I’ve just finished the book and I’m in awe. Something about this relationship enraptured me because it was messy and raw and real. We don’t always love who we should, and we don’t always get what we deserve. This book really struck me. I’m still trying to figure out in my head whether I loved it, liked it, how I feel about it- because it makes you question that. I can safely say I’ve watched this video multiple times and I think you really captured the nature of their relationship. I can’t wait for when the movie will eventually come, because I know damn well I’ll be in the cinema watching it.
I couldn't agree with you more!! The dynamic between the two totally captured my attention and completely drew me in, those two stayed with me since I finished the book. I can't get them out of my head lol The book itself was so meta and gave readers much to think about and all these complex relationships were a cherry on top. Also, I am super excited for the movie!! Just thinking about seeing my faves on the big screen gives me chills!

I personally think it was mis-advertised as a relationship between the girl and the devil but god if I didn’t love their dynamic anyways. I adored every scene/pages these two had together. It may not be healthy and it may not be good but as I said before it’s raw and messy and real. I’m glad you understood their relationship well enough to make this video. The line “You’ll never be friends, you’ll be in love until it kills you both.” hit me so fucking much, because it just FITS. I have to thank you for adding it, because it had me thinking and craving more of them. I’m sorry for rambling, but I really loved them and this video so much and wanted to write that out!!

He was very relatable and his problems were something to think about. Yeah, I did expect more from Addie and Luc's relationship, but then I read reviews and all were pretty negative towards Luc so I figured it was a lost cause, but nope Veronica delivered and we got our endgame!! I think the best way I can describe Henry and Addie is: to him Addie was an entire story while Henry was only a chapter in hers. It's never really confirmed she loved him and it is confirmed that she loved Luc. When Henry says that he loves her Addie says it back, but her inner thoughts are: "She wants it to be true". It's so telling in my opinion. Even in the very end she says she doesn't know that it was love or the fact he could remember. I used various projects of Lily and Tom (Inheritance, Tolkien, Les Misérables, The Last Tycoon, Emily in Paris, Love Rosie, Red Joan, The Game, and Agatha Christie's Marple).
I really hope the autor makes a second book. I finished it yesterday too and im having a mental breakdown, i can't believe such an epic story just finished

Besides that it would never have worked out in the end, since she is eternal and he is mortal. Besides that she is Luc has a much more remarkable and real story. Luc and Addie aren't just a cliché love affair.
