Thank you for this lovely walk and the views, I so miss the open spaces. Little streams waterfalls bridges stunning scenery, gorgeous animals. Magical, I must get down for a trek. 🍁🍂🌲
Another lovely video, thank you Trev. The view from Bench Tor is lovely and the descent towards the river and back up is beautiful, as you said. Thank you for managing to get so many videos up recently despite the restrictions. I love to see Dartmoor. 👏👏❤️❤️
No worries - thanks for continuing to watch them. Been a tough old year for everyone so I am grateful that I have been so closely situated to the moors and able to share these walks with others.
Brilliant as usual Trev , more arty slow mo at the water falls. 👍👍. You really do make me miss Dartmoor. Thanks for posting, already waiting for next week's.
Another great video Trev. Thanks mate. You guys are an inspiration, I watch your videos and itch to get out. This morning I got up to the Moors before the sun came up and walked along from top tor to Honeybag and back around the bottom path around the hill. You recognised them correctly. Amazing frosty day. Keep up the videos, loving them.
A walk with a bit of everything thrown in, which I enjoyed, as I have not been able to get out being in Tier 3. The Falls looked great and ideal for a cold water swim, something I have been watching on UA-cam lately. I have always been on edge walking passed cows after a very nasty experience with a group of friends 5 years ago and dogs and running are two very bad ideas. The ponies were real nice, especially the young one "I hope he does not get teased".....lol! cheers Alan
Ah sorry to hear that Alan! Hope things ease off soon so you can get back out up on the hills. Stay safe, mate and make the most of the festive season! I somehow know you will haha!
I have no idea how you continue to put out so much content, Trev, but i massively appreciate it. You have even inspired me to get out and start walking, myself. I live in the NW, a short distance from the Lake District. Starting in the new year, I’m going to do the Lake District equivalent of the 365 - boxing off wainwrights. Thanks again!
Trev, you smashed it again 👍 Great scenery very diverse 👌 The sound and picture quality were first rate accompanied by pleasant music. Take it easy atb Taff 🤠
I have not been to the Dartmoor area since the Luna Eclipse back in the summer of 1999 I think. Maybe it is about time I popped back again. Great video, thanks for sharing. W :)
I would love to see the venford twin falls.. But like last time I visited rain more rain so I just drove to places instead. so gutted this year I have printed maps of circular walks. my boots are no longer water proof so no rainy walks until I replace my solamons. I have done a lot of miles in my solamons even in the rain . I am visiting Dartmoor for 5 days and 4 nights. So if there is a break in the weather I want to do a vlog and have a brew next to the falls . I have most of my circular walks based on your walks but adapted so I can bag more tors using the car . I was a local I would be hiking on my days off in Dartmoor. my first encounter Dartmoor was in cadets . even back then I felt at home and at peace not the moors. Thank Trevor. really enjoyed this one. Karl
@@SummitOrNothing I am still going to a legal campsite under a 4x4 tarp with the trusty banshee 300 underneath for 5 days and 4 nights. when the weather clears have a walk around venford resovior and hopefully bits of the Merrivale area. take care dude. oh funny story . walked from the campsite to beard own tor made a brew packed up. thought I was alone. saw some sheep come.on the torrent and a sheep with a black face came up so I sang to it and suddenly 2 young hikers came up mid chorus. and carried on singing. thought sod it I might as well finish. on such a high because I was so high up and can see wish man's woods and others tors I have visited. San country roads on the way back down the tor. it was in January and a sunny day. such a nice short circular hike. anyways Thank for the reply take care dude.
Very polished video Trev. Bench Tor looks a nice tor. We tried a Venford walk ealier in the year but were plagued by appalling weather and troublesome cattle so we bailed. Will head back sometime though. ATB John.
Nice one, Trev, and that path between Venford and Combestone Farm is one I haven't walked for many years, or at least in my lifetime. 6:33 that's Aller Brook Tor, sorry, couldn't help myself ha ha! Yeah, the South Moor isn't for everyone, but I do think there are some places you haven't visited yet that you would like. ATB Max.
Haha... you only been down here in a past life, eh, Max?? Well that would explain quite a lot of how someone at your age knows sooooooo much about Dartmoor lol. Cheers for watching mate!
i`ve sung bohemian rhapsody in my pants under those falls (much to the bemusement of my long suffering wife!) , looks a tad nippy to repeat it today though trev!! lol , great vid yet again
WONDERFUL Trev. Great advice with regards to dogs and cows mate. If you haven't exposed your dogs to cattle put them on lead. But if you put the effort in and train them to ignore all things wildlife you will be golden. 👍👍Double thumbs up from me mate.😀
Nice one Trev I've onlbeen to the twin falls once but must go again and I want to go to bemch Tor for a sunrise but that will be a bit difficult cos we're not allowed to camp there😁👍
Yea, I guess thw sun would rise right over that valley too. You'd have to get up nice and early to get there for sun up mate. Cheers for watching chief!
Usually I have a day or two aside for editing, this week has been a different matter. Literally finished this vid with an hour of uploading. Cheers for watching
yer thanks Trev was just thinking do you plan a shoot in advance as it must take a while to mount the camera on its tripod and then walk in and out of shot..I know your interest was in filming first then taking up the walking...hicking camping stuff...I live in Essex .. It is a hell of a drive down to the moors from here..sadly so have to do a lot of planning...how is the camper van doing...you and Nath going to hunt the beast of Dartmoor???
Nice one trev Venford twin falls is on my Dartmoor list 👍 I bloody hate cows, I have given up on pre planned routes because of them in the past. If I could change one thing on dartmoor it would be get rid of the cows lol Peace ✌️
Haha! Yea, there sure is plenty of them out on the moors. I watched a video of a cow attack that a friend was sent at work... I wasn't too nervous before I saw that I must admit! Bloody horrendous! Stay safe buddy! all the best!
I'm going to ask a dumb question I've been meaning to ask: What is Dartmoor? Is it public land or a National Park? I could look it up but I would rather hear it from a local like yourself, Trevor. Beautiful place every time you go there!! It does need a few more hammock trees though. 😀
Its a national park, mate, with bits privately owned here and there. It certainly is stunning but a lot of the woods and forestries that it does have are not permitted camping spots. I must get my hammock out again soon. Cheers for watching

Cracking Video Trev, that climb back up the bank from the falls was near vertical, I would be blowing after that climb lol
Hahah! Yea it was a fairly steep stomp up out of there - not too bad though. Worth it! Cheers for watching!

Yea, there are some dickheads out there letting the side down for sure. Cheers for watching.
I love a walk like this that takes in a bit of everything, waterfalls, woodland, tors and moorland. Perfect. Take care, Sue 👍
Cheers sue - Yea - a bit of everything here! Hope you guys are keeping well! Thanks for tuning in!
Coming back up from the twin falls always get you heart pumping, may not be a bad thing during the freezing winter though ~ XD
