Loved the show but glad they ended it when and how they did. Many shows don’t and it kind of ruins it.
The final season was silly but the last show of the last season was just right.

A great thing about Parks and Rec, there was never a "very special episode" Jerry's fart attack 😂 was as close as it got to serious.
I mean there's a Special Episode that was aired during the pandemic and it's the first time they collaborated five years after the series ended
@@legomarvelfan0075 "very special episode" in this context was an 80s-90s trope where a sitcom would devote an episode to a message for impressionable youngsters like: don't talk to strangers, don't take drugs, don't have sex. Stuff like that. The best example I could give would be the Saved By The Bell episode where the girl got addicted to caffeine pills so she could stay awake to study (they were still a little shy to use illegal drugs in some of these stories lest they make it TOO real).

The first, very short, season was not good. Season 2 they started to see the light. Seasons 3 through 7, one of the best, funniest runs of sitcom television in history. A lot of people think Ron Swanson was best but the entire cast was fantastic, every character pitch perfect, especially after Rob Lowe and Adam Scott came on board. It's hard to imagine any TV show nailing a final season any better than Parks & Rec.
I didn't hate the finale, but it wasn't the best episode by a long shot. In fact, it wasn't really that memorable.
Howard won’t shut up
There's another way comedy finales can fail - by being cloying and sappy as hell.
Parks and Rec is one of those shows that starts great and then ran out of ideas and turned into a soap opera where it’s just the same old trite arch of many characters falling in love, getting married… boring.
Opposite of what you said is what is real though
