@@streetwiserhapsody I think this is a problem for the game about kaeya for the lore, but moreso for albedo. Kaeya deserve more screentime especially if he is relevant to endgame but Albedo if any players skip the patch story event they will miss it even though the story of albedo relates back to cataclysm. I wonder how they gonna tie both of these characters story to main story. I could be wrong though, hopefully these especially two important characters from mondstadt in the future gets more relevancy what do you think?

Hoyo's clearly just setting up the story. Pretty sure in the earlier versions the writers then only had loose ideas of the story. But since we're entering the midpoint of the Teyvat vhapter, it's about time they've set up more solid plot points.

Why does Kaeya not look *that* much surprised about him being a descendant of Abyss Order’s founder? His voice totally sounds like he’s acting.. Also, dainsleif says us that Kaeya is still not trustable for *him* .

Kaeya never said no that he wasn't affiliated with the Abyss order. All he did was asked the traveler if they think he is. Kaeya was very particular about his wording. Also when asked if he knows anything about Khaenri'ah he said not really. But then identifies Dain as pure blooded.
This is recent from his hangout but Adelinde says whenever Kaeya answers a question with a question he's trying to make you believe something....
I personally think Kaeya doesn’t actually care if his secrets are revealed. I think he just likes messing with people and making it seem like a huge deal because he’s mischievous. 😂
If he didn't care about his secrets he would tell Varka truth about his dad instead of making up a story. Bonus it's not just Kaeya making a huge deal of it. He's not calling himself the last hope, it's written in his story and I doubt Kaeya messing with people would get him a whole cryo vision because he just wanted to "mess" with Diluc.

Apart of me wants to think the reason he's lying is because he doesn't want to hurt us the same way he hurt diluc when crepus past and trying to protect us but another part is he genuinely didn't know and only showed up to find more answers
I liked the story with Eide but Kaeya and Dainslief was barely a part of the quest. Like the whole quest was just us being in the memories of our sibling. WE NEED MORE KAEYA AND DAIN
I think Kaeya is trying to find allies. He's very reclusive and for good reason. I believe he plans to take back his homeland and dismantle the abyss but needs the Traveler's help; and he's slowly picking his team. I'm excited to see how it all plays out, especially with finding the other twin.
I just noticed Kaeya, Dain & Pierro all have mask/ eye patch on their right sided of their faces. So Kaeya actually got some part of the curse too!!?
Either his eye is cursed, or it was his mark from diwuc fight back then.
And to this day Dain is still waiting for his drink.

This doesn't surprise me at all, we already knew he was from khanreiah, and all the abysslings are mutated khanreians. His abilities and outfit are modeled after a cryo abyss mage for crying out loud.
That isn 't the surprising part. This could mean that Caribet is Kaeya's Ancestor. Which is HUGE NEWS. This means Dainsleif is wrong. Unless some women had a baby with a Hilachurl, Caribet has been cured from the curse. ALSO Clothor has died as well, who was suppose to be immortal.

Then apparently he assumes we are 'busy as always' and tells us to come meet him at Angel's Share the next time we visit mondstadt.

But that phrase is an obvious evasion, when he says “I'm a Mondstadt man and I'm not used to that” he's lying because Kaeya likes serious battles, he's the kind of guy who talks a lot with his tongue and knows how to entice with his speeches so that people tell him what he needs. Also here.

Dain and Kaeya are too in sync for it to be a coincidence. There have been characters that have said Alberich before, but these two are the only ones who pronounce the “ich” that way.
And it’s weird that Dain ordered a Death Afternoon and called the waiter “boss”. Obviously it’s his favorite drink, but Kaeya has referred to people as boss in his voice lines. To my knowledge, there’s not a lot of people in game who use that without referring to actual seniority
But this could literally all be a thing of the English dub, so take it with a grain of salt haha
For me...the most hilarious thing is how he claims hes on a business trip about alcohol...tries everything in the bar, in broad daylight...I find that hard to believe..

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this. . . So if Kaeya is a descendent of Clothor, and Clothor's son wasn't a pure blooded Khaenriahn, but I'm assuming Kaeya is since he's human. . . Is he the descendant of Clothor and a Khaenriahn woman?
That would make him pure blood he would probably have a mother who is not originally from khanenriah

Just finished the quest. As usual, there are more questions than answers. Dane and Kaeya's dialogue was good) But why so little, HoYo? ☹️ Really hope this was a prelude and we’ll be given the continuation of the Archons quest when another part of the desert is opened. Otherwise it's a shame! So many hopes and expectations... 😩
P.S. I also want one of the Archons to finally explain why the hell they treated Khaenri'ah so cruelly?? Seriously, a little more and I’ll cross over to the side of the Abyss!

Well, this confirms something most people mistook :
Kaeya is a descendant of someone from Khaenri'ah, not directly from Khaenri'ah. Because pure-blood Khaenri'ahns have the same eye color Dain has, while Kaeya has a more different color. Maybe his father got together with someone who hailed from Mondstadt?
I mean I get your point but, if his father is Khaenri'ahn it makes Kaeya a "descendant of someone from Khaenri'ah", no matter how you look at it, even if he's not a "pureblood". He's called a descendant of the founder of the abyss order so I think it speaks for itself..

I think Kaeya’s dad is a pure blooded Khaenri’ahn and he had a child with a Teyvatian (possibly from Sumeru) resulting in Kaeya being half-Khaenri’ahn.
Kaeya says ‘i recognise your eyes, you’re a pure blooded Khaenri’ahn aren’t you?’ So for him to distinguish between pure blooded Khaenri’ahns he must have known one I.e his own dad.

I think he'll most likely become some sort of antihero rather than straight up betraying teyvat (he's greatly indebted to the ragnvindrs and mondstadt after all), although i feel like there'll be some misunderstanding or worse, hatred from the people of mondstadt as he reveals his nature...

2. We never see what happened to Caribet after he spontaneously combusted into dark energy
3. Keaya mad sus
4. He was dropped off as a child the same age Caribet was when he was a Hilichurl
5. Keaya has to make a decision that will impact his and everyone else’s fate, one could say he’s intertwined with fate…perhaps the loom of fate?
6. We haven’t heard of his past before the Ragnvinders took him in
7. If your saying he can’t be because he can grow, I’ll ask you this, Teyvat has all kinda magic and bullshit like Faruzan who was trapped in time for 100 years so it’s likely Keaya could’ve been trapped in time until the time was right since he himself didn’t have the curse of immortality
8. Keaya isn’t pure blooded, I can’t imagine any Khanrian wanting to procreate after everything that happened, it’s not even confirmed whether they can procreate or not

There is a difference between kaeya’s eyes and dainsleif’s. Look closer. Kaeya has the pupil filled in. Dainsleif has the star shape but not filled in. Thats the difference between pure and (for lack of better word) non-pure khaenriahns.
But woah this quest had a lore bomb haha. Though slightly disappointed kaeya didn’t stick around for long. I wonder how he’s taking the news (that he is the descendant of the abyss order’s founder)
And to ppl calling kaeya a sussy liar, think before speaking because you obviously don't know his past lore. Kaeya has been hurt and abandoned time and time again, first by his birth father, 2nd when Crepus died (he was like a 2nd father to kaeya), and 3rd when Diluc tried to murder him for 'lying' to him even though kaeya was a kid who had no clue who could help him.
He has no reason to trust anyone completely. He bottles up his feelings and refuses to let them out with ppl he doesn't trust (those kind of ppl exist even irl, I'm one of them which is why I understand him). His entire personality is literally a mask to hide how mentally broken he actually is.
And yet no one calls out Dain for being a sussy liar, especially since he knew traveller's sibling yet never told us till we actually met the sibling for the first time

Yeah that shit was weird. Extremely weird. Rukadevatha (or however it is spelled the dendro archon before kusanali) do not go to kaenriah cause she stay in sumeru to protect irminsul, so how kaenriah is under sumeru? it makes no sense.
For myself, I explained it in such a way that Kaeya read false information in the book. You know, like in the stories with Atlantis there are many hypotheses where it could be. It might be the same here. The author of the book suggested that Kaenriah was under Sumeru for some reasons.

Hold up hold up! Dainsleff said Kaeya was a descendant of the Abyss Order's founder ( 5:06 ). Now go to 7:39 where Dainsleff recalls the Abyss call Lumine their Princess. Straight after, it sounds like Paimon is saying Lumine is the founder; that would mean Kaeya is a descendant of hers, as Nahida stated she is from Kaenri'ah. If there is time travel in this game, then my "drunk theory" (because it sounds like those theories drunkards come up with) might actually make sense just because I misheard something Paimon said.
I know that Lumine is the founder's successor and not the actual founder, but it just sounded funny when I misheard it. But yeah, imagine the twins are related to Kaeya.

It's not really a spoiler though, we are already aware that Kaeya's biological parents came from Khaenri'ah. It's a question he doesn't even ask in the actual dialogue since the thumbnail is edited. It would be a spoiler if the text is some crucial info that Dain says. The thumbnail literally reveals nothing from the actual video.
It was explained before that kaeya is part khaenriah in the event with razor's parents. And most thumbnail are edited so you don't have to worry
I know kaeya's background before but them meeting is one quest that i didn't know prior to this quest, and the fact that they did in sumeru is also another new piece of info.
You might have to stop looking at youtube when a new patch drops, this info was floating around everywhere from Twitter, to Facebook to UA-cam. UA-camrs and other creators won't really stop posting clips from new quests.
