Thank you Mark for another informative video. I’m in the market for a plane and love the Mooneys. Nice to know the F and G have the extra legroom. 201 is likely out of my price range.
Didn’t know that the G was a stretched C. Makes sense though. Lost the forest for the trees and couldn’t figure out the difference between the F and the G.
Sorry about the sound quality on this one. Great plane though. Yes a Mooney for everyone, small, short, medium, long, big engine, small engine, turbo, non-turbo, fast slow. All bases covered with the confusing array of the range of models.
Thanks Mark. I know this aeroplane doesn't have the Scimitar prop but your own Mooney does. How do you find it on the Mooney? My Dad had one on a Bonanza, and while it pulled you through the sky ok, I always thought the tips were too fine, and therefore susceptible to damage. What's the wear like on a Mooney. Particularly if operating out of dirt strips occasionally. Cheers.
The Scimitar is AD free and is very good and Mooney's hardly ever are on dirt strips. Dust and gravel do not seem to bother it any more than any other prop.
Great channel. When I am ready to buy my M20J I am going to Skywagons. Blanco turned me on to this company. Nice to have a legit knowledgeable person to help navigate buying. I tried myself once on a Beech Travelair. The battery quit at the airport we were leaving from. Just an expensive mess of lies. $80,000 mistake. Never again
I used to own a M20F. What a great plane. Loved the J-bar.

Yes, a 201 is a sportier F model.
Sorry about the sound in that video, I will do another one with a better mic.

A G is a stretched C model. An F is a stretched E with 65 gallons (up from 50)
Nice! One came up for sale on Facebook. Pretty good deal. If I lived in the lower 48 I’d get one.
Get one while you can.
Always liked Mooneys. I have a client with a 310HP IO-520 powered M20R. Roomy, compared to early versions and very nice to fly.

I've painted many of these with the same paint scheme
Great content. I love my G ……‘stretched C’
Yes, G is stretched C and F is stretched E. Great planes. I have a shortened F ( an E)
The F-Modell often has electric Gear. Also may F have a fixed Step, not only the Js.
Wow, wish I had gotten an F model now instead of the C.
C's are great, I've had three. Inject a C and add 20 HP and stretch it 9 inches and you have an F. Nice planes.
May I Ask where did you do all this Modification to this Aircraft Specially on the Engine cawling
It's all standard STC's or factory installs. The cowling closure is the LASAR Cowl Closure Modification.

Thanks Terry! We look forward to being able to help you find the right airplane.
