just motivates me to play it more, and then I realise how bad I am at it and take a break for about half a year...
Rob, i’ve actually watched your videos for like 3 years, I know it would never happen but I would love to work with you guys, I love these videos, Ans I love your voice because I find it so iconic

Gaming sins. 1- Lust: Yes, but I usually finish my games but that is a whole nother issue, the grind to be done in time... 2- Gluttony: Yes, every time... I am a binger. Cyberpunk 2077 will eat my life. 3- Greed: OMG, the hoarding... I mean that extra spoon could be special... at some point... for something... 4- Sloth: I can't seem to give up.. the frustration of a hard boss or a difficult stretch of a stage just pushes me to fight on. What's worse is after winning and feeling that high... then like some twisted addict, I crank up the difficulty and fight on to feel even more powerful... 5- Wrath: I never rage quit. Never have never will, but ill be damn if I don't get in full-on screaming matches with my TV when some mechanic mucks me up or if I'm just a fraction of a second too slow and I get got by a baddy. 6- Envy: This only makes me get gud... cause.. I wants. 7- Pride: I am not the sort to think I'm the best. I always like finding something or someone better than me because it gives me a drive to improve.
Lust: All the time. I really need to finish Yakuza 6 before November. Gluttony: I finished Persona 5 Royal in two weeks and it only took me 150 hours. Greed: I call that the RPG disease. Sloth: If a game gets too hard it gets retired. Wrath: No comment. Envy: No more looking at other islands in Animal Crossing 6/7
I have a big problem with most of them. Lust - I am VERY guilty of this, my backlog is huuuge. I've tried setting a 'no new game until I finish a game' rule, but Sony's sales are too good and my will power is weak. Missing PS5 preorders is a blessing. Gluttony - Yep, this one too. I binge games then feel sad when there's no more game. I do it less so nowadays thankfully, but have on occasion had 20+ hour gaming sessions, forgetting self-care things like eating / drinking / stretching. Greed - Hoarding stuff yes. In RPGs I often struggle through without using healing items because I'll need them later - then I finish the game without using them. Also on trophy greed, yeeeees. I succumbed to it and ended up getting the My Name is Mayo platinum - twice! Haven't hit the 100 Platinums yet though! Sloth - I relate to this too. I've tried Dark Souls 1 and 3, and I think both are sitting at < 10% of trophies earned because I sad-quit them. I know I should go back but I just... haven't yet. It's intimidating. I also haven't picked up Crash 4 because I've heard it's a terribly hard platinum, which isn't fair because it's probably a really good game which deserves to get played. Wrath / Envy / Mean-Pride - Haven't really had problems with these ones. I don't get angry at games. I understand the time behind the shiny armour and such, so Envy becomes Admiration / Inspiration. And mean-Pride makes no sense to me - people enjoy things in their own way and that's valid.
Since everyones are so lazy that they won't make timestamps I guess i'll do it.. 1. Sin of Lust 0:42 2. Sin of Gluttony 2:37 3. Sin of Greed 5:07 4. Sin of Sloth 6:35 5. Sin of Wrath 7:56 6. Sin of Envy 9:38 7. Sin of Pride 11:26
