I actually had him in the fight vs the herald. Also its very likely that connections being made obvious, will only qppear way later down the line. I cant wait for it though
also remember way back in the first chapter of the archon quest when the abyss order attacked mondstadt? kaeya disappeared without a trace the whole duration of the attack and amber complains about it. who knows what he was up to back then

Another thing about Kaeya is his basic attack makes him disappear in a ball of light before reappearing again, the same as an abyss mage would disappear in a ball of light.
His Q, his 4th constellation, and his fluffy scarf is all similar to abyss mages. His Q makes iscicles float around him like when abyss mages are regaining their shields. His 4th constellation gives him a shield, and his fluffy scarf/cape thingy looks like the fur of an abyss mage. THE RESEMBELANCE IS UNCANNY AHHHH

Now correct me if I'm wrong since I don't own keqing, but it seems from game play that she's teleporting to her projectile thing. Everyone gangster until Kaeya becomes a crucial part to the story and they realize that maybe they should have raised their friendship lvl with him so they won't get yeeted into the abyss.
I used to main him, until... Let's say, a list of inconveniences occurred. My only pyro character for a long time was Amber and I couldn't defeat cryo regisvine so he got stuck at lvl 40. Then I got Xiangling and managed to defeat it, but I had just gotten Chongyun from the stand by me event and would feel bad benching him, so I ascended him first. Then I replaced him with Xianling since I had farmed already farmed the pyro regisvine a bunch of times, hoping to get Hu Tao or Xiangling. Then I had to raise Diona so I can defeat oceanid without co-op, and then I got Bennett and had to raise Beidou, so I ran out treasure hoarder's insignia. I ascended him, but still haven't leveled him up because I got Childe who's now stuck at lvl 60... Edit: for the shake of somewhat fixing the punctuation

Kaeya has carried my team since day one and out of love and respect for him I poured everything I had into raising him. Alberich is also the name of the dwarven (?) king, Alberich. Plus, with the colour schemes (kaeya generally having darker skin to match that of Alberich and dainsleif having similar colours to those people seen in depictions of the king. Dainsleif is also related to Dain, who is related to Alberich, but that’s another story alltogether. I just think that it’s interesting

Someone on Twitter made a thread about how Kaeya's character name card description in German, in Russian and in Spanish actually says: "Kaeya is not missing an eye, but rather..." The sentence ends there. It ends with 3 dots, a goddamn cliffhanger. In English, it's asking you a rhetorical question. Things is the starters were really bad at the start of the game since you couldn't upgrade their talents and the lack of 5 star artifacts didn't help either, but damn my kaeya hits harder than mi xiao lol. And lisa has an actual incredible scale but i haven't upgraded her yet...so yeah, still they are pretty good

And since starters can hit just as good as any other characters, their slander now feels more like a bunch of parrots repeating the same bs after each other without even trying to see for themselves if it's true and hating them only because they're free. I started playing in October and had Kaeya on my team ever since, it never crossed my mind he's weak lol. Also my Xiao hits a bit harder with his E than my Kaeya, and Q is not really comparable imo, but doesn't change the fact Kaeya is still the king of normal attacks for me (plus he's an absolute tank), and that Xiao only got a significant boost because I was lucky enough to roll his spear recently, which is also the only 5 star weapon I got. the fact Kaeya still keeps up despite that says a lot about how strong he is

So I see that almost Noone is talking how Childe went to the abyss by accident, trained 3 months and when he come back only 3 days had passed, this imply Tha the time in the abyss and maybe even in khaen'ria is distorted, this could mean Kaeya could have actually seen the tragedy of 500 years ago, in that case the hate for Venti and the other gods is palpable and now that he is present the desire for vengeance may be almost overwelming

I see now. Kaeya mentioned that we would get a sword in his story quest, and then claims that there actually never was one. But, Dain was also known as the "Twilight Sword" . This makes me think that Dain is the sword that Kaeya mentioned and had fully expected the traveler and Paimon to meet Dainsleif.
I'd like to think that why kaeya's pigment is darker is because of the disease as we all know hilichurls have very dark pigment , and there's no reason for his skin to be tan when he lives in monstadt and kaenriah next to monstadt which has the same latitude as a European nation

The reason why Kaeya was planted in Mondstat was so that he could look for a cure or solution to what happened to his people. I heard this info on one of the Kaeya explanation videos on UA-cam also idk if it's this one. (spoiler alert) Also Dainslief is also from Khaenr'ah but he was cursed with immortality but I doubt this is kaeya's case

I did suspect he's royalty because of his sword style. It is very elegant, the most elegant out of all sword users in the game currently imo. Which means he must be trained since he was young, and most royalties were trained to sword fight so...
Plus, he wraps a huge fur cape around his back and neck like the noble & the aristocrats. Oh, and lets not forget his sitting style--so full of elegance and authority. As if he's a Prince or someone of higher rank. Even before reading all these theories, I had this impression that Kaeya radiated royalty-like energy. Won't be surprised if he turns out to be the Prince of Khaenr'iah.
As a kaeya main, I got goosebumps in your theory. Ever since I read his thoughts about fischl, I always believe the assumption that he's actually a prince. I've been commenting that theory in other video theories about him and his connection to khaenriah. Now I feel like the real protagonist of this world of teyvat is him (Not us since we're just outlanders who came from other world). it feels to me that the whole plot of this game is about Kaeya and the fate of teyvat is dependent on which side he chooses. To be the savior or to be the destroyer. There's so much going on in this theory and I'm loving it. Can't wait for more archon quest about the abyss so we can learn more about him. If you saw kaeya's message on the poem he gave to venti, that gives more evidence that he is in kaenri'ah's side. He said " mi muhe ye means i love you in the language of the hilichurls". Upon searching this i found out that he lied to venti and traveler. It is actually a death threat, and declaration of war against venti and the other gods. "Mi muhe ye" means " i will triumph over you" kaeya is really sus. Considering mihoyo and their love for tragic scenes, i would not be surprised if we witness a death of an archon or god in future content.

I love kaeya as my fav character and I know he was sus from the beginning , I think he would stand beside diluc , he failed his mission once , if he betrays diluc and others then it's an unforgivable betrayal.
@@zei9256 his mission was being a spy but like they stated previously, Kaeya came clean to diluc hence "failing" his mission. And it happened in the manga and the lore in his character story as well

The part about Dainsleif is pretty much canon after the new Archon quest. Lumine called him "The Twilight Sword" and she said he was one of the royal guards of the final dynasty of Khaenri'ah
Personally I think Kaeya is the most interesting character in this game, among all the selectable characters. His mysterious background and his relationship with Diluc really got me😭and he’s even a prince😭
Another detail that some people have already noticed is that Kaeya's vision looks different than the visions of the other ´(vision) holders from mondstadt. Vision holders from there seem to have a three-winged vision while holders from liyue have a square over another square-like form. Kaeya's vision on the other hand is only two-winged, it looks pretty similar to mondstadt's vision but it's not the same. At first, I thought that may be because he's from Khaenri'ah but got his vision in mondstadt, but even Albedo (who's a pretty big mystery, too, and it's implied that he has a connection to Khaenri'ah) has a three-winged vision. I don't know if that means something and, if it does, what it means, but up to this point Kaeya's the only vision holder where it's explicitly stated that he's from Khaenri'ah, at least as far as I'm aware. It could be another hint at something. Also, fun fact: Kaeya seems to be an indian girl's name that means monsoon flower. I'm mostly guessing here, but monsoon's a rainy time from june to september in india. I'm not from there nor do I have any family members or friends there so I don't know how the monsoon is viewed in the country itself, but from a western point of view, I think of stuff like floodings. Figuratively speaking, that could mean that he was born during a difficult time (monsoon; lots of rain; floodings etc.) but still managed to survive, thrive. Flowers can have a lot of meanings, but most people connect them with spring. Spring stands for new life, new opportunities, hope - it's the season after the long & dark winter. Seems kind of familiar if you ask me. I don't know how the whole girl-name thing fits, so I think the name was more taken because how it sounds lmao
Interesting. Kaeya's Mondstadt vision has one less pair of wings on the bottom. I think visions' appearance is based on where the first person got it from the gods, rather than their birthplace. Most are live where they're born, and had life-changing (vision-granting) events there. There's a tight correlation. But there could be exceptions, because not everyone has a vision granted from thin air. Some get the object without power but then gain its recognition later. Indeed, Ningguang got her vision from someone else but as she tried to sell it the vision came to accept her. Visions with dead users have no power, but Ningguang showed her industriousness (roughly speaking, that's what Geo means and requires) by trying to plan an auction for it, so she earned the elemental power. For Mona I'm not sure because we meet her in Liyue but she has a Mondstadt-design vision. I looked at the wiki and it says it wasn't her vision but it was a teaching aid or something, until her vision(resonance) came into it. So the vision appeared in Mondstadt, got passed on to her teacher (or maybe it was her teacher's vision), and her teacher gave it to her, then Mona earned the elemental power, the "resonance with the vision". For Kaeya, although the design is not different enough to indicate he didn't get it in Mondstadt, there could be something there because of his conflicting loyalties? So when we talk about exceptions, it depends what rule has exceptions. Is Kaeya an exception (different appearance) because there's a mix of loyalties that meant the vision didn't form properly? Did he modify his vision? Those objects are surely not indestructible. And every character fashions their vision into an accessory of some kind so they can carry it on their person with their clothes. That would be a sensible explanation to establish how or why he'd do that. It's some kind of fashion statement that's very subtle and unnoticeable for those who don't pay attention to the smallest detail. As I said, his vision is identical in shape and theme in every way except the number of wings. Most people don't notice. I didn't until you said it.
Imagine if he was actually revealed to be a prince, his fangirls (including me) would all suffer from hemorrhagic shocks caused by a collective nosebleed.
To be honest it might not be with either side (the abyss nor teyvet) but actually his own side cuz Kaeya is known to work alone in important occasions that personally involves him and there’s many “occasions” that shows that Kaeya doesn’t need a helping hand to get the job done, he’s already shown to have connections with bad people and shown to have a good reputation in mondstat. Kaeya knows how to handle things on his own so he might not actually need the abysses help but might make an alliance with not just the abyss but teyvet and the fatui maybe (I’m saying the fatui since there known to make dealings and the Fatui ideals might actually align with Kaeya’s true motives...plus the Fatui is also a problem that get there own side). Knowing Kaeya he might not actually want Teyvet destroyed but to destroy Celestia who caused the actual war, but to do so he might have to pull some strings and that means he needs to destroy everything to get Celestia to notice and might be willing to since he’s shown to have a sadistic behavior sometime when on missions with other knights.

Hello! 5:25 The "Heart of the Abyss" talent was genuinely mistranslated. In Chinese, it's 冰渊之心, which is "Heart of Icy Depths". If that particular talent was truly connected to the Abyss, they would have named it like 深渊之心 instead (深渊 is Abyss in Chinese). I hope you find this helpful :)
It still doesn't stop the fact that it's canon that the Abyss and Khaenri'ah are the same thing. So even though it was a mistranslation, it's a mistranslation that wasn't super far-fetched from the plot of the story 😭👍
@@wolfhooks146 Oh no I was not denying the connection, I wanted to make it clear because I’ve seen people use this particular mistranslation as “evidence” for Kaeya/Abyss, especially on more open platforms like Twitter or UA-cam. There is plenty more evidence that ties Kaeya and Khaenri’ah/Abyss together. No need to use a mistranslation to do so.
I'm still not sure if it's relevant or misinformation, but if what he wrote in his Windblume poem really did mean "I will triumph over you" then that really pushes Kaeya towards a betrayal route. I think he will betray Teyvat but maybe Diluc will pull him back to Teyvat's side in the final hour? It kind of depends how guilty Mihoyo want him to feel for Crepus' death and his relationships with the characters from Mondstadt.
Fun fact: His vision is missing a wing. In other vison holder in monstad like jean, diluc, amber, albedo, etc. they have a 3 pair of wings while kaeya only have 2 pairs. check it. i wonder why and what it means.

I just realised that possibly all the Khaenri’ahn’s we know of in game are tied to the royal family and the King. Kaeya: (most likely) the King’s son and heir Dainsleif: Captain of the Royal Guard Rhinedottir: an alchemist, most likely served the royal family Pierro: in the Pale flame set it says- “I failed to earn the favor of the previous ruler. So too did I fail to stop them from tearing away the veil of sin, ushering in a tide of divine wrath, destruction, and foolishness...” so he also has ties to royalty. Which tells me that everything relating to Khaenri’ah is building up to Kaeya’s father and/or the Eclipse Dynasty in general. In the We Will Be Reunited Quest, Paimon even suggests that our twin may not even be the highest member in the Abyss and could be working for someone- the ‘king’ maybe? Aka Kaeya’s father? Which leads me to believe that perhaps every plot relevant Khaenri’ahn serves the King’s interest in some way or form- which leads me to believe that his plan isn’t entirely reliant on Kaeya and he perhaps foresaw the consequences of leaving Kaeya with the possibility he could become too attached, so he uses the other Khaenri’ahn’s in game to pursue other contingency plans. Either way I feel like he’s building up too be an endgame character. And since Khaenri’ah has Norse ties to it, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kaeya’s father was the ‘Odin’ type character in genshin impact- the most all knowing. And Kaeya and Dain with having an eyepatch/eye mask could be like an ode to Odin, the ruler of their homeland. Of course this is all just a theory.

kaeya’s peers have their normal attack talent named as favonius bladework: ___ (including albedo) so perhaps he had prior blade training in khaenriah thus his bladework being different from the others
great video, and i agree with a lot of what you said! however, i feel that there are some details missing about kaeya's character here that are important to factor in when asking the question of where his loyalty will lie when it comes to teyvat and khaenri'ah. to begin with, i think most people get so caught up on kaeya being a shady character and his obvious connections to the abyss and khaenri'ah that they tend to forget that kaeya is really loyal to the people he loves and to the home he's found in teyvat. he doesn't simply keep a list of prolific treasure hoarders and bandits and try to talk them into giving them more information just because it's interesting, but because he essentially functions as mondstadt's eyes and ears and because he cares about this city. in the manga, he's genuinely furious when the fatui suggest that mondstadt sell off their children for their experiments. he alone came up with idea to throw jean a party and was serious when he told the traveler that they "need to give her [their] full support." and as you said, he told diluc the truth because he felt the guilt of lying crushing him, but what you left out when you mentioned that he's a liar is that he lies because that's he sees that as his only choice. the one time he told the truth resulted in him losing family and ultimately becoming isolated due to this choice--""kaeya sees [his vision] as a stern reminder that he must live the rest of his life under the heavy burden of lies." not only this, but i think he must've been used to lying and deceiving already. since the abyss is such a dark place, being cunning looks like a survival instinct more than anything. another thing that was worth mentioning but i felt was overlooked here and tends to be overlooked in general is that kaeya has an obvious distaste for the abyss order in the same way that dainsleif does. the first line we get from his "about kaeya" audio is about the abyss order causing the traveler trouble, and i feel this is more due to the fact that he knows how they are because of the time he spent in the abyss rather than because he's in cahoots with them. in another line about himself, it's very clear that when he says "the sinners are all that's left, and they're not worth mentioning" in khaenri'ah , the sinners are the abyss order. i personally feel that you may have misinterpreted his actions in the cutscene with the abyss mage as well, because he didn't look happy to find the mage there. talking to people he already knows are up to no good is simply the way he operates, and depending on the information his suspect makes privy to him, he may let them go or make their lives a living hell, as referenced from one of his character stories. i think it's easier to say right now that he would clearly side with mondstadt, but you brought up an excellent point in the conclusion that kaeya had people he knew in khaenri'ah/the abyss before he was plucked up and placed in mondstadt. because we don't know who or what he had to leave behind in favor of his found family in mondstadt, the question of which side he'll choose becomes more relevant. i think that if we don't end up seeing his father, we'll definitely come across the survivors that knew him once we make it to the abyss, and i also think that he and dainsleif coming across one another would be a significant moment because as you suggested, it isn't likely that dainsleif is aware that there are still humans in the abyss that have survived generations after the destruction of khaenri'ah. and more than that, it's clear (to me, at least) that we're meant to take the connections between alberich and dainsleif in folklore quite literally. with that connection, i truly believe it's safe to say that kaeya was supposed to be khaenri'ahn royalty and would've been had the place not been destroyed 500 years prior. also, just as an aside to other people in the comments and in the forums i come across, kaeya is not 500 years old, y'all. it'd be different if kaeya hadn't grown up with diluc when they were children, but that's not the case. though khaenri'ah was destroyed 500 years prior, kaeya himself was not there for it and is much more likely to have heard stories of what khaenri'ah used to be, hence why he says "the legacy of khaenri'ah is long gone." i think the game means to imply that there have been humans that managed to survive and attempt to carry on khaenri'ah's legacy and restore it to what it used to be once again. there's definitely something special about kaeya that set him apart from whoever else was also a descendant, enough for him to be their "last chance." and in the same way that dainsleif is the twilight sword, and childe inherited his foul legacy transformation (two of his constellations are called abyssal mayhem), kaeya may also have access to a specific abyssal/khaenri'ahn power. it's either that, or, as thekingfenrir said, the other surviving descendants must be dying off quickly, making him quite literally their last surviving chance. anyway sorry for literal essay i just love kaeya so much and am really passionate about his character and story! i hope that whatever path mihoyo ends up taking with him is a path that does him justice. my expectations are heightened now after the recent archon quest exceeded my expectations. i would hate for them to have all this build up just for it to result in something really foolish. aside from mona saying he has a major decision to make, she also said he's destined for greatness and grandeur, so i hope to see that through!
i cant agree more!!!!!! i honestly always get a little annoyed when people think he is obviously going to betray mond when theres so much implying that hes become loyal to mondstadt or still stuck in the middle deciding. i personally think he sides with mond more bc of monas line. it gives me the implication that he just wants to leave his past behind and live a calm life in mond and based on his actions in the comic he seems to be loyal to mondstadt though i wont deny that poem in the windblume festival quest does imply the opposite.

I always liked the character from the begining and I had no clue that his story was so interesting. Kaeya has a really complex personnality for sure but I think that he wont be a traitor he has a sense of justice despite his bad behavour( like when his adoptive fater died. )
You know I think that we've been given clues to Kaeya's choice from the Windnblume festival. The love poem that Kaeya wrote didn't say "I love you" it really translated into "I'll triumph over you" and that was his message to b Barbatos.
I'm fully expecting a double cross moment with Kaeya.... regardless of the side he chooses, I'm the most interested to see what role he plays in the grand scheme of things. I'm wondering,how the treasure hoarders found out about the "treasure" that is hidden in the ruins in the Archon quest. From Kaeya's story as you mentioned in the video we learn that Kaeya knows almost everything about treasure hoarders : place in the "hierarchy", name, area of activity. In my opinion Kaeya is somehow responsible for the death of the treasure hoarders Grandmaster. Isn't it strange that "Otherwise, things would get too boring" fits perfectly with the Archon quest situation and the sadistic tastes of the cavalry captain?
IT WAS CONFIRMED! Okay, here me out. There is a new enemy called a Shadowy Husk: Standard Banner. In the description of it in the archives, it says that it carries the symbol of the royal house on it's banner. If you look at Kaeya, there are multiple places you can see this very symbol; on his boots, the ends of his scarf, the center of his corset, the purple cloth hanging off his left shoulder, etc! There is no denying it at this point. Kaeya is Khaneri'ah royalty. Or at least he has something major to do with the royal family.
I feel like Dain’s arm is a result of the curse making him immortal, which could actually very easily be Abyssal magic, but since we don’t know who cursed him, I’m gonna go ahead and say it was Celestia
the story about dainsleif being a legendary sword lines up with the fact that dainsleifs title was revealed to be the twilight sword in the recent archon quest, and the fact he was a royal guard (when the sword was crafted for a king). i definitely do see the parallels
the legend where dainsleif is a sword made to protect a prince makes sense in game considering he was a royal guard 500 years ago before Khaenri’ah downfall
So it has been debunked that he isn’t of royal blood. Kaeya comes from the Alberich clan which seem to be Khaenri’ahn nobility, possibly in the upper echelons of high society with very close ties to the king. As the Alberich Clan we’re chosen as regents in King Imrin’s place. So whether Kaeya is a prince? Hoyoverse: We’ll Yes, But also No. 😂
In regards to the Alberich story, it's worth mentioning that Alberich steals the "gold" from the "daughters of the Rhine" when they reject him in the original legend. In the destruction of Khaenri'ah, the alchemist Gold(!) played a major role, as well as Albedo's master, Rhinedottir (dottir means daughter, making her name literally daughter of the Rhine!), who created the black dragon, Durin. Opinions are currently split on if Rhinedottir potentially IS Gold or just has some kind of relation to them, but either way, Kaeya's surname being Alberich is no coincidence at all. Along with the other Khaenri'ah lore we have so far, it's very much clear that it is an intentional pick

In Kohsuke Toriumi (jp Va kaeya) interview he said that kaeya "someone who mind can't be read" "i think his type of character that keeps people guessing" "like there's something about him" "I can say that's he is an extreamly profound character. Its as if there's still something to uncover or something that missing. He's the character that has a lot to look forward to." And then he said: "what he's really....." But he didn't continue his word. 🤔🤔
With this, i could speculate the entire storyline of Teyvat, in Inazuma, the abyss would not be major as they are surrounded by water and the electro archon is cautious. My assumption is that the Fatui are starting a civil war to stop Baal's Tyranny. Possibly trying to steal the electro gnosis. Then the traveler will most likely realize this and try to stop the civil war to protect the electro archon from the fatui. We will most likely fail and the electro archon *may* be killed by possibly multiple harbingers. Then we follow the fatui and maybe find that they are planning something big. Then we go to the nearest nation which is Sumeru. The God of Wisdom is becoming ignorant, and the abyss order is going to use the dendro archon against celestia. Possibly using his knowledge of things like the True gods of celestia or the meaning of the world. Then the travelers try to go to the dendro archon only to find a puppet god that does the will of the abyss. While on our way, we are followed by the fatui and it is most likely a more friendly harbinger like Childe and we will fight the dendro archon together as he is no longer sane. However in the end, the harbinger backstabs us and takes the gnosis and teleporting without a trace. The outrage of the people of sumeru roars as they find their God dead inside his castle. We escape in the middle of the chaos to follow the fatui who is going to Fontaine where we meet the almighty Hydro Archon. She sees through all lies and unleashes justice as she tries to assassinate the fatui. There, she finds us. She sees that we are abnormal beings, aliens that shouldn't be here.She judges us and tries to kill us as we are not supposed to step on the soil of Teyvat and the fatui helps us and tries to steal the gnosis of the hydro archon. She becomes surrounded as five harbingers corner her to a position of no escape. They then escape and go back to snezhnaya. We then go to Natlan as it is the only other nation we have visited except snezhnaya and we see the Pyro Archon. He is very hostile until he sees through us and let's us in. He gives the traveler advice, to be cautious in the future. For the world will see the continuation of past battles. Kaeya then creates war with khaenriah and Teyvat. Where us in Natlan join in to stop the conflict. Snezhnaya aids the most and once the Abyss is suppressed, The tsaritsa invites us to her nation to which she tells us to stop the abyss. The abyss threatens to end humanity which is the opposite of what the tsaritsa desires, which is the liberation of humanity from the corrupted and evil celestial deities. The world, almost destroyed as the Tsaritsa stole the gnosis of most of the archons, is now in ruins and celestia has to step in. We then head to Khaenriah where we see the unknown god, the sustainer of heavenly principles destroying the monsters of the abyss. With the travelers instinct he attacks the unknown god with powers of all elements of teyvat. Hoping to help, Lumine who shares the same enemy fights her yet again. The same battle from the intro. But this time, Aether is within the laws of the world. Restricted through the elements created by celestia, He fails to beat her while his sister is being sealed once again. As aether sees the sword of her sister, he grabs it and tries to fight back. However the unknown god has already sealed her sister in celestia and with that she disappears into cubes. With the tsaritsa, dainsleif, and the remnants of the archons we ascend to Celestia using ancient Khaenrian technology and we battle with the Gods. In the end the only survivors were Dainsleif, The traveler, and paimon. One final doorway remains and dainsleif stops him. They have a heated dialogue until they began to fight. They battled with equal strength even with his sisters sword. But as he was slowly falling behind, he noticed that the sword is resonating with dainsleif. Using the sword he pierces through him although he is also stabbed aswell. But he sees that the core of dainsleif was his original sword. As he grabbed the sword he regained his powers and as he returned to godhood, he became immortal. With the power of Teyvat and his original power he faced against the unknown god dual wielding two swords of legendary sharpness and hardness. Using these he can finally win against her, and combining his powers with the elements amplified his power.Once he beat the unknown god as he saves Lumine something happens. Paimon merges with the unknown god and the world darkens as the Original Deity of the Universe awakes from her slumber. Knowing of your immortality she instead seals you for eons. This is then the starting point of Genshin Impact 2nd.
This holds more then the others, although does kaeya know where albedo was from? I feel internal conflict between he two. Or what if! Albedo turns and kaeya gets swayed.
I bet albedo is the alchemist gold student or even gold himself reincarnated or dormant. This is why we need story content as much as new characters and areas

Oh, also because I see the whole "Mi muhe ye" thing in the comments: in the trailer for version 1.5 where we'll get that Ella Musk event, it states in her notebook that mi muhe ye actually does mean "i love you". So it's kinda confusing- but we also know Ella's Hillichurlian isn't the best... Either way, I feel like at the end of the days, Kaeya will play his own game to protect either side somehow. i really believe kaeya does love mondstadt. bc as we've seen from the genshin manga, when there's something/someone threatening the safety of mond he /really/ takes his job seriously. and with his voicelines about khaenriah, he..... doesn't sound so fond of his homeland? he calls them sinners, and not worth mentioning. is it because they've become monsters now? is it because they left him all alone in a foreign land and he resents them for that? (do those sinners include himself) but at the same time... i'm not sure if kaeya would abandon his people just like that. him being khaenriah's "last hope" must weigh heavy in his mind. so when the time does come when kaeya /has/ to choose, which will he choose? happiness or duty? will he even be able to pick a side at all?

Take a look at Child story. I might be wrong but I believe he has some connection to the abyss order too. I think that the person that taught him the blade at the age of 14 was from Kheanria'h or was somehow connected to the abyss. There is more to it than just that, but I will leave it to your research.

Why is NO ONE ever mentioning how KAEYA FELT GUILTY????? ABOUT THE DEATH OF DILUC'S DAD????? IT WAS CLEARLY STATED! in fact he felt SO GUILTY that not arriving in time that day was his FIRST and last mistake in his entire career in the Knights of Favonius. He didn't stay with Diluc's father in the end because he thought he wasn't WORTHY. People just love omitting this part. Kaeya did love his new family and the guilt MUST be why he confessed to Diluc. Because he has started to love Mondstadt.

Just because someone may be morally dubious or mysterious doesn't mean they don't have good intentions for people. Kaeya also expressed a lot of fixation in the manga on the fact that the fatui was straight up kidnapping children talked about how gross it was and made a whole plan so that Collei didn't have to go to jail.
While this theory is very interesting, it has been debunked in game with the new hidden strife event letters. If you go to the favonius headquarters roof you can find a hidden box with a bit of kaeya lore, in a letter there it says the abelrich clan is not royalty. It honestly sounded like hoyoverse got tired to the theory and just put that in so we really get the memo haha. But I do think he is very important to the story still. Edit: he's a regent so there's still hope for royalty kaeya !!
What if kaeya will have a mental breakdown because of the pressure of choosing which side to go and ask the traveller for advice. And we will have the choice to side with Teyvat or Khanri'ah. And one choice will lead to the good ending and the other to the bad ending.
After our fight with Dvalin, Kaeya stopped the Abyss Order's "infiltration" of Mondstadt and "fraternized" them using his "linguistic powers." He then selectively chose the information he wanted to tell the traveler, such as the leader of the Abyss Order being a "princess." He then escapes when we pry him for more answers, making an excuse that Amber was coming. There's NO WAY the Abyss would have easily gave up very crucial information to Kaeya, considering how much respect the Abyss has for our sibling which whom they address as "Your Highness." Moreover, the Abyss Order leaving hints during Dainsleif's Archon quest would have been an intentional ploy by our sibling to reunite us for a moment to confirm each other's existence. He masked it as a "golden opportunity" for the Abyss to infiltrate Mondstadt, but truth be told, the Abyss had already contacted Kaeya, which was the golden opportunity all along. It's as if one of our sibling's plans had been set into motion upon coming into contact with Kaeya. And let's not gloss over Dainsleif insisting that he not interact with any of the crucial Mondstadt personalities during his visit.

Another thing about Kaeya is his basic attack makes him disappear in a ball of light before reappearing again, the same as an abyss mage would disappear in a ball of light.
His Q, his 4th constellation, and his fluffy scarf is all similar to abyss mages. His Q makes iscicles float around him like when abyss mages are regaining their shields. His 4th constellation gives him a shield, and his fluffy scarf/cape thingy looks like the fur of an abyss mage. THE RESEMBELANCE IS UNCANNY AHHHH

I have a headcanon that his specific way of using Cryo comes from his fur trim made from the fur of a Cryo Abyss Mage that he randomly encountered and strangled, then skinned it and had a fur trim made from its hide, but due to the hide still being infused with the mage's Cryo powers, some of his skills were morphed to look like those of a Cryo Abyss Mage.

I used to main him, until... Let's say, a list of inconveniences occurred.
My only pyro character for a long time was Amber and I couldn't defeat cryo regisvine so he got stuck at lvl 40.
Then I got Xiangling and managed to defeat it, but I had just gotten Chongyun from the stand by me event and would feel bad benching him, so I ascended him first.
Then I replaced him with Xianling since I had farmed already farmed the pyro regisvine a bunch of times, hoping to get Hu Tao or Xiangling.
Then I had to raise Diona so I can defeat oceanid without co-op, and then I got Bennett and had to raise Beidou, so I ran out treasure hoarder's insignia.
I ascended him, but still haven't leveled him up because I got Childe who's now stuck at lvl 60...

Kaeya has carried my team since day one and out of love and respect for him I poured everything I had into raising him. If you really want to main him again, just take your time and ration your resources between your dps units and supports.
If his constelation means many eyes, and Kaeya is intend to be a spy then Kaeya probably cover his eyes to prevent anyone in Abyss see what he see. As he said his eyes were just fine when traveller asked about that. I swear if Mihoyo made him dead-

Plus, with the colour schemes (kaeya generally having darker skin to match that of Alberich and dainsleif having similar colours to those people seen in depictions of the king. Ooooooo, now I wanna give a little insight to you yo. Apparently, the English translation ruined the mysterious appeal of his name card. Someone on Twitter made a thread about how Kaeya's character name card description in German, in Russian and in Spanish actually says:
"Kaeya is not missing an eye, but rather..."
The sentence ends there. It ends with 3 dots, a goddamn cliffhanger. In English, it's asking you a rhetorical question. But in the other languages, they are *literally telling* you that Kaeya's eye has more to it, evidenced by the cliffhanger.

Things is the starters were really bad at the start of the game since you couldn't upgrade their talents and the lack of 5 star artifacts didn't help either, but damn my kaeya hits harder than mi xiao lol. And lisa has an actual incredible scale but i haven't upgraded her yet...so yeah, still they are pretty good

And since starters can hit just as good as any other characters, their slander now feels more like a bunch of parrots repeating the same bs after each other without even trying to see for themselves if it's true and hating them only because they're free. I started playing in October and had Kaeya on my team ever since, it never crossed my mind he's weak lol.
Also my Xiao hits a bit harder with his E than my Kaeya, and Q is not really comparable imo, but doesn't change the fact Kaeya is still the king of normal attacks for me (plus he's an absolute tank), and that Xiao only got a significant boost because I was lucky enough to roll his spear recently, which is also the only 5 star weapon I got. the fact Kaeya still keeps up despite that says a lot about how strong he is

So I see that almost Noone is talking how Childe went to the abyss by accident, trained 3 months and when he come back only 3 days had passed, this imply Tha the time in the abyss and maybe even in khaen'ria is distorted, this could mean Kaeya could have actually seen the tragedy of 500 years ago, in that case the hate for Venti and the other gods is palpable and now that he is present the desire for vengeance may be almost overwelming

I see now. Kaeya mentioned that we would get a sword in his story quest, and then claims that there actually never was one. But, Dain was also known as the "Twilight Sword" . This makes me think that Dain is the sword that Kaeya mentioned and had fully expected the traveler and Paimon to meet Dainsleif.

I'd like to think that why kaeya's pigment is darker is because of the disease as we all know hilichurls have very dark pigment , and there's no reason for his skin to be tan when he lives in monstadt and kaenriah next to monstadt which has the same latitude as a European nation

The reason why Kaeya was planted in Mondstat was so that he could look for a cure or solution to what happened to his people. I heard this info on one of the Kaeya explanation videos on UA-cam also idk if it's this one. (spoiler alert) Also Dainslief is also from Khaenr'ah but he was cursed with immortality but I doubt this is kaeya's case

It would make sense if Dainsleif was meant to be our sword “Defeat me, command me to step aside, show me that you are worthier than I to save her” and when we defeat him, and hopefully he doesn’t die, he would probably join us and become our “sword”
I did suspect he's royalty because of his sword style. It is very elegant, the most elegant out of all sword users in the game currently imo. Which means he must be trained since he was young, and most royalties were trained to sword fight so...

As a kaeya main, I got goosebumps in your theory. Ever since I read his thoughts about fischl, I always believe the assumption that he's actually a prince. I've been commenting that theory in other video theories about him and his connection to khaenriah. Now I feel like the real protagonist of this world of teyvat is him (Not us since we're just outlanders who came from other world). it feels to me that the whole plot of this game is about Kaeya and the fate of teyvat is dependent on which side he chooses. To be the savior or to be the destroyer.
There's so much going on in this theory and I'm loving it. Can't wait for more archon quest about the abyss so we can learn more about him. Thanks for uploading this T^T. Now I will always believe that kaeya is of royal progeny unless the game prove it wrong.
If you saw kaeya's message on the poem he gave to venti, that gives more evidence that he is in kaenri'ah's side. He said " mi muhe ye means i love you in the language of the hilichurls".
Upon searching this i found out that he lied to venti and traveler. It is actually a death threat, and declaration of war against venti and the other gods. "Mi muhe ye" means
" i will triumph over you" kaeya is really sus. Considering mihoyo and their love for tragic scenes, i would not be surprised if we witness a death of an archon or god in future content.

Another detail that some people have already noticed is that Kaeya's vision looks different than the visions of the other ´(vision) holders from mondstadt. Vision holders from there seem to have a three-winged vision while holders from liyue have a square over another square-like form.
Kaeya's vision on the other hand is only two-winged, it looks pretty similar to mondstadt's vision but it's not the same. At first, I thought that may be because he's from Khaenri'ah but got his vision in mondstadt, but even Albedo (who's a pretty big mystery, too, and it's implied that he has a connection to Khaenri'ah) has a three-winged vision.
I don't know if that means something and, if it does, what it means, but up to this point Kaeya's the only vision holder where it's explicitly stated that he's from Khaenri'ah, at least as far as I'm aware. It could be another hint at something.
Also, fun fact: Kaeya seems to be an indian girl's name that means monsoon flower. I'm mostly guessing here, but monsoon's a rainy time from june to september in india. I'm not from there nor do I have any family members or friends there so I don't know how the monsoon is viewed in the country itself, but from a western point of view, I think of stuff like floodings.
Figuratively speaking, that could mean that he was born during a difficult time (monsoon; lots of rain; floodings etc.) but still managed to survive, thrive. Flowers can have a lot of meanings, but most people connect them with spring. Spring stands for new life, new opportunities, hope - it's the season after the long & dark winter. Seems kind of familiar if you ask me.

Interesting. Kaeya's Mondstadt vision has one less pair of wings on the bottom. I think visions' appearance is based on where the first person got it from the gods, rather than their birthplace. Most are live where they're born, and had life-changing (vision-granting) events there. There's a tight correlation. But there could be exceptions, because not everyone has a vision granted from thin air. Some get the object without power but then gain its recognition later.
Indeed, Ningguang got her vision from someone else but as she tried to sell it the vision came to accept her. Visions with dead users have no power, but Ningguang showed her industriousness (roughly speaking, that's what Geo means and requires) by trying to plan an auction for it, so she earned the elemental power.
For Mona I'm not sure because we meet her in Liyue but she has a Mondstadt-design vision. I looked at the wiki and it says it wasn't her vision but it was a teaching aid or something, until her vision(resonance) came into it. So the vision appeared in Mondstadt, got passed on to her teacher (or maybe it was her teacher's vision), and her teacher gave it to her, then Mona earned the elemental power, the "resonance with the vision".
For Kaeya, although the design is not different enough to indicate he didn't get it in Mondstadt, there could be something there because of his conflicting loyalties?
So when we talk about exceptions, it depends what rule has exceptions. Is Kaeya an exception (different appearance) because there's a mix of loyalties that meant the vision didn't form properly? Did he modify his vision? Those objects are surely not indestructible. And every character fashions their vision into an accessory of some kind so they can carry it on their person with their clothes. That would be a sensible explanation to establish how or why he'd do that. It's some kind of fashion statement that's very subtle and unnoticeable for those who don't pay attention to the smallest detail. As I said, his vision is identical in shape and theme in every way except the number of wings. Most people don't notice. I didn't until you said it.

To be honest it might not be with either side (the abyss nor teyvet) but actually his own side cuz Kaeya is known to work alone in important occasions that personally involves him and there’s many “occasions” that shows that Kaeya doesn’t need a helping hand to get the job done, he’s already shown to have connections with bad people and shown to have a good reputation in mondstat. Kaeya knows how to handle things on his own so he might not actually need the abysses help but might make an alliance with not just the abyss but teyvet and the fatui maybe (I’m saying the fatui since there known to make dealings and the Fatui ideals might actually align with Kaeya’s true motives...plus the Fatui is also a problem that get there own side).
Knowing Kaeya he might not actually want Teyvet destroyed but to destroy Celestia who caused the actual war, but to do so he might have to pull some strings and that means he needs to destroy everything to get Celestia to notice and might be willing to since he’s shown to have a sadistic behavior sometime when on missions with other knights.

In Chinese, it's 冰渊之心, which is "Heart of Icy Depths".
If that particular talent was truly connected to the Abyss, they would have named it like 深渊之心 instead (深渊 is Abyss in Chinese).

@@wolfhooks146 Oh no I was not denying the connection, I wanted to make it clear because I’ve seen people use this particular mistranslation as “evidence” for Kaeya/Abyss, especially on more open platforms like Twitter or UA-cam.
There is plenty more evidence that ties Kaeya and Khaenri’ah/Abyss together. No need to use a mistranslation to do so.
I'm still not sure if it's relevant or misinformation, but if what he wrote in his Windblume poem really did mean "I will triumph over you" then that really pushes Kaeya towards a betrayal route. I think he will betray Teyvat but maybe Diluc will pull him back to Teyvat's side in the final hour? It kind of depends how guilty Mihoyo want him to feel for Crepus' death and his relationships with the characters from Mondstadt.

I just realised that possibly all the Khaenri’ahn’s we know of in game are tied to the royal family and the King.
Kaeya: (most likely) the King’s son and heir
Dainsleif: Captain of the Royal Guard
Rhinedottir: an alchemist, most likely served the royal family
Pierro: in the Pale flame set it says- “I failed to earn the favor of the previous ruler.
So too did I fail to stop them from tearing away the veil of sin, ushering in a tide of divine wrath, destruction, and foolishness...” so he also has ties to royalty.
Which tells me that everything relating to Khaenri’ah is building up to Kaeya’s father and/or the Eclipse Dynasty in general. In the We Will Be Reunited Quest, Paimon even suggests that our twin may not even be the highest member in the Abyss and could be working for someone- the ‘king’ maybe? Aka Kaeya’s father?
Which leads me to believe that perhaps every plot relevant Khaenri’ahn serves the King’s interest in some way or form- which leads me to believe that his plan isn’t entirely reliant on Kaeya and he perhaps foresaw the consequences of leaving Kaeya with the possibility he could become too attached, so he uses the other Khaenri’ahn’s in game to pursue other contingency plans.
Either way I feel like he’s building up too be an endgame character. And since Khaenri’ah has Norse ties to it, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kaeya’s father was the ‘Odin’ type character in genshin impact- the most all knowing. And Kaeya and Dain with having an eyepatch/eye mask could be like an ode to Odin, the ruler of their homeland.
Of course this is all just a theory.

kaeya’s peers have their normal attack talent named as favonius bladework: ___ (including albedo) so perhaps he had prior blade training in khaenriah thus his bladework being different from the others
great video, and i agree with a lot of what you said! however, i feel that there are some details missing about kaeya's character here that are important to factor in when asking the question of where his loyalty will lie when it comes to teyvat and khaenri'ah.
to begin with, i think most people get so caught up on kaeya being a shady character and his obvious connections to the abyss and khaenri'ah that they tend to forget that kaeya is really loyal to the people he loves and to the home he's found in teyvat. he doesn't simply keep a list of prolific treasure hoarders and bandits and try to talk them into giving them more information just because it's interesting, but because he essentially functions as mondstadt's eyes and ears and because he cares about this city. in the manga, he's genuinely furious when the fatui suggest that mondstadt sell off their children for their experiments. he alone came up with idea to throw jean a party and was serious when he told the traveler that they "need to give her [their] full support." and as you said, he told diluc the truth because he felt the guilt of lying crushing him, but what you left out when you mentioned that he's a liar is that he lies because that's he sees that as his only choice. the one time he told the truth resulted in him losing family and ultimately becoming isolated due to this choice--""kaeya sees [his vision] as a stern reminder that he must live the rest of his life under the heavy burden of lies." not only this, but i think he must've been used to lying and deceiving already. since the abyss is such a dark place, being cunning looks like a survival instinct more than anything.
another thing that was worth mentioning but i felt was overlooked here and tends to be overlooked in general is that kaeya has an obvious distaste for the abyss order in the same way that dainsleif does. the first line we get from his "about kaeya" audio is about the abyss order causing the traveler trouble, and i feel this is more due to the fact that he knows how they are because of the time he spent in the abyss rather than because he's in cahoots with them. in another line about himself, it's very clear that when he says "the sinners are all that's left, and they're not worth mentioning" in khaenri'ah , the sinners are the abyss order. i personally feel that you may have misinterpreted his actions in the cutscene with the abyss mage as well, because he didn't look happy to find the mage there. talking to people he already knows are up to no good is simply the way he operates, and depending on the information his suspect makes privy to him, he may let them go or make their lives a living hell, as referenced from one of his character stories.
i think it's easier to say right now that he would clearly side with mondstadt, but you brought up an excellent point in the conclusion that kaeya had people he knew in khaenri'ah/the abyss before he was plucked up and placed in mondstadt. because we don't know who or what he had to leave behind in favor of his found family in mondstadt, the question of which side he'll choose becomes more relevant. i think that if we don't end up seeing his father, we'll definitely come across the survivors that knew him once we make it to the abyss, and i also think that he and dainsleif coming across one another would be a significant moment because as you suggested, it isn't likely that dainsleif is aware that there are still humans in the abyss that have survived generations after the destruction of khaenri'ah. and more than that, it's clear (to me, at least) that we're meant to take the connections between alberich and dainsleif in folklore quite literally. with that connection, i truly believe it's safe to say that kaeya was supposed to be khaenri'ahn royalty and would've been had the place not been destroyed 500 years prior.
also, just as an aside to other people in the comments and in the forums i come across, kaeya is not 500 years old, y'all. it'd be different if kaeya hadn't grown up with diluc when they were children, but that's not the case. though khaenri'ah was destroyed 500 years prior, kaeya himself was not there for it and is much more likely to have heard stories of what khaenri'ah used to be, hence why he says "the legacy of khaenri'ah is long gone." i think the game means to imply that there have been humans that managed to survive and attempt to carry on khaenri'ah's legacy and restore it to what it used to be once again. there's definitely something special about kaeya that set him apart from whoever else was also a descendant, enough for him to be their "last chance." and in the same way that dainsleif is the twilight sword, and childe inherited his foul legacy transformation (two of his constellations are called abyssal mayhem), kaeya may also have access to a specific abyssal/khaenri'ahn power. it's either that, or, as thekingfenrir said, the other surviving descendants must be dying off quickly, making him quite literally their last surviving chance.
anyway sorry for literal essay i just love kaeya so much and am really passionate about his character and story! i hope that whatever path mihoyo ends up taking with him is a path that does him justice. my expectations are heightened now after the recent archon quest exceeded my expectations. i would hate for them to have all this build up just for it to result in something really foolish. aside from mona saying he has a major decision to make, she also said he's destined for greatness and grandeur, so i hope to see that through!

I'm wondering,how the treasure hoarders found out about the "treasure" that is hidden in the ruins in the Archon quest. From Kaeya's story as you mentioned in the video we learn that Kaeya knows almost everything about treasure hoarders : place in the "hierarchy", name, area of activity. In my opinion Kaeya is somehow responsible for the death of the treasure hoarders Grandmaster. Isn't it strange that "Otherwise, things would get too boring" fits perfectly with the Archon quest situation and the sadistic tastes of the cavalry captain?

IT WAS CONFIRMED! Okay, here me out. There is a new enemy called a Shadowy Husk: Standard Banner. In the description of it in the archives, it says that it carries the symbol of the royal house on it's banner. If you look at Kaeya, there are multiple places you can see this very symbol; on his boots, the ends of his scarf, the center of his corset, the purple cloth hanging off his left shoulder, etc! There is no denying it at this point. Kaeya is Khaneri'ah royalty. Or at least he has something major to do with the royal family.
I feel like Dain’s arm is a result of the curse making him immortal, which could actually very easily be Abyssal magic, but since we don’t know who cursed him, I’m gonna go ahead and say it was Celestia

the story about dainsleif being a legendary sword lines up with the fact that dainsleifs title was revealed to be the twilight sword in the recent archon quest, and the fact he was a royal guard (when the sword was crafted for a king). i definitely do see the parallels
the legend where dainsleif is a sword made to protect a prince makes sense in game considering he was a royal guard 500 years ago before Khaenri’ah downfall
So it has been debunked that he isn’t of royal blood. Kaeya comes from the Alberich clan which seem to be Khaenri’ahn nobility, possibly in the upper echelons of high society with very close ties to the king. As the Alberich Clan we’re chosen as regents in King Imrin’s place.
So whether Kaeya is a prince?

In regards to the Alberich story, it's worth mentioning that Alberich steals the "gold" from the "daughters of the Rhine" when they reject him in the original legend.
In the destruction of Khaenri'ah, the alchemist Gold(!) played a major role, as well as Albedo's master, Rhinedottir (dottir means daughter, making her name literally daughter of the Rhine!), who created the black dragon, Durin.
Opinions are currently split on if Rhinedottir potentially IS Gold or just has some kind of relation to them, but either way, Kaeya's surname being Alberich is no coincidence at all. Along with the other Khaenri'ah lore we have so far, it's very much clear that it is an intentional pick

With this, i could speculate the entire storyline of Teyvat, in Inazuma, the abyss would not be major as they are surrounded by water and the electro archon is cautious. My assumption is that the Fatui are starting a civil war to stop Baal's Tyranny. Possibly trying to steal the electro gnosis. Then the traveler will most likely realize this and try to stop the civil war to protect the electro archon from the fatui. We will most likely fail and the electro archon *may* be killed by possibly multiple harbingers. Then we follow the fatui and maybe find that they are planning something big. Then we go to the nearest nation which is Sumeru. The God of Wisdom is becoming ignorant, and the abyss order is going to use the dendro archon against celestia. Possibly using his knowledge of things like the True gods of celestia or the meaning of the world. Then the travelers try to go to the dendro archon only to find a puppet god that does the will of the abyss. While on our way, we are followed by the fatui and it is most likely a more friendly harbinger like Childe and we will fight the dendro archon together as he is no longer sane. However in the end, the harbinger backstabs us and takes the gnosis and teleporting without a trace. The outrage of the people of sumeru roars as they find their God dead inside his castle. We escape in the middle of the chaos to follow the fatui who is going to Fontaine where we meet the almighty Hydro Archon. She sees through all lies and unleashes justice as she tries to assassinate the fatui. There, she finds us. She sees that we are abnormal beings, aliens that shouldn't be here.She judges us and tries to kill us as we are not supposed to step on the soil of Teyvat and the fatui helps us and tries to steal the gnosis of the hydro archon. She becomes surrounded as five harbingers corner her to a position of no escape. They then escape and go back to snezhnaya. We then go to Natlan as it is the only other nation we have visited except snezhnaya and we see the Pyro Archon. He is very hostile until he sees through us and let's us in. He gives the traveler advice, to be cautious in the future. For the world will see the continuation of past battles. Kaeya then creates war with khaenriah and Teyvat. Where us in Natlan join in to stop the conflict. Snezhnaya aids the most and once the Abyss is suppressed, The tsaritsa invites us to her nation to which she tells us to stop the abyss. The abyss threatens to end humanity which is the opposite of what the tsaritsa desires, which is the liberation of humanity from the corrupted and evil celestial deities. The world, almost destroyed as the Tsaritsa stole the gnosis of most of the archons, is now in ruins and celestia has to step in. We then head to Khaenriah where we see the unknown god, the sustainer of heavenly principles destroying the monsters of the abyss. With the travelers instinct he attacks the unknown god with powers of all elements of teyvat. Hoping to help, Lumine who shares the same enemy fights her yet again. The same battle from the intro. But this time, Aether is within the laws of the world. Restricted through the elements created by celestia, He fails to beat her while his sister is being sealed once again. As aether sees the sword of her sister, he grabs it and tries to fight back. However the unknown god has already sealed her sister in celestia and with that she disappears into cubes. With the tsaritsa, dainsleif, and the remnants of the archons we ascend to Celestia using ancient Khaenrian technology and we battle with the Gods. In the end the only survivors were Dainsleif, The traveler, and paimon. One final doorway remains and dainsleif stops him. They have a heated dialogue until they began to fight. They battled with equal strength even with his sisters sword. But as he was slowly falling behind, he noticed that the sword is resonating with dainsleif. Using the sword he pierces through him although he is also stabbed aswell. But he sees that the core of dainsleif was his original sword. As he grabbed the sword he regained his powers and as he returned to godhood, he became immortal. With the power of Teyvat and his original power he faced against the unknown god dual wielding two swords of legendary sharpness and hardness. Using these he can finally win against her, and combining his powers with the elements amplified his power.Once he beat the unknown god as he saves Lumine something happens. Paimon merges with the unknown god and the world darkens as the Original Deity of the Universe awakes from her slumber. Knowing of your immortality she instead seals you for eons. This is then the starting point of Genshin Impact 2nd.

Oh, also because I see the whole "Mi muhe ye" thing in the comments: in the trailer for version 1.5 where we'll get that Ella Musk event, it states in her notebook that mi muhe ye actually does mean "i love you". So it's kinda confusing- but we also know Ella's Hillichurlian isn't the best...
Either way, I feel like at the end of the days, Kaeya will play his own game to protect either side somehow. The ends justify the means, afterall
i really believe kaeya does love mondstadt. bc as we've seen from the genshin manga, when there's something/someone threatening the safety of mond he /really/ takes his job seriously. and with his voicelines about khaenriah, he..... doesn't sound so fond of his homeland? he calls them sinners, and not worth mentioning. is it because they've become monsters now? is it because they left him all alone in a foreign land and he resents them for that? (do those sinners include himself) but at the same time... i'm not sure if kaeya would abandon his people just like that. him being khaenriah's "last hope" must weigh heavy in his mind. so when the time does come when kaeya /has/ to choose, which will he choose? happiness or duty? will he even be able to pick a side at all?

Take a look at Child story. I might be wrong but I believe he has some connection to the abyss order too. I think that the person that taught him the blade at the age of 14 was from Kheanria'h or was somehow connected to the abyss. There is more to it than just that, but I will leave it to your research.

Why is NO ONE ever mentioning how KAEYA FELT GUILTY????? ABOUT THE DEATH OF DILUC'S DAD????? IT WAS CLEARLY STATED! in fact he felt SO GUILTY that not arriving in time that day was his FIRST and last mistake in his entire career in the Knights of Favonius. He didn't stay with Diluc's father in the end because he thought he wasn't WORTHY. People just love omitting this part. Kaeya did love his new family and the guilt MUST be why he confessed to Diluc. Because he has started to love Mondstadt.

Kaeya also expressed a lot of fixation in the manga on the fact that the fatui was straight up kidnapping children talked about how gross it was and made a whole plan so that Collei didn't have to go to jail.

While this theory is very interesting, it has been debunked in game with the new hidden strife event letters. If you go to the favonius headquarters roof you can find a hidden box with a bit of kaeya lore, in a letter there it says the abelrich clan is not royalty. It honestly sounded like hoyoverse got tired to the theory and just put that in so we really get the memo haha. But I do think he is very important to the story still.

After our fight with Dvalin, Kaeya stopped the Abyss Order's "infiltration" of Mondstadt and "fraternized" them using his "linguistic powers." He then selectively chose the information he wanted to tell the traveler, such as the leader of the Abyss Order being a "princess." He then escapes when we pry him for more answers, making an excuse that Amber was coming.
There's NO WAY the Abyss would have easily gave up very crucial information to Kaeya, considering how much respect the Abyss has for our sibling which whom they address as "Your Highness." Moreover, the Abyss Order leaving hints during Dainsleif's Archon quest would have been an intentional ploy by our sibling to reunite us for a moment to confirm each other's existence.
He masked it as a "golden opportunity" for the Abyss to infiltrate Mondstadt, but truth be told, the Abyss had already contacted Kaeya, which was the golden opportunity all along. It's as if one of our sibling's plans had been set into motion upon coming into contact with Kaeya. And let's not gloss over Dainsleif insisting that he not interact with any of the crucial Mondstadt personalities during his visit.
