Thank you so much for this. My calc professor this semester has literally just put examples on the board and nothing else all semester, I literally didn't know there were 3 different line integral equations.
No prob!! I definitely knew I had to do that in the part 3 video because Vector Calc is where most students just get SUPER lost (myself included). I knew a regular practice problems video wouldn't cut it.
You’re so helpful. I’ve gotten straight A’s in Calculus I and II. But in Calculus III, Ludus, I’ve been absolutely STRUGGLING. My professor is no good, the TA’s aren’t much better, and even my classmates aren’t the most helpful (a lot of them are struggling too). This video is like oxygen to me. So helpful. Thank you SO much. I wish I found this sooner, but I’m glad I found it now.
Max Radlicz - I’m glad I could help!!! I know a lot of students tend to struggle with Vector Calculus (I did), so in this part 3 video, I wanted to try to make it as clear as possible! If you see anything that I could do to improve, I’d love to hear it!
@@LudusYT One thing I noticed was the way you solved a stokes theorem problem. I was taught to take the double integral of the dot product of the curl(F) and the n vector. The n vector is either or depending on the direction of the n vector, whether upward or downward. This made more sense to me than what you did in the video. I hope this makes sense. But, other than that, everything else was perfect! Thanks!
Really appreciate this review series, it was very very helpful. I really hope that we get questions this simple on the final, I've never seen questions this easy on homeworks and in lecture
I wish I found you before I got a B- in class! the 2/5 rating on ratemyprofessor should’ve told me to stay away but I’m sure I’ll use these videos as a guide next semester thank you
I am genuinely confused for quite a while during the surface integral section. And I wish Ludus could have given two examples for each concept and skipped some of the integration. (I think how to set up is what we really need to review). However, this video is practical and helpful, and for a video that is only an hour-long, it does a pretty good job balancing theory and practice.
I appreciate the feedback. I’ll be remaking these videos, and doing a much better job in a few months or so. What specifically were you having trouble with on the surface integrals section?
Also, I should add that I personally like when professors do out all the integration bc then I see the problem fully solved, but I do see where you’re coming from and I will take that into consideration.
@@LudusYT I think you should keep showing how to solve the integrals bc it's helpful (and ppl can simply skip through it if they think it's a waste of time), but I do think that maybe having 2 examples each might be nice
On the curl example, the answer at 38:11 is incorrect. All of the elements of the vector are positive because the negative from the cos is canceled by the negative that operates on that element. In the first case, the i section, it is being subtracted in the cross product, which cancels the negative from the cos. Then the rest are similar. If this is incorrect please let me know, I don't want to miss anything important.
You're an absolute legend m8. These Calc 3 review videos are so good and supremely underrated. It's mind boggling that this has less than a thousand views, it should have hundreds of thousands. It's pure quality.
Damn you deserve more views. Ye there is not a calc 3 stoke fans community but still, even after the prophet(prof) Leonard, you made me understood differences of those theorems. Thank you for this.
Joseph A - No problem! I really hope they help you out when your final comes along. I’ll be coming out with my first calc 1 final review video in the next couple of days, so if you know anyone that could benefit from that (or from the calc 2 & 3 final videos) definitely let ‘em know! Thanks for all the support.
For the first problem, you mention we have to use equation #2 but I don't see where you acutally used it in the problem at all. How did you apply it? What happened to the x'(t)???
At time ua-cam.com/video/N5qHu72GVdI/v-deo.html I think it should be cos(2 theta)/2 but since sin(2pi) or sin(0) were zero, we ended up getting the right answer.

I HAVE FINAL AFTER ALMOST 4 DAYS AND I TOTALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING IN CALCULUS 3 THANKS GOD I FOUND THIS SERIES.. BRO THANK YOU ALOTT AMAZING😪💖
Thank you so much for this. My calc professor this semester has literally just put examples on the board and nothing else all semester, I literally didn't know there were 3 different line integral equations.
Yikes, I'm sorry for you!! I had some friends that had awful calc 3 professors (thank god I didn't). I'm glad I could help man!
crazy how the way this is taught makes it soooo much easier to understand. Thank you for explaining the concepts behind the math

Thanks very much man! Good last minute review of it all before my final tomorrow. The rest of my 18.02 class here at MIT sends their regards as well!
wow i almost gave up studying before finding this video. you are a legend
Lol I’m glad I could help!!
JUST LIKE ME LOL
You just taught me all of multi 7 hours before my final (for UVA Engineering). Seriously, thank you!
Did you do good? Currently going through the EXACT same thing and need to know if this will be beneficial!! Didn’t get Hellings :(
3 weeks of class taught better in an hour, thanks bro
This video saved my calc grade, This is amazing, I am forever in debt to you. You are so good at explaining things.
