    It really upsets me that Simon is passed in this life now!! He was such a kind,gentle,humble man. He loved the bikes,the travel,the speed,but I could always see that he loved the time spent with Becky,John Mc, Cam, the kids, more than the racing!! The Good always seem to die young!! He even said in the video " I want to be here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else". RIP buddy!!! You are not forgotten. I watch these TT vids daily and see your face daily, so do many many more!!!

    Thanks to the creators of films about TT and legendary racers. I watch all the films with pleasure. It's a pity that I don't understand English and there are no Russian subtitles.

      It's not very quick or dangerous really. The vast majority of riders don't come to any harm and you can't go that fast in bewteen houses etc.

    • @kjmitchell1
      @kjmitchell1 9 років тому +13

      Harold-Sweat-Head 132 mph avarage and 200+ top speeds, since when was that not that quick

    • @harold-sweat-head8111
      @harold-sweat-head8111 9 років тому +1

      The speeds are exaggerated. I've used specialist equipment bought on Ebay from China that measures vehicle speed. I discovered the top speed of these riders is no more than 97.335mph.

      Kezsa Mitchell I think he might be mad. I saw Steve Hislop do a 125 mph lap there back in '91 and they've moved on massively since then ... specialist Chinese speed equipment bought on ebay!!!! that's actually very funny

      Fair statement. He was good but with people who are legends of these courses. Heard when he passed at the NW he had ran wide on that corner a couple times. Got to respect his courage though. He wanted it.

    You can always rely on an Aussie in a tough time John. We are a pretty resilient lot. Sad that Simon got back on a bike after this. Those around him should really have told him he wasn't cut out for it. Simon was developing a habit of pushing harder than he was capable of, coming off, having serious surgery's and kidding himself that he was ok to go again and look what happened. Not everybody has the ability at the pointy end and in my opinion, based on 35 years of driving/riding, I believe Simon was someone who could ride fast, but not race fast. R.I.P Simon Andrews & thoughts to your family.
