The new season of training has progressed better than expected so I've deviated from the plan and gone towards skill training, working the handstand push-up. Training the HSPU is a tough jump to pair both balance and strength which is where the skill element comes in. In this video, I share how I am approaching working towards 5 reps to make the handstand push-up easier. - Навчання та стиль
Hey Tom, just wanted to say a massive thank you for your content! Been watching you for the last 3 years and your videos and fitness/lifestyle philosophies have been a huge influence on my fitness journey. Loads of love man ❤️
Enjoyed this series brother. So down to earth and relatable, although an absolute ninja! Thank you for your content and channel.
Really enjoyed following this programme. Looking forward to tackling the final stages!
Love the video, love the Vivo's!
I’ve worked with tom for over 2.5 years now and it’s been nothing but exceptional! Hes an epic coach and his programs have gotten me to my goals way faster than when I tried. Smart programming and unlocking moves that would take double the time! By far the best in the business! Shout out champ! This is Akbar
Hi Tom, I'm feeling my best right now, and that's also partly due to your videos 😁 You give off such good vibe and I feel refreshed and remotivated after watching a video and I love how far you've come with your content ☺
I'm approximately the same height/weight/age as you and I recently started pole dancing, which has completely changed my goal skill-set. I've got enough muscles to lift myself through most of the moves (can almost do the HSPU and high pull ups), however there is seldom grace or elegance as my flexibility and body control is still lacking 😄Sometimes I look enviously at my female peers, which just drop into splits without problems and I doubt, whether I will ever be able to achieve something similar. However, you've shown and often reminded me that with enough preseverance and consistency, I'll achieve this one day too. And seeing you as a role model, who has similar struggles, has helped me a lot with sticking to my programs 😊
I have learned and progressed a lot thanks to you and I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart 😁
The reason I've not been at my peak is because of my responsibilities
😂 life do be like that
Love all your videos ❤ long time ago I was fit. Trying to start being healthy and fit again. Admire your motivation and courage. Best of luck!
It’s like saving, consistent deposits into the bank of health
man HSPU is hard for us bigger guys lol (especially pushing almost 40 now). I recently unlocked it and it definitely took some time.
Very true, the distance of travel with long arms is just much heavier
My best flow was 2 months ago before Ramadan but I got injured during the month training and hooping. But I'm trying to get back to where I need to be by getting back to 4 meals a day and icepacking my injuries
Would like to see a video explaining exercise selection and rep ranges for the 3 phases you worked through
No hard and fast rule here but consider accumulation more hypertrophy, intensification more strength. Specification is just keeping the program more focused and less general
Those Birch Woods must look mesmerizing during Autumn.
Same weather as in South Europe, I must notice.
Man, I have been in a rough time lately. I had a string of injuries and due to this, anxiety raised. It felt like I always had something to worry about relating to an injury on my body, and due to this fear of losing an identity of myself. Maybe it was due to the anxiety thoughts that these pains were creeping up, as this is also related to your physical body. I really want to increase my bent arm strength in the handstand position to unlock the HSPU and I hope I will climb back up and have a good period ahead of me, I know progress is not linear and I learned to accept this. Thanks for this video!
I feel you! It’s amazing how things can change with some consistency. Just work that you can manage, not forcing it and gradually building
At my best I was squatting 675lbs, deadlift ~700lbs, pullups 270lbs +3 plates, preacher curls plate and a half a side, pullovers 160lb dumbbell, etc etc.
Sets of around 10 on all of those. 1 rep maxes are for ego lifters that enjoy getting injured.
Eating every free second of the day, travel around on a bicycle, work 8h, go to university.
What do i do different now? Not much. Goals slightly different, finished university 30 years ago, but I still learn stuff on my own. Travel around by car instead.
My best was when I had a daily meditation routine. I listened to Tara Brach a whole lot. I used the Waking Up app. I was really into the “train your mind and your body.” I still feel good physically but less mentally strong.
Sometimes finding quiet time is the hardest
I am my best version right now, close to achieve one clean rep of front lever pull up, one arm handstand and 2 reps 90 degree push up. But i am heavier than before because i am bulking to gain muscle mass. I expect to get on my final form end of this year after cutting to become lighter. I believe that the most important thing it's constancy.
Awesome, love to hear it
Hi. I have a question. Is it possible for me to teach myself full splits as I don't have a mentor, because I'm learning Martial arts by myself. Also, could I combine yoga exercises to gain the splits faster.
The view is nice and I can hear your voice comfortably. You are as flexible as a combination of yoga and gymnastics.😮
🙏

Hello
Got moved to 12 hour night shifts. Sleeping on my days off, no time on my workdays
Night shifts are brutal
Yoooo
I need to stop eating after 10p and I need to get more sleep
05:36 I will win.
Never 😂
For me, it's right now. Mainly coz I'm the leanest I've ever been before
💪
