Thank you for such a simple and adaptable demonstration. This was my first time making anything other than a scarf. I knitted in white and added little ears on top. So cute!
Wow! I loved watching your Tutorial on this Cute little Hat! I have learned something New today just because of you! I Appreciate it so very much, Thank you!
Hi, thanks for the video, am wondering about your sewing up, you seem to stitch the two loops together and then do you go thru the knots on either side? Could you please explain what your method is. I knit for prem babies and they don't want the ridge that seems to occur when sewing up....
Just finished my attempt at this little hat. This is my second knit project I finished. Not without boo boo's but I did not try to fix the boo boo's. I kept on going and figure out what I did wrong and how a stitch should look. Double stitches were interesting. I did catch a ply and increased a couple times and eventually decreased back to where I needed to be. Looks odd but still a functional hat. Next one will be better. Im also using my own hand spun two ply yarn. This one was from my Jacob fleece. Going to donate to the hospital. Does not look like yours.
kiwiljl Thank you for your comment. Yes it can I have a video using dpns ua-cam.com/video/ArYvzKz1D8A/v-deo.html follow the the exact pattern on that video. If you need any help just leave me a comment on there and I'll get back to you soon
Hi, If I have a 3.25 mm needle and a slightly thinner yarn as compared to what you have in the video, and I still want to follow the pattern for 3-9 months how many more stitches do I need to add to the base row?
Really enjoy you videos do you have a pattern for knitted granny squares to make a blanket using dk. wool and 4 mm needles cause I'm in England. Love varnar. xx
These rows with knit 6 knit 2 together or knit 5 knit 2 together is this all the way along the row, I had another pattern like this with 36 stitches for prem hat it didnt work out.
Gadblatz Hi, you would have to cast on about 140 sts, but to be more accurate measure around the head in cms, times that by 22 and divide the answer by 10 that should tell you how many sts to cast on for example if the persons' head circumference measured 50 cm you would do the following 50x22=1100 1100÷10 = 110 so in this instance you would cast on 110 sts For the height I would say rib for 8-10 rows or how ever many you'd like. The finished height of the hat should be roughly 28 cm. Complete a Stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl the next etc...) until the whole hat from the bottom of the rib measures about 20-22 cm then start decreasing *Row 1* K8, K2tog, *Row 2* Purl all *Row 3* K7, K2tog etc.... Everyone's head size is slightly different so just use this as a guide. *Note* This is an untested pattern and is working on the idea that you are using the same needle and yarn size as stated in this video. I would say give it a go and make it your own project. If you need any help just leave me a comment.
This looks very nice. What size needles do I need for this preemie hat. Only one suggestion this late in the game. Make your instruction in a bigger font. Even with my classes I was unable to read the instruccions.
Silvia Lanus at the beginning on the what you’ll need part I will always write the equivalent US yarn. DK is light worsted weight yarn. I hope that helps :)
+Lovely Jubbly Knits hii good evening yes really it's adorable ... thanks for guiding us giving us your precious time as well really appreciating God bless ...!
Bethany Sparke are you accidentally putting knits on top of purls and vice versa? You can do K1, P1 if its easier. You don't have to make a rib if its hard for you just complete the whole hat in garter stitch (knit all rows) and make it an inch longer before you decrease so you can roll up the brim.
Bundle In A Basket Right i will try it like that i guess im just rusty not knitted since winter. Thank you for your advice hopefully i get the hat completed lol
Bethany Sparke Aww hun don't worry you'll get back on it again. You can also see the written pattern for this hat on my blog so you don't have to keep going back and forth on the video, the link is in the description bar
Gracie Rangel if you follow along with the video it explains it but if you want you can check out my website www.bundleinabasket.com I have a tab for abbreviations it explains it there too but and in any case you need more help on any particular term just leave me a message I’ll try to help the best I can.
Eva Fabianova if you need help with the pattern just ask. My patterns are aimed at people who know the basic stitches and can understand knitting terminology. There are plenty of videos around that have voice overs if you need to here someone explain it.

Hi, If I have a 3.25 mm needle and a slightly thinner yarn as compared to what you have in the video, and I still want to follow the pattern for 3-9 months how many more stitches do I need to add to the base row?
Question: so for row 14 do I continue to *K6 K2tog for rest of row after first k2tog?? Or just knit rest of row normal?
For row 14 you will K6, K2tog, K6, K2tog, K6, K2tog etc... to the end of the row.
Really enjoy you videos do you have a pattern for knitted granny squares to make a blanket using dk. wool and 4 mm needles cause I'm in England. Love varnar. xx

Thank you so easy
by the way, is it ok to use baby yarn, which in USA, is weight 3,kind of dk?
Silvia Lanus at the beginning on the what you’ll need part I will always write the equivalent US yarn. DK is light worsted weight yarn. I hope that helps :)
@@BundleInABasket Sorry I dont understand" at the beginning on the what you'll need part I will..."
Silvia Lanus if you pause the video at 4 seconds there’s a part that tells you all the stuff you’ll need to complete the hat.
Bundle In A Basket yes, I saw it. It seems your dk is thicker than baby yarn.
Silvia Lanus just slightly thicker. You can use baby yarn but use 2 strands together at the same time
Just found your vid, brilliant tutorial thanks so much!!!
love it
thankyou so much love it...!

sorry, but if you can't explain step by step, you should write properly and sometimes show how it looks after each 10 rows for example.
