African American Builds A 200 Acre Sustainable Gated Community After Moving To Ghana

- I had a chat with Eric McNeal, who moved to Ghana in 2016 and built a house on a 5-acre land to live off-grid in the mountains. He later sold this house and decided to go all in by starting a 200-acre eco-friendly gated community in Somanya in the Eastern Region. Eric is the CEO of Migrating Culture Crossing. Let’s explore this beautiful sustainable and organic community, along with all the amenities and everything in between. What a green community.

Rush, it was really a pleasure having you visit us in our eco-friendly community and you're always welcome. The video is great!
Thank you for sharing your story with us Eric.

The driving factors that truly motivated us to purchase a home were the transparency of the work Eric is doing, his honesty, and the quality he is including in the building of each home. Quality work continues to be done on the development of this beautiful upcoming community. 👏
Hi Eric! I loved this Rush video....I can see that more houses have been roofed and the entry gate is completed with pretty good road.....the large lake/reservoir is almost done.....now the rains can come!! Thank you for the sincere job you have done. God bless!! Hope to see you in 2 years to collect my keys for our detached 2 bedroom Sankofa house!! Huraah Uhuru!! Cheers!!
I’m thinking of buying one of his houses. The one bedroom apartment. I’m a Liberian living in Massachusetts. I’m impressed.
Seems this community is going to be the real melting pot.
We would love to have you as a homeowner. 🤗
Are you an Americo-Liberian? If so, you need to stay on American soil where you belong. Africans are aware of what the Americo-Liberians have done to Indigenous Liberians and their erasure of Indigenous African culture & languages.
Best interview of Eric I have seen. Given that Rush is American and Ghanaian, he knows the right questions to ask and knows how to contrasts the two worlds to make sense of it for potential investors and those choosing to migrate.
Thank you
It's uncommon to come across genuine and trustworthy humans. This ex military man is the real deal just looking at his CV alone you could see he is hardworking and effectively productive in everything he engages himself in. God bless his hustle and may he continue to affect and change loads of people's lives
Thank you. I am deeply humbled. 🙏
I want to learn from this gentleman!!!
Greetings Rush! Great interview with Eric. He is one of the best that black America has to offer. 🇺🇸 I am so proud of what he brings to Ghana. I support him and look forward to helping with his efforts in any way I can. He has been the real deal! ❤️🖤💚
Glad you like the interview and thanks for you continuous support. 🙏
@@EricIsFree The pleasure is all mine Eric. 🙏🏾
He is really good in what he is doing.
Now THIS could be the future face of African Television! This is the most encouraging vid I have watched so far this year. I wish Africans at Home and Africans Abroad could have an International Black Media network that can give us More ideas, advice and sucess stories to BUILD AFRICA.
I enjoyed watching the positive interaction between our Host Rush Asare and Mr McNeal. Can we work together? OF COURSE!. We ALL just need to be Honest and Professional in our relations with each other . But YES! I feel very encouraged. I also believe that we must push for a media Network that has a TV/radio channel. I could watch this type of content for hours! BIG UP Rush and Eric
🎉🎉🎉
Eric McNeal is an awesome visionary entrepreneur, God Bless him, and thank you Rush for sharing.
Eric you represent us Black Americans very well. Doing business abroad is where it's at. We should be global people.
Amen
Thank you. I just try to focus on solutions.
For sure, many more black Americans need to come back to Africa. Their knowledge and skills are crucial for Africa to leap forward in development.

Lovely concept. Everything looks great. I wish your camera person would have panned around to the living room. What is the square footage of the 1 bedroom?
Eric has been on several channels/platforms on his development of this community. I'm in Awe every time.
I hope to have the opportunities to purchase and see the development at it's full potential

Hell Rush. Please do an episode regarding the healthcare system in the areas and communities you are developing ? Thanks. Where do you go or refer people to for healthcare?
We are close to Tema.
My experience in Ghana from Cameroon at the time was bad. I came to Ghana from Cameroon to invest, but all I got was scammed. I lost my good amount of money, got really sick and finally went back to Cameroon to start it allover again. Still I loved Ghana for the peace. Also I met one of the most incredible people in my life while in Ghana. Truly not all Ghanaians are bad
We really appreciate enjoyed listening to your conversation with the developer

Would be cool is FAMU (or NC AT&T, Tuskegee or my favorite Ft. Valley State) and the local Ghanaian university work out a partnership.
This is really nice

Rush this video is so powerful.
Very interesting project. In future videos can also include smell of local nature, and taste of food, because telepathic technology makes that happen.
How abt you build one and do that yourself. You run nothing and are not capable of anything but running your mouth

Greetings eric, what part of Ghana 🇬🇭 is this community ? Very bless liveing ❤
🙏🏾💞🌹
My only question in that area what about animals and snakes?
I love it. I know I have to do research.
This study found that in Northern Ghana, there are an estimated 86 envenomings and 24 deaths per 100,000 people per year, mainly caused by Echis ocellatus. Other studies in the Brong-Ahafo Region of Ghana found a snakebite incidence of 92 per 100,000.
My word!
Thankfully, Somanya is in Southeastern Ghana. ;-) Ghana overall has 9600 bites per year. The US has approximately 7000-8000 snakebites per year. Brazil has 27,000 snakebites per year. In China, 200,000-400,000 snakebites per year. Just adding a little perspective so that folks are not made to fear African countries unnecessarily.
large project
Most definitely. You did a good job as usual.
🙏🏿
Learn more and you will know the difference between the two countries.
God bless you.
What good are gated communities doing the western societies that we should gloriously implement?
You must get Wambugu Apples/fruits from Kenya in 2 years they are having fruits.
We have some. Our lands manager just recently returned from Kenya with many seedlings.
Im in America and i want to leave how much to get a house on your land for me and my family
I thought Americans use more cheap materials than anywhere else in the world. Their wall are basically paper boards. On the contrary, we use solid materials here in Ghana. These whole MDF are other cheap engineered wood are all recent imported phenomenon
No offence but the high cost of things in Ghana makes no sense for how backwards/slow minded the country is.
The price of a town house in East Legon hills can get you a 4 bedroom ACTUAL luxury apartment with a reliable elevator in Nairobi. Where things actually work! Where there’s street lights ! Trees! Super fast reliable internet and actual hot water. So what makes Ghana so expensive aside greed?
😂😂
You bring that 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@HughJass-jv2lt Ghana is too backwards for the price they ask for. I’m here to tell people the truth. I love Ghana but the mentality needs to change. Everyone is frustrated. The average Ghanaian thinks like a 2 year old. No critical thinking skills.
Great comment! I have wondered the same.
@@mitzi4043 Ivory Coast just next door has more going for it than Ghana.
Stop throwing dust in people eyes
The cost of living in Washington DC, New York , Las Vegas is different from Alabama- we have 16 Regions - Ghana is not only Accra and East Legon etc etc
Prices varies depending on your taste and location
A house cost $10,000 in cape coast - Central region
A piece of land cost $100,000 in East Legon…….
I would love to become a citizen of Ghana actually reside there could you let Me. Eric know that I'm interested
I want to know?
Hi Rush, do you still have lands for sale at Afienya and how much is a plot. Thanks
Have to wait for Akkadian City sales. Our email is always open
Great interview... Boss can I get your contact? Thanks
Wait he doesn't own the land.? What's to stop the owners from kicking him off and selling it to another buyer after he develop the land and make it more valuable? I have a bad feeling about this. It kinda sound like he is in a deal like a form of sharecropping with the owner.
He owns the land. He said he went into a deal with them to not pay everything upfront. I am doing the same thing. It’s not easy to pay for 200 acres of land out of your pocket. You can take on debt to do it and use the property as a collateral, which is a terrible idea. You can get an investor to finance the land, which means you are selling a portion of your company. Or you can be brilliant and let the owner agree to a payment plan. You give no equity, and take on no debt, this is what Eric brilliantly did.

If a Ghanaian was doing this project, he'd want to sell a studio for $500,000. Even though it's hours away from Accra😂. Then when no right minded person buys it, he'll turn it into guest house with some bull sh* customer service. You'd have to bring your own towel and toilet paper. No hot water btw. Smdh GHANA!
You must really be Ghanaian!
🤣🤣
But would you be interested in living in Eric's community?
@@HughJass-jv2lt It's nice and admirable. I mean sure but if i was to buy it, it would be for maybe a weekend get away or rental thing. I'd rather live on my own piece of land where i have my own privacy to do what i feel like on the land.
Forget about Nairobi not everyone wants East Africa.
Why couldn't he do that in America? Black Americans need affordable housing along with organic food. A sustainable Black Community.
So, this guy does not even own the land! Funny, his one time deal of 50% off 3 years ago is still being offered!
?
African Americans segregating themselves in any African country will be a problem in the future. This is wrong. It's better they mix with the locals
Didn’t you hear Eric say… most of the home buyers are Ghanaians in the diaspora then Caribbean’s and AA.
😂😂
Yes..
Much better for them to Move into your area, drive up the prices of everything, which then forces the Locals to move away because they can no longer afford the basics.
@stevenwillam the community is open to Ghanian as well there are few Ghanaians who have already purchased homes
Typical black man not paying attention. Your fears and insecurities play out. When you go to Africa, you have to debrainwash your programming bcos nobody knows your Afric American.and many don't care.

After how they demolished the Hebrew Israelites religious leaders house when he has legal land denture, sorry but I have lost all faith in buying land and real estate in Ghana. land reform needed too much corruption and land fraud.
Here comes the con man coming with his con plan. what a crook
All we do is build everywhere we go. Proud of my people but he building up the wrong lands. Our are here not in africa. And eventually those africans will get jealous and either destroy the community or take it over.
