For the black paint I used a satin finish black paint. The brand I used was Dulux but you can use any brand. Ask the person working at the paint store what they would recommend but I would suggest going with something geard for higher traffic areas.
Looks great.. we have dark brown wood staircase and wanting to do black. Do you think the primer you used without the gray tint will work well? Did you use the same primer for the door frames?
@@shaylablessed just any black satin finish paint. The brand I used was dulux. I’d ask the person at the paint store tho if your concerned because they might have something different to recommend
Don't tell people how to paint there rails the wrong way. Your title says you skipped every important step. Here's I (you) painted them. Not a how to paint them. Sorry just saying
Sorry I'm not being rude, I just don't want someone to ruin there stairs by following this video, then costing them more money to have a painter fix them in a week when it peels off
It’s been over a year and no paint has peeled off my stairs🤷🏻♀️ my fathers a painter and finished the black for me, and also made sure the primer was the proper primer for this project

Is that paint satin or semi gloss
Pretty but prefer before
When I watch home improvement video's they include supplies and what was used including paint. Fail.
I hold the actual paint up to the camera!😂 also, not a home improvement show
@@Nathb you held up the primer but not the paint. I'd like to know also.
