You guys are fucking killing me with the Ace in the grocery store LMFAS, much better than the actual video. Could you imagine an Ace Frehley reality show? Hey that might get him out his tax problems.
Great episode! From reading a Peter interview, he said that he lost a lot of his stock investment money after 9/11. He spoke with his accountants about the Aerosmith tour (after he agreed) and they pretty much guaranteed him he would be financially set (when the tour was done). Tyler and (especially) Kramer hated KISS and didn't want them on the tour. Peter said Kramer was an a**hole. I love Aerosmith, but I skipped this tour. Didn't want to see KISS bowing down opening for them. I would love to see you guys do an episode on when Gene and Paul raided the 1994 Detroit KISS Expo and took their costumes back, I don't think any KISS podcast has ever covered that. Please keep doing the Ace impersonations!
Great episode as always! Amazing how long Kiss just kept on touring and just let themselves become a nostalgia act without any desire to make or release new music. The last years they even used the backing tracks. Talk about circus coming to town… Now to my question: Can we collectively hire Tony the tax man to help Ace out?😂 After he’s sorted out Ace’s economics and secured his passport, you bring Tony in as a guest so we can hear what Ace spent his money on!😄 Thanks for a great show, I’m listening every week from Sweden👍
Great episode!!! From the shows I've seen and heard online I really enjoyed the tour!!! Even though it had a simple setlist, the band sounded tight and Peter's drumming had made a major rebound after the previous Farewell Tour. He started playing with a lot more effort and it was interesting to hear him play several rarities during the Japanese shows and the one off Las Vegas show earlier that year. Such a weird but interesting era for KISS and definitely a transitional one as you guys talked about.
It was a dream come true to see them both together. Perry said in his autobiography that Tyler hated touring with Kiss and didn't want to talk to the media during that tour. I think this reached Mr Stanley's ears . If you recall Paul being interviewed by Richard Marx he changed the subject when Richard brought up Tyler.
Holy shit I have to comment again...... I listened to the show from beginning to end no break...... the last Ace bit had me laughing so hard I started to cough and almost puked, i love Ace but he is a fucking wreck now.
I went to the dec. Knoxville show with my 8 yr old sun! I’ll always rem. It!! I have always wondered what ace would of looked like in his alive costume if he had still been with them! Space ace Ron ⚡️⚡️⚡️
was at the Charlotte and Raleigh shows outdoors then Greensboro it was fun seeing both bands but the setlists being shorter 14 songs for KISS , next year in 2004 their setlist was just 17 songs and when I saw them in 09 it was still 17, they finally moved it up to 21 songs in 2010 when I saw them. You how bad the numbers were the next year for the Rock the Nation tour you can see why they didn't do a big US tour again until 09 with the Sonic Boom tour.
I was at both Detroit Shows! I always thought it was odd KISS was opening before Aerosmith, mainly for logistical purposes seeing the sheer amount of gear to bring down just to put up the little garage band setting style of gear.
We saw this show in North Carolina that yr. I think in Charlotte or Greensboro. Felt really odd kiss coming on before Aerosmith . I thought kiss blew them away, We were of course painted up for the show. The stage had a runway goin out front of the stage. And we were front row to that stage. We were so pumped that maybe, we have a front row seat and kiss would use that stage. We were wrong and disappointed because that was Aerosmith’s part of the stage that they only used . Other than the kiss performance, the thing that stood out is that Steven Tyler sang to my wife from that stage. She had gene makeup on and they put the spotlight on her. So that was pretty cool. But it was definitely the weirdest kiss show we had seen. It did t feel right. The stage show and setlist were definitely scaled down. The other shows with Motley Crue , Def Leppard and poison were much better.
I remember KISS mopping the floor with Aerosmith on this tour. Both shows i went to featured KISS burying Aerosmith...and half the audience.leaving three songs into Aerosmith's set BOTH TIMES
I have never been a big Aerosmith fan but the songs I like (mostly from ROCKS) I like. They almost seemed to fit it with that early New York rock and roll scene more than Kiss. But "Honkin' on Bobo"? What the fuck is that?!
I went to the one in fresno, savemart Alot of people left after kiss And I left before Aerosmith encores. Obviously we now know wich band has the bigger egos.screw tylers cat walk ramp. I do remember people were irritated at the merchandise,in between bands,it was wtf Kiss did blow Aerosmith off the stage Again why waste time watching Aerosmith balloons. I still think Kramer performed better than peter Overall both were good. By the time motley, def lep I left disappointed no bang for my buck.
I was was being nice with Peter. Been a kiss fan since 77,and almost tuned out a few times over the years And still don't see the hype with Peter and ace. They are good But not great
paul has never been in aces league as guitar player even today. paul is average at best also get your facts straight peter in his book said joey kramer was an A hole they were far from friends
You definitely don’t listen to the show. Paul gets shit all the time for his “Renaissance Man” act. And you definitely have no sense of humor if you don’t like the Ace impressions or you are in the Ace Cult. Go listen to the other shitty KISS podcasts

Joey Kramer is a much better drummer than Peter.

Have you seen any of Ace's shows? I'd say at this point, Paul might be the better player.
How much is Paul Stanley paying you guys ? Not funny now . Time to put the brakes on ripping into Jendale King.
