D&H, DELAWARE & HUDSON, in the late 1970s. Jack's "CLASSIC SERIES"

Thanks for watching Jack's "CLASSIC SERIES" on the D&H in the late 1970's.
All these clips were filmed with a Kodak 8mm sound movie camera. Sorry about the quality, and the sound. Those old cameras had issues.
Most of these were filmed in the Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton area of Pennsylvania on Conrail. This was early Conrail, and there were LOTS of slow orders at that time.

Hi Jack. Once again another great video. Just a couple of corrections I wanted to point out. At 0:10 was actually at Glendon. Surprisingly the bridge you filmed at is still there but it's completely closed off. At 1:55 was at Catasauqua where I believe the L&NE went across the CNJ mainline just down from the Pine St bridge which is still there and in use.

Love those ALCOs! In my State, the Arkansas & Missouri railroad still have a fleet of C420s they use in freight service and on their passenger excursions.

The cameras had issues? Hell back then the railroads had issues, so its appropriate. Im just glad sombody went to the trouble. Id like to see the Rock Island the way i remember. Rockin side to side. Almost scary.

I just Loved Railfanning the D&H in the late 70s -80s Jack !!
The Binghamton area had so many great places to go then one of my very favorite places even in the Guilford era with all the crazy lashups of 3 Builders and all the many paint schemes and the Susie Q also there !! 👍
