Overal I think people are happy, Bandit AI seems a bit slow but it might be just their movement speed and the fact that those bandits feel like a tutorial gunfight... - Ігри

yeah it does, another half a year about will do it good, the game ran better when I played it tho, better than this recorded stuff as far as I could tell

I'm not making this up lol, it might be recording software because I can confirm this is exactly how the game looked, its all in game footage, so the gamescon hardware might've been really beefy, or again it was the recording software possibly

Here's a bit of positive news:
Just wanted to provide some info from a non-english speaking reviewer who got to play the demo on Gamescom. Besides what everyone already heard and saw, the graphics ain't as bad as they appeared in the trailer. According to him the game looked somewhere between the 'Come to me' trailer (or whatever it's called) and the last trailer we got from gamescom. He's also got to speak to the devs and they said they intend on improving the graphics to match the initial trailers. Most importantly he said that everything felt like the original stalker that we all love, the atmosphere/vibe were exactly what a veteran of the series would want and that the hiccups can be fixed given the timeframe. Like for example the indoor glass wasn't breakable, which hopefully will be a thing on release.
There were some wonky moments with AI when after he died they kept charging at him from their original location. However, overall the ai seemed to display tactics like taking cover, holding ground and flanking (if my memory is correct). Also there was moment where he tried to loot but couldn't because the key mapped to looting wasn't working - another anomaly of course.
From his perspective it seemed that they had to stitch together a rushed trailer for Gamescom which caused it to be actually worse than the actual demo.

Awesome, I mean I basically came to the same conclusion and I’ve talked about similar stuff in my other videos and even the podcast on ItsTommy.. but its good to have somewhat confirmation & reassurance, I did not speak to a developer .. only very briefly about the checkpoint save system

Looks like you can add/remove attachments on the fly, which would be cool
yup with a quick menu, default hotkey was middle mouse button, In the originals it was always really awkward to go in your inventory and rightclick a weapon to remove a scope.. or worse look for a scope in your inventory and rightclick "put on" !
@@lennic Enyo had always wanted a helmet where you would be able lower the visor on the fly for better defence in exchange for lower visibility. Hopefully we can get that now.
was there any sign of Russian or Ukrainian? just English sounds off to me mabye it's just me.
Just english so far, even the bandits spoke english
You can change the settings in a menu.. to ukranian, or even just German ,or Italian, these games tend to ship with a few languages.
@@lennic I hope that settings is not just for subtitles, I cannot get immersed in the chernobyl setting if everyone talks English. Look at the older trailer which was in Russian when we first learn the protagonist's name "skif" it's miles better. Anyway fingers crossed.
don't worry, there'll be a Ukrainian dub for sure, it's confirmed 100%. german, Italian and french have only subtitles for now tho

How was the AI in the demo??
can't say , too short, I did however get flanked on multiple occasions from many angles, they seem to move around more when they're outside of your view, like the original
The graphics look much worse than in the trailers before. Only the one from 2021 is significantly better lighting, textures, effects. Ray tracing will certainly not come in the first place. The graphics of Metro Exodus are no longer as good as they used to be. It's going to be like Dying Light 2 Graphics have been scaled back a lot. The graphics looked completely different in the trailers. Unfortunately, the atmosphere suffers from the not so good graphics. As you can hear from other developers, the U5 engine has performance problems

graphics look downgraded to previous gameplay trailer footage.
the bitrate on my stream and this youtube re-stream was quite awful and my main footage was in 936p... I honestly think it looks similar to earlier trailers, be sure to watch the full video on youtube too
@@lennic I did.. there's a lot of people all over UA-cam pointing it out as well. Hope these guys take more time and deliver the polished product.
