I was so happy to hear how well “Sure Know Something” was received during this episode. It has always been in my top 10 Kiss songs of all time and probably in my top 30 songs that I know of all time. It just captures that youthfulness and desperation that a girl can have over you so well, no matter where you’re at as a guy in 79 hearing it for the first time,or how I was being a Freshman in 07 and hearing it for the first time . Paul sums up how hose emotions so well in this classic song. I’m still shocked it wasn’t played on the Dynasty Tour despite being a single, but also, nothing compares to the Live Versions of this song we were gifted between MTV Unplugged and the Symphony CD/DVD . Really great episode guys.
I'm glad to see that you have allowed ACE some more snacks in addition to his perennial favorites. Who doesn't love POP-corn?! You guys are the greatest. Please keep it up because: "YOU GOT! YOU GOT! YOU GOT! WHAT I NEED!!!".
Dynasty was the end of me being a rabid kiss fan at this point Peter was on his way out. The moment I saw him without makeup and sporting a beard my heroes died. The feeling the kiss fans had after that last msg eotr show is exactly how I felt in 1980. Ever since then I've just been a casual fan.
Awesome show! Dynasty is in my top 3 as well. The track listing is out of order because when they went to create the album cover, they didn't know the final mastering order. So they put the songs in alphabetical order. This has happened on many of their records.
I'm only 10 seconds into this episode and you guys are getting Charisma and Hard Times in your Pantaloons. It's a good thing I don't have X-Ray Eyes! 👀
Although, Dynasty isnt my favorite Kiss album, it still holds a special place in my heart because its my 1st concert ever!!! I remember the EXACT FUCKING DAY: July 21, 1979...Pittsburgh Civic Arena!!! My 2 favorite songs on this album: #2) I Was Made For Loving You....#1) the rest of the album.
To the person saying Ace should be like Bruce, no he shouldn't. They don't talk sh#t about Bruce in the media like they do to Ace. He's completely entitled to fire back. They haven't been making millions of dollars on what Bruce Kulick created. They don't have a guy on stage pretending to be Bruce Kulick. Ace has been more then reserved when talking about those machiavellians.
This was my first kiss album. I loved it the. And I love it now. No bad songs. It’s a top 5 kiss album for me. My fav song on the album then was iwmfly. Now it’s magic touch. Killer cover. I think that if they had put naked city, tomorrow, and is that you on this album with the dynasty production, it might be my fav overall. Then you could have skipped making unmasked and go straight for creatures/ killers. I love unmasked and the elder, but the masses don’t. Unmasked was too syrupy. Dynasty was just slick enough. I like the production, especially for what they were goin for but I prefer Kramer. But a great album. My rankings 1. Magic touch 2.i was made for loving you 3. Sure know something 4. Charisma 5. Save your love 6. Hard times 7. 2000 man 8. Dirty living 9. X ray eyes This list changes. All good songs
real good review of probably there last classic album !!! paul still hasnt explained how ace was so bad but you gave him three songs two albums in a row !!!! zeus when you did that gene impression im going out for a sandwich and old pussy just comedy gold !!!!
Ace is the first one to go on and on about how greedy Gene and Paul. The same sentence he'll say something like yeah I'll go back if the money's right😂
Yeah, why wouldn't he? He's being honest. He knows that's the only reason they invite him to things. It's not because they care about Ace or the fans. It's all about money. He wants his fare share and he knows they would have no problem giving him pennies on the dollar. He did the cruise once and said they didn't talk to him at all. He's never done it since. Ace has to read in the media about how he and Peter were invited on the farewell tour when we all know that's a bold faced lie.
I bought this album as a 13 year old in 1979. I had Alive! Destroyer, Dressed to Kill, debut album KISS, Love Gun, Alive II, Double Platinum and all 4 solo albums. I was already outgrowing the band at the time and felt burned as Ace's solo album was the only one that wasn't a waste of vinyl. Ace's two songs on Dynasty are the only good ones. Rest of the album sucked. I checked out for good after this. Especially after buying Van Halen I and Highway to Hell.
For all you Star Trek fans that are also Kiss fans, I have great news. A reboot of the movies is coming. The first movie will be titled Star Trek: The Wrath of Genghis Khan. Ace Frehley is composing the sound track, which will include songs like "Space Trucking," "Rocket Ride," and "Torpedo Girl." He has a cameo and will say the classic line at Spock's funeral: "Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most...human."

I literally just got through doing a drum play-along to DYNASTY! Anton rules!

Great Joe Walsh impression.
Love Dynasty! I put it at number 9 on my album rankings (including the solos)
Feel how you may about IWMFLY but Zeus is spot on - that song will demolish any dance floor in Europe and have the whole building singing along.

Metallica cut their hair just like Kiss did with The Elder. Load and Reloaded were two major turds in a punchbowl full of shit
