Ran my first 5k at 16 y.o this weekend! Had no idea how it would go but beat my goal and got a 26:54 time and placed 1st in my age group. Your vids inspired me to push myself, thank you cody!

I did my first Ironman in the fall, and by no means a professional. My advice is just go the pace you’ve been training on the bike. Your legs will be jelly after no matter how hard you go. The run is going to suck, so just embrace it. Embrace the suck.
Fella you should look up midfoot cleat position for the bike. Might help your knees and apparently a lot of tri peeps find it helps save their legs for the run. May have to ditch the speedplays tho

Casey is right, the run is everything. If you walk the marathon it takes 6.5 hours, if you run it you save 2+ hours. It's all about the run.
