Most singers and "common folk" will likely place the words on the beat, because that is how you write the song, it is "correct" and safe. Angelina is not restrained by that AT ALL, she's completely free to place the words wherever they need to be to emhasize the lyrics. This is a trait singers with a deep understanding of conveying the essence of the song have. Furthermore, she has automated the process of placing the words in a tasteful way to the point where it is like breathing to her. She does it on top top level, like Alicia Keys, Frank Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald. It is mind boggling and extremely rare :)

Heidi gave Angelina the "golden buzzer" on AGT. They've been friends ever since, even though they are quite a bit different as people in some respects. Heidi absolutely respects Angelina's talent and adores her for the humble, almost innocent young lady that she is. Angelina respects and appreciates that Heidi has been around the entertainment business for a long time, and has some wisdom to impart. As for the song, I've never concerned myself with the meaning.

Baby fuzz sent her a song to do a demo tape on at the age of 10 still holding out for you your mom did not want it released but it got leaked so they allowed to keep it out there. Unbelievable song.
Heidi Klum has become a great friend to Angelina. I believe Heidi is a great person to educate Angelina about being a celebrity and who is best to associate with. We greatly look forward to the EP, due this month of June, with a few more original songs. The remainder of the album will drop later this year. Heidi is Angelina's "Golden Buzzer Mama" (for her Bohemian Rhapsody performance @ the Champions show) Heidi was just smitten by Angelina, they became great friends. The guests were a bit "hoity toity"...too good to clap or even move but did so after the performance. No matter, the hostess loves her and that's all that matters...that "smirk" I think, was just a "knowing acknowledgement" to Heidi who never stopped smiling.....Angelina has performed for kings, Presidents, Prime Ministers, even Quincy Jones...and she's as understated, classy and elegant...we'll never see her popping gum or any part of her anatomy...this young woman is the epitome of CLASS and Composure. ❣Thnx for the reaction Nick!!

Sorry, to disappoint. This was recorded in LA. We do not have such plants in our gardens and the weather at that time was UHHHHH. In the beginning Heidi said in German: "I met her and she was my Golden Buzzer at AGT. Today she is 17". Heid is a friend and almost neighbor of AJ. After believing for years that Amy wrote this, then recently being told that Mick Ronson did, I was surprised to find that the song was actually written by Dave McCabe of The Zutons, a UK band, about a makeup artist's arrest for driving with a suspended license. Mick Ronson covered it with guest vocalist Amy Winehouse and had a big hit with it. Angelina takes ownership with this absolutely stunning cover. The nuance and technique on display here is riveting. She is not mimicing at all, she immerses herself in each and every song that she decides to perform for us, if she is not changing the lyrics then she is changing the arrangements to make it her own. Angelina herself has stated that she feels a responsibility to put worth into every cover that she performs and not just kinda going thru the motions to put something out for fans. Hi Nick, hope you are well. This performance was on Germany's next top model that Heidi Klum is in charge of. Heidi was the judge on America's Got Talent 3 years ago that gave Angelina the Golden buzzer for her performance of Bohemian Rhapsody. Note that it is highly unusual for a judge to befriend a contestant, but Heidi has taken Angelina under her wing and they have been close friends for 3 years. I believe Heidi has been grooming Angelina for modeling as well, as you can tell just by this image! Angelina, as you know has been singing since she was a toddler. She has had countless influences along the way, starting with Legends such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and many more. Amy Winehouse became a huge influence somewhere in Angelina's pre-adolescence it appears. Angelina is known as the barefoot princess of 1000 voices and it is clear why, as you stated she is a vocal chameleon. She can embody and channel any of her influences and make it her own as you stated. However, the one thing that Angelina does not do is mimic as she is always her own artist. A week or so ago, it was announced that Angelina will have a concert in the US in Portsmouth New Hampshire on September 22nd! This may be her first US performance on her album tour but we don't know for sure. We do know the album is coming this summer. There are many fans who have already purchased tickets including myself and this will be quite an experience. By that time her new music will be out. It would be great if you could make it! Thanks for another thoughtful reaction. I had subscribed before you discovered Angelina, so it's been fun to follow your AJ journey. I love what you said about Angelina's "chameleon" mode, how she embodies and pays tribute to artists that have gone before while still making a song completely her own. She and Heidi met when Angelina was on America's Got Talent, and Heidi's been in her corner ever since. This was such a great performance, and she sang other songs while the models did their thing. Sorry but to me, Parrots “Mimic”, Angelina does not “mimic”. I cringe when I hear that word when referring to a human being, especial an artist. I guess I’m just picky with the use of words. Words have to much power, they can heal or they can hurt. I know it’s hard to describe Angelina’s voice; her tone, her use of all the colors (nuances, rifts and runs, highs and lows, etc.) very soulful and unique to her. Let’s not forget the over 10 years of daily hard work, learning from those greats who inspired her since she was 3 or 4 years old. Angelina is very unique and any comparisons or similarities are those we put in our heads, for sure not on hers. Just look at Angelina’s hair when she was 8, 9 or 10 yo. You’ll see what I mean.

Isn't amazing how the judges on the talent shows AJ participated in, start as judges and wind up as friends of the family. The power of love. The barefoot, princess is absolutely a musical genius. Don’t know if you did it, but you want to see a mind blowing performance at the age of 10. Baby fuzz sent her a song to do a demo tape on at the age of 10 still holding out for you your mom did not want it released but it got leaked so they allowed to keep it out there. Unbelievable song.

Heidi is Angelina's "Golden Buzzer Mama" (for her Bohemian Rhapsody performance @ the Champions show) Heidi was just smitten by Angelina, they became great friends. The guests were a bit "hoity toity"...too good to clap or even move but did so after the performance. No matter, the hostess loves her and that's all that matters...that "smirk" I think, was just a "knowing acknowledgement" to Heidi who never stopped smiling.....Angelina has performed for kings, Presidents, Prime Ministers, even Quincy Jones...and she's as understated, classy and elegant...we'll never see her popping gum or any part of her anatomy...this young woman is the epitome of CLASS and Composure. ❣Thnx for the reaction Nick!!

After believing for years that Amy wrote this, then recently being told that Mick Ronson did, I was surprised to find that the song was actually written by Dave McCabe of The Zutons, a UK band, about a makeup artist's arrest for driving with a suspended license. Mick Ronson covered it with guest vocalist Amy Winehouse and had a big hit with it. Angelina takes ownership with this absolutely stunning cover. The nuance and technique on display here is riveting. She's really coming into her own. Great reaction, Nick!

This version is slowed down compared to the first 3, but it features a soul-piercing primal wail (at about 4:37) that even dazzles her bass player (at about 4:43) who has been with her for 6 or 7 seven years! She is not mimicing at all, she immerses herself in each and every song that she decides to perform for us, if she is not changing the lyrics then she is changing the arrangements to make it her own. Angelina herself has stated that she feels a responsibility to put worth into every cover that she performs and not just kinda going thru the motions to put something out for fans. Hi Nick, hope you are well. This performance was on Germany's next top model that Heidi Klum is in charge of. Heidi was the judge on America's Got Talent 3 years ago that gave Angelina the Golden buzzer for her performance of Bohemian Rhapsody. Note that it is highly unusual for a judge to befriend a contestant, but Heidi has taken Angelina under her wing and they have been close friends for 3 years. I believe Heidi has been grooming Angelina for modeling as well, as you can tell just by this image!
Angelina, as you know has been singing since she was a toddler. She has had countless influences along the way, starting with Legends such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and many more. Amy Winehouse became a huge influence somewhere in Angelina's pre-adolescence it appears. Angelina is known as the barefoot princess of 1000 voices and it is clear why, as you stated she is a vocal chameleon. She can embody and channel any of her influences and make it her own as you stated. However, the one thing that Angelina does not do is mimic as she is always her own artist.
A week or so ago, it was announced that Angelina will have a concert in the US in Portsmouth New Hampshire on September 22nd! This may be her first US performance on her album tour but we don't know for sure. We do know the album is coming this summer. There are many fans who have already purchased tickets including myself and this will be quite an experience. By that time her new music will be out. It would be great if you could make it! Once again, it is at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire.

Thanks for another thoughtful reaction. I had subscribed before you discovered Angelina, so it's been fun to follow your AJ journey. I love what you said about Angelina's "chameleon" mode, how she embodies and pays tribute to artists that have gone before while still making a song completely her own. She and Heidi met when Angelina was on America's Got Talent, and Heidi's been in her corner ever since. This was such a great performance, and she sang other songs while the models did their thing. Sorry but to me, Parrots “Mimic”, Angelina does not “mimic”. I cringe when I hear that word when referring to a human being, especial an artist. I guess I’m just picky with the use of words. Words have to much power, they can heal or they can hurt. I know it’s hard to describe Angelina’s voice; her tone, her use of all the colors (nuances, rifts and runs, highs and lows, etc.) very soulful and unique to her. Let’s not forget the over 10 years of daily hard work, learning from those greats who inspired her since she was 3 or 4 years old. Angelina is very unique and any comparisons or similarities are those we put in our heads, for sure not on hers. Just look at Angelina’s hair when she was 8, 9 or 10 yo. You’ll see what I mean.
